The problem with the system as it is set up is that it doesn't feel it needs to be courteous, respectful or civil. It just grabs - because OTHERS need. What happens when the producer of that money - e.g., me, BackBay or anyone - says, "Hey I need to fix my roof. I need to feed my kids. I can't afford to give you more money, I need it." We are sneered at and more is demanded. Enough. None of you has a right to a penny of my money. If I wish to help you, that is my choice and my right. That is what needs to be said. Make your case for why I should help you, or your sister or your pal down the street. But get that gun out of my face demanding I fork over more and more and more. Have you seen india on the amazing race? Would it be better to just ignore those who have nothing? You should help people because you're human. You don't kick people when they're down, you attempt to help them up
