You can say that if we take away Greg's immunity win then she wins 4-3, but take away any one of her 4 wins, and Richard probably wins anyways. She chose to rely on immunity rather than common sense. Even though it was the first season, I don't see how anyone could see Kelly's decision as smart (everyone in the FTC thought she was wishy-washy, and her votes were primarilly against Richard, not for her). |

Under non-All-Star circumstances, Amber doesn't even make the merge because Lex isn't dumb enough to listen to Rob when he asks him to save her. Amber
was saved by Rob EVERY time and wound up winning because Lex and Tom, Rob's pre-show buddies, were pissed that Rob played them. Kathy was the only one who
WASN'T bitter at Rob. Under normal circumstances, he wins 5-2 at least.

The only reason they had the random 1 round tribe mix up on all stars was The Producers wanted to help Kathy and Lex who were favorites on their initial
season.

All I say that Amber has a good strategy. Latch on to a bastardy strategic person and build up the alliance. Know that the people you include are very bitchy
and bitter. Then, strike them out and let the strategic person take the fall on the jury depending on how bitter the person is.
All in all, she played a really good game. Becky tried to imitate but the people she played with weren't bitter at the other two, and Yul was NOT hateable. Katie was basically tried to imitate Amber but what happened was she made moves (well more compared to Caryn and Tom... Tom dominated, had it not been for Caryn, a woman would have won Palau?) but she was the bastardy one that everyone hated. That's what makes Amber stand out as a winner, people have tried to duplicate her strategy but ultimately, it was impossible to copy. The whole ASS cast was basically they type of people suited for Amber's type of play. And that's what hated about her imo. Can't say that I like her but her strategy was right. It would work in FvF too, had Amanda played more properly. She was already playing a very Amber-like game that season but ultimately, due to her own mistakes she made pre-merge (booting Joel... he prob would be a solid vote for her. What was a good move for Cirie wasn't for her.), she wasn't able to get votes of jury members. Heck, had she played different and made proper boots, she probably would win against Parv. |

Doesn't that tell you something about the total uniqueness of Amber's situation?
She played a good game being not Rob. By that I mean her name was not Rob Mariano, and that is the sole reason she won the game. She sat there and did nothing for 39 days and got rewarded for it because she wasn't Rob.
Well of course its pretty much impossible to copy. How many other seasons involve personal relationships from outside the game before the game begins? :P |

For the record, Amanda wanted them to throw the same immunity challenge that Zhan Hu threw, but Fei Long didn't believe in throwing challenges. So Amanda sat out of that challenge knowing she didn't want to win that one and didn't want to have a hand in Fei Long's victory.AMANDA LOVE <3 Anyways, I am shocked that Kelly (Borneo) is even on this list. All she knew to do was win challenges and she gave one of the worst tribal council speeches in history. Honestly she named Gretchen and SONJA as the ones deserving to be in the final 2. Also, in defence of Steph and the Jolanda boot, on the Palau commentaries Tom and Caryn mentioned that Jolanda was hardcore targetting her since the first day, so I think it was smarter for Steph to think more about herself than about the tribe's physical strength. Who could have honestly predicted that Ulong would lose all those challenge just by looking at how strong their tribe was?? And also Jolanda lost them the first challenge so yeah About whoever said that if Eliza didn't win F5 immunity then Julie would be in F4, that's wrong. On the commentaries Eliza asked Chris/Twila/Scout during the final episode and they said that if one of them had won immunity Julie would definately go, and Chris agreed. I am rather happy with how this list is shaping up so far other than a few specific people. |

Concerning Amber, the real reason why she's a weak winner is because she was the most forgettable character of the 18 prior to All Stars. I pegged her to
win based on that alone since practically the entire game was determined by eliminating the biggest strategic threats based on past reputation until we were
left with a F7 of C-listers and the guy whose season nobody had seen in full (Rupert).

Teresa should be much higher. How the fuck are Earl, Yau, and Cassandra still there? If you think Cassandra played a good game, fine, but you can't think that all three are up with the best of the best. I'm a huge Yau fan, but strategy wise, he doesn't deserve to beat Amanda. Then again, PG is still there somehow.
