S17 Gabon Discussion - Onion Fails and Gets Blindsided Once Again

I know Paloma is on a different tribe, but she didn't quit, as she was being dragged like a rag doll through the dirt, she kept kicking, and made an attempt to put up a fight, although it made no difference for her...at least she didn't quit. G.C. made no effort, and I hope he goes next. I thought Paloma was going to leave but I loved to see her spunk and it was cool to see Kelly throw a vote against Ace

Now if she targeted Sugar instead, maybe I could see that happening. Ace is the only other "strong" challenge asset they have on Kota, they'd be fools to vote him out. Anyway, great episode.. it was awesome to see Fang finally win something, hopefully they can keep the momentum going.

I'm beginning to develop actual opinions about some of the characters, which is nice, since I didn't get to do that much after the premiere. I was relieved to see Paloma go over Ace, not because I didn't like her, but because Ace is quality entertainment that needs to stick around. When that second vote for Ace was read, I started to doubt he would survive, but then the Paloma votes started rolling in, which I loved. Sugar finding the HII after seasons of people like Terry, Yul, Yau, Earl, Ozzy, Jason, and other huge threats stumbling upon it really excited me (and the idea of her going to the F2 with Ace and then crushing him in a final vote, as ridiculously unlikely as that is, is just delightful). Furthermore, I'm trying to stay a bit more distanced from the show this time (actually, it's just happening due to my schedule, but I'm going with it), and so far, I haven't picked up on any obvious winner edits, which is great. I noticed Marcus had a strong opening in the first two episodes, but from what I remember he was INV (or nearly invisible) in this episode, which isn't good for his chances.

Ace said that Paloma "Gave up" but I think she did the best she could possible i mean she really did look like a rag doll and for someone her size she did not stand a chance.

It kind of bugs me that a tribe goes to tribal council and 4 out of the 9 people are almost completely ignored. GC needs to leave. He contributes nothing to the game and no entertainment value whatsoever. I'm excited for the rank the tribe challenge/swap thing which will hopefully create more waves and entertainment. Oh the other thing I didn't like was that I was able to guess Paloma went home as soon as they were done with the previously on survivor bit. They need to change that. I want real suspense as to who goes home.

In my mind Dan, Kelly, Jacquie and Susie are the only ones who haven't yet had any entertainment value, whereas in Cooks or Fiji you could add half the cast to the list at this point. And even of those four, Jacquie is already in a ruling alliance and Kelly wakes negative feelings for her association with Paloma, when then again Becky, Sundra, Jenny, Rebecca, Brad, Cristina, Adam or Stephannie had none of that after 3 eps.
