The slip n slide in Fiji didn't work well with just water, so SEG added oil.. like wesson oil , I suppose, but that's just my guess.

Why are they sliding down if the puzzle bags are behind them? (Or do they hang 'em up when they grab a bag??)

I'm thinking they went out and got those yellow and red bags, and brought them back to hang them up.
I guess it could just be a weight. The little shelf thing raises up, and with enough weights, whatever Bob and Ken are supposed to do becomes accessible to them. Is the yellow one really hanging kinda lower, or it just looks that way because our angle is different? |

I like the idea of it being a counterweight etc birdlady. I'm just not sure about hanging the bags up for the simple reason that even if Ken climbed on
that table, i don't think he could reach high enough to hang the bags up. Why have them so far out of reach if they're just counterweights? More
likely, whatever they do, brings the bag down to them.
I do think that the painted boards on either side of them look to be a measuring line. Once whatever they have to do reaches the top of the painted section, they win. The yellow bag does look lower than the red one. It could be the angle though when comparing Corinne's height to Susie's height in other pictures, it looks relatively comparable to this photo, which would lend a little creedence to your thought that the yellow bag may be lower than the red one. But then when you look at the table height, it comes up to Ken's waist while it looks to come up only to Bob's knees. I know Ken is shorter but..... lololol i almost see a rope coming out of the top of Susie's head but i can't find a comparable one over on Kota's side so i'm discounting it for now. I do think you're on the money with the counterweight thingy. :) |

If Fang does indeed win Reward it looks like Dan was the MVP since it seems everyone else is out of the challenges besides him and two Kota members (Charlie
and someone).

BJ: "No way! The slip and slide challenge was a classic. Carry on ... "
For a second there I thought the classic was BJ ;) On being lubed up: Wouldn't just being wet help propel one down a water slide, like they do at water parks? Would oil help any more?

Thanks anyhow for posting!
I guess this confirms that GC and Matty are pulling people off, and Ace is one of the people holding on. |

Don't mind all the language, I just copied and pasted what I posted on my site.
This appears to be the same challenge as we saw in Cook Islands. Whereas all players held onto poles at the same time in CI, we believe that the tribes will compete in heats. Each tribe will select who is holding onto a pole within each heat, and they will also decide who will be pulling them off as well. The first tribe to score 2 or more points wins. From all the previews we have seen thus far, the tribes will be broken down like so: Pole Holders: Ace, Paloma, Sugar / Dan, Ken, Susie Grabbers: Charlie, Corinne/Jacquie?, Marcus, Robert, / Crystal, GC, Matty, Randy Our guesses to the heats would be: Ace vs. Dan - 1 point for Fang, as Dan is seen further from the line Paloma vs. Susie/Kenn - 1 point for Fang, our rag doll gets owned and Susie will be hard to lug around Sugar vs. Susie/Ken - Unknown |

Would like to see a good picture of the pole Grab from Jeff's blog. Looks like a good full field shot. Gives you an idea of how far they have to drag
someone. As the runner head down to the poles you can see people standing around behind them. Looks like some kind of framing down there. I swear that is GC
and Susie coming down to grab on Ace or bob. With Charlie and Marcus going for Dan. I wish I had slow motion for the blogs.

So who's sitting out for the Slip and Slide?

I think folks decided it's Jacquie, Kelly, Corinne. (The blonds all still look alike to me, as do the suits.) Or Jacque, I don't think we have
consensus on whether it's her or CBS that spells weird.
Everyone competing for Fang. |

birdlady wrote: I think those are the three sit outs for the pole pull, which means they have to complete in the slip n slide. I see Ace and Bob in the slip n slide caps which leaves Charlie, Marcus, Paloma and Sugar for the sit outs. My guess is Paloma and Sugar are the Kota sit outs. |

Oh, you're right. All those poles and lubrication got me confused...
If someone can get vidcaps from Probst's preview (or just has good eyes and a big screen, probably), there is a brief shot of the start of the slip n slide, which I think shows everyone. Right around 50 seconds in. (And thanks for embedding, anywho!) Can we read any meaning into Probst's closing words "If Fang has any luck at all"? He opens the preview by saying "They did it to themselves". I guess that is supposed to mean the only way they could win immunity is luck, not by being better at the challenge? He still doesn't seem very enthused or interested either way...
