No airport drama. I mean, there was ZERO incident that the teams were on different flights. Well, there was actually one with Dandrew in Kazakhstan but there
was bunching point.
No rootable teams in the F4
Only one leg where they had to self-drive, New Zealand
More predictable than TAR9
The only saving grace of this season are the unique pit stop greeters.

It was pretty boring, but with this show, it usually takes me a few episodes to become fully invested... so I'm hoping that's the case again this
season.

Not much really happened on this premiere.
Last season had stubborn braying donkeys that slowed down a few teams. Animals on the first leg should be a requirement. |

Most TARs start off slow but then get really good and this wasn't bad at all although I agree it was formulaic. The season that started off best TAR
All-Stars ended up having a horrible end so I am more concerned with the middle and end of the race

Uh, save donkeys and teams attempting to say the capital of Burkina Faso, the first three episodes of last season sucked. Especially the snoozefest that was
the leg in Amsterdam. And look at how that season turned out ....

This opening was about average. Certainly not bad and not outstanding. The later episodes are what really matter and when the real fun stuff happens

Boring Yes but unlike AR12 where they were in the backfield of Ireland and would have been a boring hour and half premier this season premier should have been
90 minutes. This premier was to rushed. I mean the commercial breaks were a joke. WOW a team was left off the first flight, it happens every season. Kelly
and Christie are the BQ's version 2.0 they basically did the exact same thing in the first episode. The last three teams were ignored totally [Marissa and
Brooke Who? Did Anthony speak? and Anita and Arthur who?]. Terrance and Sarah stole the show and were overly annoying.
As for someone commenting saying the teams are BORING? WTF and Season 12's teams were good, wasnt that the LA dominated season at the start. This season has some great teams, Terr and Sarah will be great TV, Ryan and Starr seem good, The Frats will be classics too. |

It's an incredible disappointment compared to TARA3 too.
Geoff/Tisha + Mai/Oliver > Terence/Sarah + Ken/Tina Ida/Tania > all the meh girl teams Kapil/Niroo > Guido douche and Mom AD/Fuzzie > shitty underdog old hippies It is too soon to say if it's a good season but if Terence/Sarah, Ken/Tina, Andrew/Dan and Mark/Bill go in the first half, it'll most likely suck - though Survivor Micronesia showed that even if all the decent castmembers are gone by the merge episode you can still have a strong group of episodes if the dynamics are right. snoozefest TAR6 after an awesome TAR5TAR6 had possibly the best premiere ever. It only fell apart from Don/MJ's elimination onwards (apart from the epic Jonathan elimination). (actually TAR4 had a decent premiere too. TAR13's probably just beats TAR3's as the worst). |
