I just checked the local news' restoration map and die's neighborhood is still scheduled to get power back on Thursday.
Can I just say how much Ike sucks ass? Traffic is a freaking nightmare! |

Our electricity was out for 5 hours one night a couple of weeks ago and I was going crazy...I went to bed at 9:00! We have two small generators that we use
for tailgating, a portable satellite dish & TV, a gas stove and gas grill so I guess we'd be okay for a little while. But...two weeks??? There is just
no way I could live without air conditioning for that long. I'd have to live in my car! And...speaking of cars...I'm in Atlanta and can't get
gas!!! The gas has gone up to 4.10 - 4.20 and most stations are out of gas!! I have a quarter of a tank and went 15 miles down the road yesterday and
couldn't find one place that had gas so I came home. (I have a Sequoia that gets 15 miles per gallon...I wasted 2 gallons just looking for gas!) This is
crazy. Hurrican season isn't over yet either...I dread what will happen if we have another major hurricane this season.
I really hope die checks in by Friday or we'll have to send out a sucks search party! |

I found myself thinking about her as I was driving home from work today and I almost got side-swiped.  I gotta keep my mind
on the road/cars and not think about rushing home
