That's more than we spend on education, veteran's benefits, and transportation COMBINED, yet the Republicans tell us that deficits don't matter. Until you have to pay the interest on the money borrowed to cover those deficits.

This is beyond the pale. You want to talk about a character issue. This is about character. I know some of you won't believe me, but I am actually disappointed in McCain. I didn't think he would do something like this. Remember I voted for him in the 2000 primaries when I was still a Republican. He was a guy I believed in. To see him make up things about something so important and personal, it makes you lose faith in all politicians to some degree. Is there anything they won't stoop to? He's a politician - there is nothing he won't do to get elected.� They're all like that, ultimately. But it is disappointing - you'd think his service would be heroic enough.

The one who crossed the border are the hardworking ones. Lazy or secure folks stayed home. Beside, it was the high taxes in Mexico that leads them to flee here plus drug wars, political corruption, etc....
