I don't think it's because of your writing. I think it's because, as you said, the first two episodes tend to be more straight-forward and more about survival than about alliances, so it's hard for people to view those as spectacular.

Yes, I agree and Gabon is pretty much the exact same way. I've laid out the first four episodes in pretty good detail and the first two are definitely more survival than alliances, although there's probably more a bit more strategy in the pre-TC scenes than usual.

Also, I finally remembered a comment I wanted to make earlier. Tracy's winning should've been foreshadowed when she was the only fan who was not just able to outlast her favorite, but she personally took him out, thus showing that she was playing the game and not a fan like Erik was.

True, although that wasn't part of my thought process in coming up with the Earl storyline.

Alright, so the Reunion will finally go up tomorrow. I'm not sure what time exactly since I'll be at school until about 12:30, but it will most likely be sometime in the afternoon. There's also a Gabon preview...

One thing I do want to say about Gabon (I may have mentioned this already) is that the tribes I use are going to be different from the show, but since my season won't be premiering until AFTER, I don't think it will confuse anyone. The reason for this is because: 1) I didn't know the real tribes when I started planning; 2) I'm not doing a pick'em in the first episode. It's unnecessary and it just wastes valuable space and time in the episode that can go towards more interesting things, so my season starts as if the tribes are already pre-picked by the producers, which I think will make the two premieres have a different feel.

Episode 14B - The Reunion

<The Reunion Show now returns from the commercial break, as the camera shows a view of the large studio audience, and then focuses in on one of the large screen, as a clip of Mikey and Tracy talking from Episode 11 begins to play>

[Tracy - CONFESSIONAL: The Favorites and the younger girls, I mean, they are demolishing each other. <A wide view of Alexis, Mary, and Aras lying together in the shelter is shown> You know, there's conflict, and <pause> if we play our cards right, we should be left standing once all the smoke and ash settles…<The infrared camera now focuses back in on Mikey>

Mikey: I think that somehow you and I are gonna be the Final Two, [inaudible] and we fought on the first day… <laughs> <Another close-up view of Tracy is now shown next>

Tracy: You know what? I absolutely believe that. <The camera then shows Mikey grinning>

Mikey: <to Tracy> Wouldn't that be a riot?! <The infrared camera returns to Tracy again>

Tracy: <to Mikey> That would; <short pause> that would be great… <laughs> <Tracy is then shown again, as the camera continues to focus on her for a few seconds>

Tracy - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I think if we help each other, we can be in the Final Three. <A view of Mikey is shown, as he looks up> The second we turn against each other, we're no better than anyone else… <The infrared camera continues to show Tracy and Mikey>

Mikey: <to Tracy> I have no problem calling a truce with you, <pause> until what? Final Three? <A close-up view of a pensive Tracy is shown, as she subtly nods her head>

Tracy - CONFESSIONAL: You know, I'm never gonna say I feel safe in this tribe, but I can tell you this much: <Tracy pauses, as the camera zooms in on her> there's no way I'm just gonna lay down like a dog and go home. <A clip of Mikey climbing into the shelter with the other Rubak members is shown> I mean, tough times don't last, but tough people do, and <long pause> I can absolutely pull through; <short pause> I did last time…] <The camera shows a clip of both Brooke and Tracy smiling and whispering to each other, and then switches angles to show the applauding audience. The camera scrolls across the cheering fans, and then fades out to show Jeff, who has an anxious look on his face>

Jeff Probst: We're live at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City. <The camera continues to show Jeff, as he talks into the camera> We've just ended one of our most enjoyable seasons of Survivor with a unanimous vote for Tracy Hughes-Wolf: <short pause> 7-0; <Another close-up view of Tracy is shown, as a few loud cheers are heard> first unanimous final vote in the history of Survivor. <Another view of Jeff is now shown next> Let's start by congratulating our winner. <The audience begins to applaud again, as the camera shows a wide view of the castaways clapping on-stage> Nice job! <The camera zooms back in on Tracy>

Tracy: Thanks… <The camera now switches angles to show Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: You know, it's one thing to win Survivor, <The camera now turns back to both Brooke and Tracy> but it's another thing entirely to win from the position you came in at the merge and still take every single vote. <Jeff is then shown, as the applause quiets down>

Jeff Probst: And congratulations also to Brooke, <The camera returns to Brooke next> who, you know, you came up short in the end, but definitely, a game well played, <A wide view of the Final Five Rubak members is shown> and we also have to acknowledge that you officially hold the Survivor record now for the greatest number of days in the game. <Brooke is now shown with a subtle smile on her face, as she nods and says "Yeah"> How does that feel to have made it further in the game than anyone before you? <Brooke is shown>

Brooke: It's definitely a nice title to have since I didn't win the game, <The camera zooms out to show another wide view of the front row of castaways> but I mean, I have no problem taking second place to Tracy; <short pause> she played a great game… <The audience now begins to applaud, as the camera scrolls back over to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Well, the record previously belonged to Danni with, um, 76 days; <short pause> you've now been in the game 77 days, <A loud cheer is heard from the audience, as Jeff continues to speak> which is only one day short of 39 days both seasons. <The camera now scrolls back over to Jeff> I mean, you guys know how hard it is just to make it to 9 days or 21 days, <A rapid clip of both Jason and Ian is shown> so I've gotta say, that's pretty spectacular. <The audience now claps wildly, as the camera focuses back in on the Final Two, and then switches angles to show Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Speaking of records, Tracy, <short pause> you also hold a Survivor record of going through more Tribal Councils than anyone on a single season: <Tracy can be seen nodding her head> 15 Tribal Councils, which really does say a lot about how well you played the game. <The camera now cuts back to Jeff> It's tough to survive that many votes. <The camera continues to show Jeff for a few seconds>

Jeff Probst: One thing I want to ask you about is the relationship with Mikey B, <Tracy is now shown listening intently> because it really seemed like it evolved from a rivalry to a true camaraderie. <Mikey is now shown looking towards Tracy> That was critical for you, right? <A close-up view of Tracy is then shown again>

Tracy: I never disliked Mike. I think we were both headstrong right off the bat, and for some reason, we always ended up together. <Jeff can be heard saying "Mm"> We ended up on the same tribe after the swap; <short pause> we were in the same alliance at the merge, <The camera shows a wide view of the front two rows of castaways> and I knew that we could get to the Final Three if we made an alliance and let everybody else destroy each other. <Aras and Alexis are shown next> And I think we were pretty loyal… <The camera shows Mikey with a strange expression on his face, before going back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <to Tracy> Well, this is something that you might not know: <short pause> Mikey, you said to me earlier that if Tracy hadn't won Immunity at the Final Four… <The camera abruptly cuts back to Mikey again, as he interjects>

Mikey: She would have been gone… <A close-up view of Mary is then shown, as she nods her head dramatically. A surprised Tracy widens her eyes, as a few cries are heard from the audience. Another view of Jeff is then shown next>

Jeff Probst: That would have left us with a Final Three of Mikey B, Mary, and Brooke. <The camera scrolls across the three castaways> Here's what I wanna do: <short pause> first of all, Brooke, imagining that you still won the final challenge, <The camera zooms in on Brooke> who do you take to the Final Two with you? <Brooke can be seen listening intently>

Brooke: I would definitely have taken Mikey with me to the Final Two… <Mikey can be seen smiling, before the camera returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Okay; <short pause> so now, hypothetical, Final Two is Brooke and Mikey B. <A rapid clip of the Final Three Rubak members is shown> Show of hands from the jury, including Tracy, and not including Mikey, <Tracy is then shown next> raise your hand if you vote for Brooke to win. <The camera now switches angles to show the eight jury members for a few seconds, as Eliza can be seen raising her arm into the air. Jeff Probst: Wow! So it still would have been almost unanimous for Mikey, <The camera shows a wide view of the front row of castaways> except for Eliza's vote… <Eliza is shown with a surprised look on her face, before the camera returns to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Mikey B, <long pause> when you see that, does it make falling off in the final Immunity Challenge hurt that much more? <Mikey can be heard saying "Ya think?!"> Because that, essentially, was the difference between you being in the Final Two and getting seven votes or Tracy being in the Final Two… <The camera now switches angles to show Mikey>

Mikey: Yeah; it definitely hurts, you know? <The camera shows a wide view of several castaways looking towards Mikey> Have I thought about it every single night, uh, since then? Of course, but what am I gonna do about it now, you know? <A close-up view of Brooke is then shown next> If you're gonna play this game, you gotta be okay with that or else you'll drive yourself insane thinkin' about everything you could've done… <Another view of Jeff is shown, as he gives a subtle nod of his head>

Jeff Probst: Let me ask you this, Brooke: <short pause> did you think, coming into tonight's vote, that you could win, <The camera now switches angles to show Brooke> or did you expect that Tracy was gonna take it? <Tracy can be seen looking towards Brooke, as the camera continues to show the Final Two Rubak members>

Brooke: No, I pretty much knew. <A rapid clip of Ian is shown> I mean, I feel like I may not have won against anyone in the Final Five, so winning that final Immunity, <The camera zooms out to show the five castaways in the front row again> I felt like I was basically choosing between who I wanted to win the million dollars more… <A thoughtful-looking Jeff now subtly nods his head, as the camera goes back to him>

Jeff Probst: <to Brooke> What do you think went wrong? Why was it so hard for you to get even one vote? <Another close-up view of Brooke is shown next>

Brooke: I just think, you know, I knew I had to play harder this time because I wasn't playing for third, <The camera now shows the Final Three Rubak members> and unfortunately, a lot of people on the jury were bitter and I feel like they weren't gonna vote for me no matter what; um, no matter what words I said… <Jeff subtly nods his head, as the camera returns to him>

Jeff Probst: <to Brooke> Which brings me to my next question, which is: <short pause> why vote off Sherea? <Brooke can now be seen nodding her head knowingly, as she says "Yeah"> Because it seemed like Sherea, out of everyone, wouldn't have voted you out; <The camera now shows a close-up view of Sherea, as she listens intently> you could have taken her to the Final Two and maybe you would have won… <Brooke is then shown again>

Brooke: I think, as I said at the final Tribal, you know, that was definitely my biggest regret in the game was voting out Sherea because, in some ways, she was probably a better ally to have around than Eliza, <The camera shows a rapid view of Eliza, and then scrolls back over to Brooke> but Eliza was my original alliance from Day One and I definitely wanted to stay with her and have her trust me, <Both Ian and Sherea are now shown next> but <long pause> unfortunately I made a mistake. <Sherea can be seen raising her eyebrows> I should have definitely kept Sherea in. <Jeff is now shown with a thoughtful look on his face>

Jeff Probst: Hmm… <The camera then switches angles to show a wide view of the Final Five, before Eliza begins to speak>

Eliza: And I feel kindof bad for Brooke because I voted out all the people that she could have beat in the Final Two, <laughs> <A rapid view of Earl is shown> so I kindof ending up screwing her… <laughs> <Brooke now looks towards Eliza, as indistinct conversation can be heard, and the camera turns back to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Well, that brings up a good point because it seemed like, from very early on in the merge, that a Fan was gonna be more likely to win the game. <The camera now turns to a thoughtful Alexis> I think it would have been hard for you or Eliza or Aras to win against a Fan, and yet, you guys continued to try to take each other out. <The camera goes back to Jeff> I mean, there's no right or wrong way to play the game, <A close-up view of Aras is shown> but it seemed like the Fans did what the Favorites didn't, <The camera then switches angles to show Mikey, Brooke, and Tracy> which was put conflicts aside and <pause> look how it turned out… <There is a brief silence, as the camera focuses back in on Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Okay; <short pause> let's hear from the flipside on this. <The camera continues to show Jeff> Tracy, <Jeff takes a short pause, as the camera goes back to the Final Two Rubak members again> how confident were you, before I read the votes tonight, that you were gonna win? <The camera continues to show both Brooke and Tracy>

Tracy: Well, you know, I didn't want to get my hopes up. <The camera now zooms in on Tracy> Obviously you get blindsided a lot in this game; <laughs> you never know for sure what's gonna happen at the end or how the jury's gonna vote, <A wide view of the middle row of castaways is then shown> so <pause> you don't want to count your chickens before they hatch. <A few claps are heard from the audience, before the camera shows Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: <to Tracy> In your job outside of Survivor, you're a builder… <Tracy can be seen nodding her head, as she says "Mm hmm">

Tracy: Commercial and residential builder… <The camera then cuts back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <to Tracy> Do you think working on a construction site with all different kinds of people from a wide variety of backgrounds gave you an advantage in dealing with situations where people might not always agree? <The camera now switches angles to show Tracy again, as Kathy can be heard saying something inaudible>

Tracy: Absolutely, I think it gave me an advantage. <Kathy is then shown> You know, I work with a huge team of people every day; <short pause> it's very diverse, and they have to rely on me and work together as a team to get the job done, <The camera focuses back in on Tracy> so I have to be able to please different people constantly, and <pause> I think that's one of the strengths I brought to the game… <The audience claps, as the camera scrolls across several Rubak members and then focuses back in on Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <to Tracy> How crucial was it for you to step down as the leader right away? <A rapid clip of Jason is shown, before the camera returns to Tracy>

Tracy: You know what? That was something I kinda regretted the moment after I stepped up. Of course, I did have that knowledge and the expertise of building a shelter, <The camera now scrolls over to Mikey, as he listens intently> but as soon as that project was done, I knew I couldn't stay as the leader or I would have been voted out probably when Chet was. <Chet can now be seen nodding his head> It's just putting an instant target on your back, <A quick view of both Joel and Jason is shown next> so <pause> I knew I had to get out of there, <laughs> and it was definitely critical… <Jeff is now shown>

Mikey - CONFESSIONAL: I was not clapping when the Favorites came out. <A close-up view of a stern-looking Joel is shown next> My first thought was "Damn! Jeff Probst: Welcome back to the Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites live Reunion Show. <A wide view of the twenty castaways is shown> We have all 20 of the folks from Survivor: Micronesia, and we're gonna check in with a few more of them, <The camera now turns to Ian and Sherea> but first, one of the biggest twists of this season was pitting a tribe of Fans against a tribe of previous players, <Both Brooke and Tracy are then shown again> so I want you guys to sound off on this. <The camera goes back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: I'll go to Erik first, <A close-up view of Erik is shown, as he smiles> because I think out of everybody, you were probably the biggest Fan; <short pause> the most excited to play. What does it feel like to be a Fan playing your favorite game? <The camera now returns to Jeff again> You know, what goes through your head when you get that call saying you're gonna be on the show? <The camera switches angles to show another view of both Chet and Erik>

Erik: It's crazy! <laughs> It's just an amazing experience. I mean, there's no words to describe it. <Mary and Mikey are then shown listening intently> Think of being a fan of hockey or NBA and then getting a phone call asking you to play for your favorite team. Jeff Probst: And Kathy, <short pause> how different is it to actually be in the game versus watching it on TV? <The camera now turns to Kathy>

Kathy: I tell ya, you can't even begin to imagine what you go through just by watching. <Tracy is shown, as she subtly nods her head> You think you've experienced pain; <short pause> you think you've experienced starvation and suffering, but I swear to God, there's no way to prepare yourself for it. <laughs> You can't just watch an episode and think "Yeah, okay; let me go," <The camera scrolls over to Mikey> because you need to live through it yourself. <The camera now shows another view of Kathy, before cutting back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Mikey B, <short pause> the guy who'd never been camping, <A few laughs are heard, as the camera shows Mikey smiling> was it what you expected? Not what you expected? <The camera continues to focus on Mikey for a few seconds>

Mikey: No, it was, um, one of the most fun experiences of my life. <Several audience members can be heard clapping> I had an awesome time. You know, made it to third place; <short pause> uh, no complaints there, <Another view of Mikey is shown next> and yeah, like Kathy said, you really have to live through it to know what it's like. <The camera scrolls over to both Sherea and Aras> The experience is about a million times better than you, um, than you expect it to be. <The audience now applauds loudly, as the camera turns back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Joel, <short pause> I want to ask you because I think you and Mikey B were the two goin' "This sucks," <Mikey can be seen smirking> rather than, you know, "I get to meet some people who've been on TV." <Joel is shown listening intently, as he says "Yeah"> How did playing against the Favorites impact the game for you as a new player? <The camera continues to show a close-up view of Joel>

Joel: It was without a doubt a disadvantage. I don't care what anybody says. <laughs> I mean,

you saw the first couple days how dysfunctional we were as Fans, <Mary is shown with a thoughtful look on her face> while the Favorites had shelter and food within hours. <The camera then cuts back to Joel again> They had the experience of doing this before, and <pause> it really worked on your mind out there because you knew there was this other tribe that felt like they were superior. <Aras is then shown looking up, before the camera switches angles to show Alexis>

Alexis: That's how we motivated ourselves before challenges though… <Jeff is then shown>

Jeff Probst: Alexis, you said something before that was interesting to me, <The camera turns to show the front two rows of castaways> because I know there was a sense of being star-struck for some of you; <An excited Kathy now nods her head dramatically> not for everybody, but <pause> I think you had mentioned to me about the Favorites losing some of the allure that they had… <The camera now zooms back in on Alexis again>

Alexis: Yeah; <short pause> I would definitely say that meeting the Favorites took away a little bit of the feeling of them being like rock stars and them having been on TV. <Erik can be seen nodding in agreement> You know, it definitely gives you a different perspective on people, but I mean, I enjoyed meeting them and getting to know them as regular people. <The camera shows a wide view of the twenty castaways and then cuts back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <to Alexis> Anybody from the Favorites that you were glad you beat out? <The camera now shows another view of the middle row of castaways> Cause you made it almost to the end; <short pause> you outlasted a lot of people… <Alexis is shown again>

Alexis: Yeah; just, to make it past some of the players like Dave, and Earl and Ruth Marie, <A rapid clip of the castaways in the far row is shown next> who almost won, it was definitely incredible and <pause> it's an accomplishment for all of the Fans. <The audience can be heard clapping, as the camera shows Kathy smiling and then returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Well, for you, Earl, your past reputation from Fiji had a lot to do with why you were voted out so early. <Earl can now be seen nodding his head knowingly>

Earl: It did… <The camera abruptly cuts back to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: The other thing that happened was we had this Immunity Chain, um, this season, and you went and gave Terry Immunity. <A close-up view of Terry is now shown> Terry, the guy who was gonna be voted out, but you didn't know he was the target, <A smirking Earl continues to nod his head> and next thing you know, the target changes to you. <The camera now shows another view of Jeff> My question to you is: <short pause> if you had known that Terry was gonna be going that night, what would you have done differently? <Earl is shown>

Earl: First of all, I was definitely very blindsided that night, but if I had a clue that Terry was gonna go, I would have given Immunity to Jason because he was gonna be safe, and hopefully I could have still got Mikey and Jason to vote off Ruth Marie after that. <The camera turns to Ruth Marie, and then returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: So in other words, Terry goes and we have a very different game… <A wide view of Earl, Ruth Marie, Ami, and Terry is shown, as the camera focuses in on them>

Earl: A very different game, and that's what makes Survivor so interesting because there's so many different points where the game can change. <The camera now zooms in on Earl, and continues to show him for a few seconds> Just one conversation or one challenge and that can change everything… <laughs> <Another view of Jeff is then shown>
