So she shouts enthusiastically across the newsroom, "Let me know when you need a free pop sometime!" The next day, she arrived to find her desk filled with cans of Diet Coke.

Unless it's Minute Maid, then I just call it "orange." Or that Lipton tea. I call it iced tea. A bunch of people around here call it "Brisk" which cracks me up. It's "Brisk Iced Tea," with BRISK being the adjective to describle the ICED TEA. Heh.

A "soda" has ice cream in it. East Coasters seem to be the 'soda' people; Southerners are the 'coke' people.
