Maybe they don't want to remind the country that Bush might have been able to thwart the attacks altogether had he'd taken enough time from his month-long vacation to digest the implications of the Aug. 6, 2001, intelligence briefing titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike In U.S." Or that Bush diverted troops from the real War on Terror™ to fight a war of revenge and oil in Iraq. Or that the Taliban is resurgent in Afghanistan. Would they have shown the Pennsylvania memorial to Flight 93 if it was well known the person who uttered the words "Let's roll" was gay?
