Posts: 4736 (09/05/08 7:31 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I liked Luke, Bex, Rachel, Mikey (again in these last few weeks), Rex, Lisa, Sara, and Kathreya so I kind of don't get the hate either way for some of them. Yea they have huge faults almost all of them do but I think they were all part of this season. Even if Rachel was a fence sitter that was a big part of the show and it was a big part of people calling her Disney and making a big deal out of her being "boring." And all VT's lie, Rachel still seemed like her bubbly self maybe not as much as she was on day 1 and on her VT but I can see her in that. If BB didn't want Rachel to win then they shouldn't have showed her so much in the last five weeks like they did.

Davina definitely seemed disappointed, however I would hardly call it bullying. And no offense but why does everyone run to ofcom when they get offended. Honestly, I bet the FCC would love it if they got that many complains over stupid stuff like that. I don't agree with some of Davina's favorites and how she orgasms over boring contestants, but she is an amazing host.

Posts: 5961 (09/05/08 8:17 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I just finished watching the finale, just a few random thoughts before I go into my Davina rant - What happened to Darnell's eye? - The "I Will Always Love You" scene was great, absolutely loved it all - Loved Sara dragging Mikey into the chair - Loved Rachel leaving with Mikey's piss cup Ok onto Davina, I have absolutely loved Davina for 9 seasons now, but the way she acted tonight absolutely DISGUSTED me. First off, I couldnt get over the way she way she was treating Sara. Her whole interview was her setting up Sara to look like a fool, from watching in the house we all know she doesnt fancy Darnell, and she kept trying to force Sara over and over to say that she did. Sara was clearly uncomfortable and kept saying "I'm so confused." That really pissed me off. Secondly, the interview Mikey got was laughable. They were clearly treating him as the winner, they showed a package of Rex dissing people and a package of Mikey dissing people and Rex is a mean guy winding people up, while Mikey is standing up to the bullies. I dont think I've ever rolled my eyes so much in my life. I dont think I even need to go into why her interview with Rachel was so bad, if she could actually conduct a serious interview after Pete and Brian Belo somehow won and treat them like real winners, she could have at least let Rachel have her moment. This is a once in a lifetime thing for Rachel and Davina sat there and rained on her parade, it was ridiculous. Davina really let me down tonight. As for the season as a whole, its definitely my favorite season since BB6. Had a good solid cast, with a lot of great moments, I didnt lose a single person I liked until Lisa left at day 85 and my two favorites came in 3rd and 4th place. Plus Mikey didnt win! :) Congrats to Rachel, it was a great season.

Great conclusion to the show. I am supremely happy. Darnell got booted out first and someone who isn't Darnell won it. Perrrrfect. Rachel deserved it and is a sincerely nice girl. I can absolutely understand why Kat got so many boos. Compared to Rachel, Kat was an obnoxious wind-up toy, a caricature of what niceness really is. Rachel is the real deal and I'm happy she won. Anyway, GODDESSSARAFOLINOLOVE <3<3<3<3. Oh and REXNEWMARKLUST <3<3<3<3.

Its so rare that we get a character of that caliber, who is so controversial in the house who can actually make it all the way to the end. Rex is definitely one of the top 10 characters ever on the show. Oh and for Miki, B-BLOCKOWNAGE won out!!!! :)

Probably the third worst after BB4 and BB8 but that was mostly due to the HMs. I think the producers did better this year with the exception of throwing in the new HMs who added nothing to the house and kicking out Dennis. They started with way too many people. Davina's comments were right on the mark. No one will even remember Rachel's boring ass next year, especially all the lemmings who fell for her fake VT act that she brought back for the last two weeks so she could win. Perhaps one of the worst HMs ever. I would compare it to Shell winning BB5. Luke and Bex were the show. Once they were gone, it was almost unwatchable. Big Red Ecks I refuse to read this thread cause I want to avoid Reggie's gloating at any costs. But I think it was pretty clear that Rachel won not due to her own merit but due to the fact that there were so many Mikey haters. That hour break killed him, if they finished it right then he would have won. But alas that's the way the cookie crumbles. Davina knows the true winner, and the crowd knew the true winner, Mikey stole the show and was a complete class act in defeat. Hopefully now people can get past the whole disgusting blind guy thing and realize he's one of the best housemates of all time. I have nothing against Rachel, but her being the winner is a joke. She'd be great for 2nd place....but she didn't do nearly enough to be crowned the best. You can all continue your party now.

Actually, I'm still in shock that my favourite actually won, it's never happened to me before. What a strange yet awesome occurrence. I saw a bit of Davina's interview with Rachel, it was so pathetic. Rachel could barely say a word without being interrupted. I might take a valium before I watch the finale in full.

Posts: 333 (09/05/08 9:05 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	ok i just want to preface this by letting you all know that i was as big a whisper club lover as any and that i really liked bex, jen and dale, i really didn't like the b-block all throughout the show. but everyone's disgusting treatment of rachel has really turned me off all of them as well as davina. i have thought davina was a terrible host for a while now. she is clearly biased and presents her opinions as fact. in many interviews in this season i have seen her be cunty and say shit like "oh that was the turning point for you, you went downhill there, you shouldn't have done that, etc" and then move on before the evictee had a chance to respond. she clearly tries to plant notions about what happened in the game in viewer's heads and pretty much makes up history to suit whatever agenda the show is pushing. i know you all love her and think it's great to have such an animated host as opposed to chenbot, but she has become nothing but another tool of production. ok moving on from that twat... i was never a huge fan of rachel, i always thought "oh well at least she's nice whatever" but after everything that's happened i can now say 100% that there could have been no better winner (apart from maybe sara) and she is ABSOLUTELY the best winner in BB history. yes rachel was a fence-sitter. she was mature enough to realise that hurting people's feelings isn't worth airing every single one of one's opinions to get attention. she is one of the very few reality tv contestants ever to not be a completely selfish scumbag. she is a nice, normal person who just wanted to have fun and try to have a positive influence on the people she was living with's lives. and to all the people who compare her to steph from BB4 and shell.......no. she was FAR less fake and dud-like than they were in their seasons. and they never got the shit she did. when shell got a tiny bit of shit from the rex of her season, she acted like kathreya and broke down in floods of "give me sympathy" te.ars. rachel smiled and had the maturity to think of rex's feelings, even though he was being an asshole to her. you can call her a pushover but i just think she's selfless and emotionally secure. i know we all usually hate the nice, normal people on reality tv. it's not entertaining or whatever. but if you think about it, this genre we love so well is pretty sick and shitty. it's dedicated to the bad parts of human nature. and i think it's fucking awesome that rachel prevailed despite the natural limitations of the genre and some of the most obvious producer bias EVER. fucking well done on her for beating the system. rachel deserved something nice like winning this happening to her, she has done so much for everyone else. giant FUCK YOU to everyone who rained on her parade. but in the end they still end up looking like assholes. just smile and let them hang themselves <3 edit: lulz i forgot te.ars is filtered here. i guess i don't use it a lot Last Edited By: numb 09/05/08 9:08 PM. What a strange yet awesome occurrence. I know. It's so effin' rare for me too. It's happened once before on BB UK, twice on BB AU, and like...once out of all 16 seasons of Survivor lol. But, if you don't like nastiness, you should look for BB AU 3. One of the most heartwarming series ever.

The fact that Lisa, Rex, Darnell, Kat, even Greedy Mo made it to the end made it perfectly fine for a Rachel to win the series. I'd not like to have 14 Rachel's, but one was just perfect. And the fact that someone as truly nice as she is, to have people try to ruin her night makes me sad. If people dont like the way Davina treated Rachel on the finale, definitely dont watch Big Mouth. I couldnt believe she really asked her about the splitting money, I loved that Rex was shaking his head no. I really, really, really hope Davina gets repremanded after tonight. She was awful to Rachel & Sara, worse than I've ever seen a host treat a winner (even worse than Probst to that douche bag Chris in Vanuatu). I'd not even be sad if they replaced Davina, for a long time fan thats hard for me to say but she really lost me tonight.

Yay for Rachel, I'm so happy that people like Luke, Mario and Dale will be absolutely furious over this for years to come.
