50. Kricketune (Bug) Sometimes, it's hard to remember why exactly I ranked certain Pokemon as high as I did, but it's too late in the list to go back and put them lower. Kricketune is one of those Pokemon. He's asy enough to get, assuming you have the patience to evolve a Kricketot. And he's funny looking with his old school movie villain moustache. Just imagine Kricketune tying Misty to a railroad track and that's enough for top fifty, I guess.
49. Gliscor (Flying/Ground) This one probably should be Dark more than Ground, but it's another new evolution, so they've gotta stick with what was already made I guess. Gliscor is a vampire, which is cool in and of itself, and even though I dislike many of the new evolutions, it's a definite improvement on Gligar.
48. Mothim (Bug/Flying) Attack of the clones, definitely. We had Venomoth in RBY, then they cloned him with Dustox in RSE, and now we have Mothim in DP. I mainly rank Mothim this high because of just how crappy Burmy and Wormadam are that Mothim is such a major improvement in their evolutionary line. And even for a male-only Pokemon, it's kinda cute.
47. Mime Jr. (Psychic) I love Mr. Mime, and though I despise baby Pokemon, I have to say that this thing is extremely cute. It also helps that it belongs to James, who is one of the best characters in the anime due to his effeminate, bumbling, doofusishness. Mime Jr. also had a pretty kickass ability, if I recall, that made it so he couldn't receive extra damage from attacks strong against him. Pretty good for a baby.
46. Staravia (Flying/Normal) This thing is not its big brother. It's the middle child in its evolutionary chain and deserves to be beaten for how pointless it is. They really need to put more effort into making middle forms into more than just genetically defective freaks of nature. 45. Torterra (Grass/Ground) I never cared for the Turtwig line, not one bit. It's easily the worst trio of Grass starters yet, and they've been going downhill since Bulbasaur owned RBY. It just feels so impersonal to have a Grass turtle. Fire is the cute animal, Water is the cute Water animal, and Grass is the cute plant. Torterra is just two hundred or so pounds of ugly.
44. Drifloon (Ghost/Flying) Despite me not liking the inclusion of too many new Ghost-types, I love the concept behind Drifloon and the fact that it contributed to Flying getting paired with almost every other typing in the game. It's a cute little balloon, found only on Fridays. I don't know much else about it, but it's a cute Ghost.
43. Vespiquen (Bug/Flying) A queen bee that's nowhere near as attractive as Ami Cusack, getting vespiquen is just an irritating process because first you've gotta spread honey on trees. Then you have to remember to chec said trees for Pokemon. Then you need to find a Combee. Then that Combee has to be female. Then you have to level a Pokemon thats only attack is Gust to level 20. It's a lot of effort, but Vespiquen is apparently worth it to the competitive battling community.
42. Palkia (Dragon/Water) I've said it all before. I don't like the influx of legendaries in this game, and I don't like the amount of new Dragons added to this game, so Palkia has two strikes against it. Add to that the fact that Palkia is Pearl exclusive, and thus, I don't give a shit about it. Plus, its head looks like a dick.
41. Porygon-Z (Normal) At least the name is more original than Porygon 2. The main reason for the low ranking of Z is because it requires two difficult methods of evolution in order to obtain one. First you need to trade evolve Porygon into Porygon 2. Then you need to do some other random shit to get Porygon-Z. Still, it's a powerful Pokemon that's pretty solid in battle. |

AMBERFREAK wrote:Switch in Infernape* yw! * I don't even like Infernape, but the lack of decent Fire types pretty much makes it a necessity, much like RSE. Which sucks, much like RSE, because I found the Water starter to be a hell of a lot better (Empoleownage!). |

Aww Drifloon. It's hard to get but you know it's pretty damn good in combat.
VESPIQUEN <33333333 Best.Bug.Queen.Ever. Turtwig line > Bulbasaur line. No.questions.asked. Torterra is basically the only useful Grass type in DP. I was never impressed with Roserade. |

I think Grass/Ground was a terrible typing for Torterra. Sure it gains immunity to a type it's already strong against (Electric) but it gets even more owned by Flying types, and loses it's resistance to Water and Grass |
