I need married men's perspective |
Lead | |
|
This afternoon for no apparent reason hubby pulled my car into the grass and set about washing it. I did not tell him or say "Gee, my car is dirty"
and look at him like I wanted him to do something about it, or make any mention about the car whatsoever. My question is this: What motivates a man to do nice
things for his wife out of the blue? Dos this have anything to do with me or his feelings for me? or did he look out the window and think "That car is
dirty--since she isn't doing anything about it--I will". I have been married for over ten years and I center my life around my families needs, but
seldom do I receive any helpful or nice things done for my sake without doing them for myself. I thought I would have this stuff figured out by now but
obviously I don't. Any insight?

"That car is dirty--since she isn't doing anything about it--I will".
Don't get all he loves me, over you being a slob and his over looking it for 10 years! |

It has nothing to do with you or his feelings toward you. It's about the car.
He was in the mood to wash a car. Yours needed it more than his did. |

The same reason you would make a nice dinner or clean the bathroom or vacuum.

He was being efficient. Wash car, and water the lawn as well.

It has nothing to do with you or his feelings toward you. It's about the car. X The fact that you think he was doing something nice for you is a bonus |

He realized his mistresses perfume was all over him, and he was using the soap, fresh air and wax to mask the odor before you noticed.
Or he lost the college and retirement funds in a Texas Hold 'em game gone bad. |

Did he have his shirt off? He was probably putting on a show for the neighbourhood fraus.

Your husband loves you. Be sure to show (not tell) him that you love him.

Yeah, my first thought is he's cheating on you and this is the way he deals with the guilt.

Had it been my husband, I'd say he thought the car needed about a thousand streaks on it, and some dirty water circles on the doors.
His heart is in the right place, but the man can't wash a car to save his life. I blame his eyesight. Within the next few years, I assume he'll just be issued a seeing eye pooch. |
