He gains more keeping Dan in the house than getting rid of him, at least I think so. I guess he might feel he'd win the jury over if he got rid of Dan, who knows. Some of them, like Michelle, may still be too mad at him to vote for him. He would if no one else was around. Not if he was upset about the events of the day.

From what I've read here it seems like based on conversations today, Dan should be suspicious of Memphis having a deal with Jerry but was it so obvious that he'd think it was a lost cause or did Memphis outright say he wouldnt use the Veto if he won it?

Memphis strongly suggested he wouldn't veto Dan.
