I agree with the other comments that, as a finale, the episode wasn't particularly special. But I kinda like that. I think many finales try to throw in
twists or reveals that don't make sense, just to make them 'sensational'. I think we got some good beginnings and ends of storylines:
Rusty and Calvin will be pals again;
Evan and Frannie will become a couple -- and an Axis of Evil;
Ashleigh finally gets a BF;
Rebecca will have to learn to be a 'regular girl' now that Daddy's off to prison;
A clear romantic triangle between Cappie/Casey/Rebecca.
I was wondering how a show like this would deal with the fact that the show should be over in 2 seasons when half the cast graduates. Doing three (short) seasons to cover each college year sounds fine to me.
All in all, I'm still a big fan. I think a lot of us had increased expectations for S2. S1 came out of nowhere -- I expected it to be a silly show, but it turned out to be wonderful. I think S2 will be equally good in retrospect. I can see myself 5 years from now sitting down and watching the whole series on DVD.
