Bill Clinton's speech was the best, of course, but that's his forte. I thought it was a nice touch that Obama appeared live after Biden's speech, addressed the crowd briefly, and explained why they were moving to a different site tomorrow, at the open-air Denver Broncos football stadium, Invesco Field. But if Republicans want to go all the way back to 1988 to rehash Joe Biden's gaffe to use against him, then I'm sure they would have no objections to Democrats hopping in the Way Back Machine to re-visit the Keating Five scandal.

He often pointed out that during his whopping three months of service that the only things he slaughtered were flies and he only lost blood to the mosquitoes as he saw no combat in the "war". The reason Lincoln went back home was his horse was stolen. The question was whether or not he had any military experience "whatsoever," not whether or not his military service meets your standards in order to count.

Romney came out earlier today in defense of McCain for forgetting he owns seven houses. Now, common sense would dictate that this issue is a loser for McCain, and they need to change the subject. But what did Romney do? The stupid fool said that McCain EARNED his seven houses, while Obama got his one house on a special deal. Yeah. Those seven houses that Cindy bought with the money she inherited. McCain EARNED them by fucking his sugarmama. Way to go, Mittens! What a valuable addition you'll make to the Republican ticket. For the Democrats, that is.

Greg, did you hear about the kerfluffle over Lieberman and Rove today? The Prince of Darkness came out of cancer or retirement or whatever it is to make some big pronouncement of a scoop (presumably that he was fed by Rove) that claimed at the urging of GOP officials that Lieberman had gone to McCain to ask to be taken out of consideration because it would be bad for his campaign, and now the Lieberman people are firing back saying Rove tried to get him to do that but he wouldn't. I hope hope hope McCain does nominate Lieberman just so I can see the agents of intolerance in full freak out mode. Oh and because Lieberman sucks.

The democrats shouldn't use the 7 houses thing to take cheap shots at people who can afford 7 houses the real point they should be trying to make is that someone who doesn't even pay attention to their own finances like McCain as President will likely have others around him deal with domestic spending issues.
