So basically I want to pick three games where I think the underdog will win?

Exactly!!
You've got to balance points rewards too, though. I'll probably go with a bunch of middle-risk picks a good bit of the time. |

Sounds good. The most important games are probably in the first few weeks when the Las Vegas lines are all wonky....

I'm kinda confused but I think I get it... P.S. - to whoever had the Yahoo Pick 'Em thing I filled out my first week picks already.

AtM, fueled by crack and Red Bull, creates a game sooooooo confusing that the chances of UC winning it are thisclose to nil. I'll be playing though.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....there is still time to sign up for the other, more traditional Pick'em game I have set up at Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. It is Top 25, pick the winners (no spread) and rank with confidence points. All you need to play is a Yahoo! ID. Deadline for signup is before the first games are played on Saturday, August 30. I'm gonna post a few videos over the next few days, looking back to last year before the 2008 season kicks off. There were definitely some plays during the 2007 season that are worth remembering!! - Two views, from different angles, of "the Miracle in Mississippi"!! |

One week from today the Washington Huskies begin their return to National Prominence.

Sea, if by that you mean that it's the beginning of their return to such because it'll be the last season for Tyrone... I'll agree with ya.
This is a horrible year for me as a fan of the Dawgs - on the one hand, I of COURSE want 'em to win... but on the other hand, if they win in bunches, Willingham might get to keep his job. For the overall good of the program, as tough as it is to say this - I'm wanting them to not do so hot this year, so that Tyrone'll get the boot which he should've gotten LAST year. If they can beat the Ducks at Autzen, mebbe I'll change my mind. |

College Teams I Root For (Football)
Ohio State - I've completely adopted them as my obligatory Big 10/Midwest school to root for. My best friend is from Columbus and got me hooked on a love of all things Buckeye several years ago and I've been a fan ever since. Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Mississippi - I spent 8 years of my formative youth living in the Magnolia State and got hooked on college football early on. They're just as crazy about football in Mississippi as they are in Texas or Florida, they're just not as good at it. Or were not, as they've become a little better since I moved away...2 of the 3 schools seem to get bowl bids in any given year. In the Egg Bowl I usually root for MSU. Iowa State - Both my parents went to college here. In fact I was born here. My rooting interest in the Cyclones extends about as far as checking their score every Sunday in the paper and hoping they beat Iowa. Purdue - See Iowa State. My dad's first teaching job was here. Only want them to lose when playing Ohio State. |

(I've had Lubbock, Texas in my rearview mirror for quite a few years now.) Anyway, SI has the Raiders in 8th place preseason. On the Raiders' page, they talk about being 10-0 and traveling to Norman. ::shivers:: |

The one and only college football team I religiously keep up with is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Can't wait for the
season to start!
