I never thought Bambi was that sad at all actually. Bambi and the mom were too boring to care I suppose. Being dead didn't make her interesting, yada yada yada However, this scene in Dumbo was simply DEVASTATING:

I only watched The Fox and the Hound once as a child, and it emotionally crippled me. I still don't know if I could watch it now without reverting back
