I think that by the time the White Album came out, I was heading in another direction musically towards the blues and psych music, then later into punk, so I
didn't really get into it. I was always more of A Rolling Stones fan anyway.

guppie would have blocked me anyway, although it appears we have similar taste.
But I ran to get it, and damn it, here it is.

I saw! I knew I had repeats. I forgot Abbey Road and Rumours.

The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions with Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Duane Allman, Charlie Watts, Bill WYman and Ian Stewart was good from start to finish
and still holds up today

The first two Crowded House albums had a purity of sound and purpose that I really liked. Woodface with Tim Finn sounded more like a Split Enz album, not that
it's a bad thing. Together Alone had a few good songs, but started to get a bit too precious and contrived.

ooo, I saw him in concert back in the early 70s - 3rd row seats - he was fantastic and quite a hunk

I wouldn't put any of their albums on this list, actually--most of their songs could be described as "filler" imo. Please don't lynch me. <3 |

The first album that immediately came to mind was Rumours...
Alan Parson Project's Ammonia Avenue Ben Folds' Rockin the Suburbs Billy Joel's The Stranger and Nylon Curtain The Cars' self-titled Abbey Road I originally had Revolver on here, but Yellow Submarine caused me to take it off. I loathe that song. |
