Wow, just wow.
8 for 8. This is the most gripping Olympics swim sequence since, well, 1972. |

Congrats to Mr. Phelps. Definitely makes me proud to be an American. In the current swimming world, only a swimmer from America could have such talented
teammates that he could hope to win three team relays.

You are more than welcome Fafu!
I can't wait til you get to watch it, you'll just be amazed. And how ironic that my 8000th post was about his winning the 8th? |

did it seem to anyone else that the jamaican was just fucking around at the end?
and he still broke the world record? heh. |

He was absolutely screwing around at the end! I read an interview where he said that he wasn't trying to break the world record because he already had it-
he just wanted the gold. Once he realized he had it won- easily, he just kicked back. Sick bastard got the world record anyway... and didn't seem to
care! He looked around & coasted in. Can you imagine if he kicked it hard all the way to the finish? Sheesh.
Oh well. Meanwhile, I nearly missed Phelps due to good dental hygeine! Yikes. I realized it was coming on & had to hurry up & watch. Great great race! I used to love the track & field stuff but now, I get bored with the showboating. Oh well. |

no! that shit was cool.
if dude would have finished that race running backwards i would have found that most funny. we call that "scoreboard." all he had to do was win the gold medal. he did. these dudes run a billion races when it is not an olympic year. sponsorships, money, livelihood. its what they do its how they live. i totally get him saving an even better world record for the next sponsored race... |

Woot! I'm so happy for Phelps. But I love me some Jason Lezak--the guy brought those medals home! I was almost more excited to see him swim this race.
Anchor leg love.
And can I also give Dara Torres some love? Wow, just wow, at 41. Effing impressive. And love for Coughlin, too.
