It was unbalanced because you had James, Aaron, and Jean-Robert, the three biggest guys in the game, all on the same tribe, in a season with several wrestling
challenges.

Zhan Hu had the strongest women, unfortunately Ashley got sick or whatever and they had to vote her off second.

Lets have fun comparing:
- Morgan's 5 was good enough to beat Drake so they should have clobbered CG's 5. -On paper, Ulong was a strong tribe, They had no direction and there was Tom to beat them. Ulong certainly had more speed and strength than CG. - Original Yaxha won the first immunity challenge and did well in the hike. Try picturing Jan doing an 11 mile jungle hike.

Not a loner, I just spend much of my time in solitude. They didn't "hate" Johm, they were just annoyed with him. Helen and Ted hated Clay. but there is strong evidence that they got along with him at some point. Really, Chuey Ghan looked like they had a closer bond then many tribes. |

Morgan WAS really weak. I mean, they just didn't work well as a tribe. Just look at the fiasco they caused in the village in episode 1. Had Drake not
thrown the fourth immunity challenge, I think we would've seen at least a 7-3 split between Drake and Morgan at the merge.

You don't know that. A confidence boost isn't enough. The final 5 of Morgan(not counting Lill) are a very cohesive and close group, and worked well
together after the dead weight was thrown out. I think they were a competent enough tribe to win even if Rupert hadn't joined them.

Here's what I think would've happened had the team not thrown the challenge:

panurge46 wrote: You do remember that Chuay Ghan had the first challenge locked up with a huge lead until Ghandia blew it worse than Jamie/Courtney did respectively? They worked much better together, and I'd even say that minus Clay, they were better swimmers than Sook Jai. Sometimes teamwork outweighs physical strength. Also, Ted and Brian both played football while Helen was in the freaking Navy. Jan was no slouch either just because she was old, not sure why she couldn't do the hike when Jim was able to. Ghandia was an idiot, but physically, she was stronger than any girl on the other tribe minus Steph, and Clay, even though he was weak as hell, showed brians when he kicked Ken's ass.Not going to get into all of them, but for PI since others are talking about it, Morgan was able to beat Drake because they self destructed just like Sook Jai did. You can't use that same argument for why CG's weak, yet not look back on why Morgan went to the merge even in numbers. |

Kitty Pryde1 wrote: Thats fair speculation, but I think Burtons mind was set. Supposing Rupert competed in the challenge, we don't know if he would win or not, certainly against Darrah or Tijuana, but I'm sure about the men. They seem to be agile enough to take him. I think Morgan cut the fat from their tribe in Nicole,Ryan and Lill and became a cohesive whole that was strong enough to rival Drake. If they lost the 4th immunity challenge, I'm not so sure if Osten wuld quit. I think he quit when the Outcasts came because it was seen as such an unfair twist at that point(I put up a tantrum over it), and he was there for 18 days at tha tpoint(his health, remember?). I on't think we;ll ever know if he quit at a 4 time morgan loss. |

KP, you're missing the point. I wrote that CG was the weakest on paper. Morgan turned out to be a poor tribe but they looked solid at the start. Of
course, it can be interesting to have a team that looks weak on paper turn out to upset the bigger team like Koror over Ulong and Aitu holding their own over
Raro. One could even say that Tagi was the weaker tribe at the start. Those weaker teams showed us something to overcome their handicap:
- Koror rallied behind Tom. - Ozzy, Cao Boi, Flica and Candice surprised us to beat Raro in some interesting challenges. - Savage used Fairplay's arrogance to will his team to a comeback. - Tagi worked well together, especially in the military obstacle course. With Chuay Ghan, we had nothing of the sort. They were pathetic for the first 4 episodes and then Sook Jay collapsed. That's it, that's all. There wasn't a single outstanding challenge performance by CG. The only one that came close was Ted in the attack zone but that challenge was decided by SJ losing their senses. Thailand was the season with the poorest level of competition, both in challenges and in strategy. Survivor is a competition. Thailand was the worst Survivor season from a competition point of view. Survivor is also entertainment and Thailand was the only season where the players didn't even look like they wanted to be there or enjoy the adventure. That made them boring to watch. |

That is not true. Maybe I'm just on a totally different wavelength then Panurge, but this is SUrvivor, you're supposed to struggle. For people who suffered a lot, they seemed to enjoy it. Whats with me,lol. I'm one of two people who don't just tolerate Thailand, but activly enjoy it. |

I'm actually watching Thailand right now, it isn't as awful at all as people make it out to be. In fact as of right now I like it a lot better then
Cook Islands, Fiji, and Palau. It will probably inch over Vanuatu before I'm finished. Actually come to think of it I would probably rank them equal as of
right now. Thailand had some good moments, the pre-merge is great. I forgot about how much of a bitch Stephanie was after they voted off Jed. My hate toward
Robb is coming back and I understood the Ghandia/Ted grindgate episode much better then I did as a 15 year old.
I actually like Chuay Gahn a lot more this time then I did last time. For some reason I still root for Sook Jai, maybe because I think Chuay Gahn had a lot of problems and I didn't like people like Clay and Ghandia as much as I liked Jake, Penny, Shii Ann, and Ken. I don't buy the argument though ThailandSurvivor that Jan was not weak and that Ghandia was stronger then the girls on Sook Jai. Those two could hardly carry the "new tribemate" during the hike around the island task...and this was after their 24 hours with the red berets and they should have obviously been eating better then Sook Jai at the time. |

Thailand would have been better if Brian had all the crazys on his team: Robb, Shii Ann, Jed, Stephanie, to go along with Ghandia, John, and Jan. Lets see
how he would have handled that.
