They said it was boring. They didn't get it. Hopefully, if you are posting here, you are older than they were when they saw it.

Almost all of the older films in this thread are dopey youth oriented" kiddiot" films of the 70's and 80's.
Will we next see a thread bitching about young people not appreciating classic tv while stating how well written The Brady Bunch and Different Strokes are.

Anything with a racial theme or a sexual theme from before about 1975-1980 is going to be impossible for this generation to understand.
Even the airplane line colbster quoted. It's impossible for someone today to GET how uncomfortable that was. Not just that it was a little girl saying it. But she was a little blonde girl talking about a BLACK MAN! And the sex stuff that was shocking to us is like...g rated now. Also, technology has changed everything so much. With GPS's telling hammy's dick where the grand canyon is, I bet Norman Bates (aka Jethro) gets NO visitors these days. |

I'm 26, and I get everything with the exception of the original Wicker Man.

You THINK you get it, but you really do not get it. It's impossible for you to get.
It's ok. I had a dog once who thought he was people. You'd have liked him. |
