What I'm liking about Dan isn't so much that he's a nice guy who hasn't displayed any really unlikable behavior in the house. A lot of that probably has to do with wanting to keep his job secure but still, it's definitely working for him in terms of how viewers see him.

It's more that he seems to know what he's doing. The way he handled Julie's questions last night during the live show seemed totally genuine. Brushing off Jerry's comments as if they really don't matter, making a couple of light-hearted jokes about his own religion (which you can tell he takes seriously but at the same time, can have a sense of humor about) and then casually saying he forgives Jerry. No disrespect. No fast-talking overly flattering remarks in an attempt to kiss up to the other HGs and no pompous holier than thou attitude. That's pretty impressive and as a bonus, he made Jerry look like the lesser man (not that most of us thought otherwise but its possible Jerry realized how he was coming off after Dan's comment). He keeps his head and despite what some HGs think (Jerry), it really does always seem to be in the game.

The problem is with the exception of MAYBE memphis, it doesnt seem like he has anyone in the house that would go out of their way to keep him around. And I'm not sure anyone's going to want to go to the end with him because despite the fact that no one trusts him, all of them except for Jerry seem to think he's an ok guy. The only thing that could work to his favor is if some of them really do think he's AP and they take him to the end in the hopes that the jury wont want to award the potential AP with the grand prize if they already think he's getting $50k.
