Justin "Superman" Spring will be on. I still can't get over his dismount in the team comp. His "execution" (chinese joke) was flawless.
I don't think any gymnast has ever flown that far.

Are there any Summer Sports that Canadians are naturally good at? A lot of smaller countries choose to spend big money on one or two events to develop
competitors there (for example, African Nations and Long Distance running, Korean countries and Martial Arts events and Boxing, etc.) .
I'm surprised that no one from Canada has gone: "Hey, let's become the best country at Archery, ever!" and started to develop archers or something... |

You would think with the whole global warming thing Canada might consider branching out from hockey a bit.

They are really good in martial arts, of course, but they have other talents(swimming, archery, other crap). ETA: Beach Volleyball is okay, but it's soooo boring because of rally scoring and everyone FAILS at digging.

I like it better with the rally scoring. At least one match doesn't last 3 fucking hours now.
They need to do something about the ballchin on that thing.

I wish the Mexicans got Silver. That would've been hilarious to go from comic-relief last place to 2nd. But Bronze is still cool.
Gay po-, I mean Greco-Roman Wrestling men's qualifiers are playing online right now. |

Why do the Mexican girls keep saying "up, Ariba." It's the same thing right?
Thanks to you eastcoasters for your updates. It allows me, 1 hour behind you, to know when to watch the good stuff. BTW, the lady just said "tidal wave" but it didn't look like a tidal wave. That will come later in men's swimming. ;) |
