And there's no way Eric would have been there from the week before- they were all set to send him packing - SeaHags fight sealed the deal- until the DR had a little talk with Dustin. So Eric stayed because he was America's Player from the prior week- so Dick may not have even been on the block.

Eric getting saved helped Dick, you have to see that. Assuming Eric had been evicted Week 5, Dustin/Amber/Jameka/Jessica were planning on going after The Donatos shortly after. Dick would have been one of the first two-three people on the jury if not for Eric being saved in Week 5. So if your a Dick fan, you should be THRILLED that the DR saved Eric Week 5. I don't even hate Dick, I just hate that the cards were so heavily stacked in his favor. The season wasn't rigged for him & Dani, and they did make some good moves and win some big comps, but there's no way he would have gotten to the end without AP. I'm not used to that happening on BB, although they did have the profanity with James last season. I can't remember if there was any complaint about that or not. A few years ago it seemed like even mouthing "oh my heck" would get a fine from the FCC.

He won because of AP, if you can't see that then I don't know what to tell you. i really wish we could just stop with the speculation because the fact is, that season was an anomaly and dick DID win. however it happened, he did. and we can say all night long he wouldn't have won without AP, but we can never know that because that's not how it fucking happened. there's no way to prove one way or the other and there never will be. i love dick. i just hate him on HC. sometimes he says things and i think 'WHAT??? that makes no sense' but nobody ever challenges him. i liked dick a lot better in the game than i have SINCE the game so i just stopped watching HC when he's on.

I agree that it really is all speculation, but I'm convinced that he would never have gotten to the end without AP. The season would have been far different without AP, but Dick would have been the same abrasive jackass. That wouldn't have changed, and I just can't imagine they would have let him get near the end. But in the end, you are completely right, it is all speculation. I liked Dick during the season (well, for most of the season at least), but since then I can't stand him a bit. He's still hanging onto his 15 minutes, his blogs are borderline pathetic and he's terrible on HC. Honestly, the only person who knows what they're talking about on HC is Dani. I don't like her, but she knows the game better then most previous HG's.
