if mark was the mole, that would really suck that he took the dossier...the mole needs to just give the players a break on the last mission and let them have
some money...its tradition and its the right thing to do...that's why Craig was walking so slow, I liked him again after this episode

Typically, the mole helps the players win the final task (Kathryn in Three Rooms, Bill rejecting the dossier in Top Secret, Frederique in It Takes a Thief, and
Angie with that picture game). I think Mark initially planned on helping them win the final mission, BUT I think Mark needed to keep the $75,000 out of the pot
because he tried to sabotage the clock-bomb game, but Craig ended up cutting the purple wire instead of blue+red, so Mark had to go for the dossier.

Going for the Dossier is a great Player move. Without it, you have a 50/50 chance of winning $495,000. With it, you have a better than 50/50 chance of
winning $420,000. How much better? Well, to use game theory and calculate the value of each choice:
50% * $495,000 = $247,500 58.9% * $420,000 = $247,500 Essentially, you had to just hope the Dossier would give you a 59% chance of winning (or better), instead of a 50% chance of winning, for it to be the right choice. |

Well, just like an above poster pointed out, he may have been trying to get them to cut both the blue and red wire (but I don't recall right now if he was
really trying to push this option).
I also think that the treadmill challenge was a situation in which it would be difficult to sabotage without being obvious. No one would believe that he needed to stop running, because he's such a strong runner. I'm still convinced that Craig and Nicole were deliberately answering the questions wrong, or taking too much time on easy ones in order to see if Mark would step in and answer. If he didn't step in then it was confirmation in their eyes that he was the Mole. |

IIRC, he wasn't hardcore pushing the "cutting both wires idea", he just wanted to take time to consider if red+blue meant purple or both. Which
could mean he was the mole, or it could mean he didn't want them to cut the wrong one.
I was referring more to the "several instances where he tried to sabotage but failed". And personally, I'm not sure it would have been so obvious if Mark didn't run the whole time. It's not like they all saw him running 10 miles a day or he only had to do it for 10 minutes or something. Or he could have just run and not answered most of the questions for them. Obviously, nobody can say for sure what has and hasn't been done to try and sabotage, because we don't know for sure yet who the mole is. I was just curious (and not in a bitchy way) when Kitty thought he was trying to saotage but failed, because I couldn't remember any off the top of my head. |
