Jonathan Shearer - Castaway 2007




I really wish Youtube didn't delete my account, cause you really have to see Jonathan's VT before the show started to truly understand him. Castaway was Survivor mixed with Big Brother. They lived on the island and the UK voted people out. It was that simple. But the cast was totally OTT, an no one moreso than Jonathan. As he explained in his inital interview, he hated people, he lived as a hermit out in the countryside of Glasgow as to not have to deal with them. However he was putting himself on a show where hed have to live in close proximity with people for months. And as was to be expected, he got into fights with basically everybody. He was nominated to leave every single week, but never did because he was the most entertaining one on the show, so the public kept him. At one point, the whole group banished him out of their hut and he was left to fend for himself and became, in essence, his own one person show. Really the process just confirmed to him why he hated people in general, but he came out of it with a lot more money, so it was a good experience for him.

Ilan - Top Chef 2




Ok, we established before, the fact that he's not well liked around here. Which I had no idea about. However, I always liked him...he didn't seem as pompous to me as most people feel he was. Especially not compared to Harold who just won the season before. I liked Ilan, I liked his relationship with Betty, I liked his relationship with Michael (who was my favo) and I like that he would put Marcel in his place. To me, Ilan just had a air about him that was really cool. He was trendy, he had his hipster glasses and his fauxhawk. In the resteraunt episode he came up with the idea to name it after all of their girlfriends...he just seems like he's really suave. And I want to be that suave! Also I was once told I kind of looked like him =oooo. But I think that was more thanks to his preferance of wearing festively colored hoodies. To me Ilan is A-OK, and until im left with concrete evidence as to why he is not, ill stick by it.

Zi - UK Mole 1




Another show i'm sure most of you have not seen, but Zi is my favorite winner of any Mole season I have seen thus far (Hopefully Mark can win and changes that). Zi and Mark are actually quite similar in fact, Zi was completely OTT and intense. He would go out to win every single mission and when someone dare sabotauge it he would snap and go off on them which provided for a ton of laffo moments. It got so bad that people got scared to mess up missions cause they didn't want to deal with Zi's wrath. Watching the season, you just know eventually his downfall will come and everyone will be relieved when he is executed...but to my shock, it never happened. He actually ended up winning the show and all the money, it was a very pleasant surprise and showed that people who are desperate to win, occasionally can.

Yoanna - America's Next Top Model 2





My highest ranked ANTM winner, I was a Shandi winner for most of the season, but I also loved Yoanna too. I never thought she would win cause she was too similar to Adrienne looks wise, but I was very pleased that she did. Especially after Shandi showed how trashy she was in cheating on her boyfriend in Milan. It was Yoanna's DREAM to be a top model, it was all she ever wanted. But she was never able to cause of her weight However through hard work she managed to get down to a perfect figure and through that and her wonderful pictures she beat out Mercedes for the win. I also loved the fact that she didn't back down from that witch Camilla and told her flat out that she didn't like her. Yoanna wasn't scared at all, and that is to be admired. Yoanna is far and away the best winner this show has had....though they haven't had many good ones at all.

David Cook - American Idol 7




David Cook is one of those rare situations where someones fans make me like them less. And I hate when that happens, it happened with Janelle and it happened a few other times. But the Cookie and Archie fans were just relentless towards the end of season 7 and it was quite painful to endure. Perhaps I shouldn't speak on the subject as I was probably just as bad with my beloved Jason Castro, but it was pretty awful. My love of Castro probably prevented me from ever fully touting Cook, but I always did like him. And I feel he has one of the best rock voices to ever come out of the Idol franchise, in any country. His Billie Jean and Music of the Night were both incredible and two of the best performances of the season. Also he always managed to stay humble and was never annoying...he was a bit boring but never annoying. I was torn at the finale, I always hated Archuleta, but I feared if Cook won we would never get another rock singer on American Idol...and that will still probably be the case. But in retrospect i'm glad he won, cause if it wasn't Jason or Brooke, he was the next best option.
