Good episode! You pretty much went back to Exile Island editing (i.e. showing one side as overly positive, another as overly negative). Which I didn't mind at all, I loved the Exile Island season. Plus I loved seeing Aras, Mary, and Alexis squirm, in addition to seeing Mary's annoying antics. I kind of predicted at the beginning that some sort of combination of people would turn on Sherea, but the way it went down was great. Brooke is definitely turning into real Guatemala's Stephenie or to an extene Belize Jamie. They're causing enemies when they didn't really need to. We'll see if that affects her game like the other two, as they both placed 2nd.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the episode, and I think you might notice a few more Exile Island-like similarities in today's episode. (Great to hear you loved that season, Btw; I reread one or two of the episodes lately and have a bit more appreciation for it now). I agree that some of Mary's antics were somewhat entertaining. Good job predicting about people turning on Sherea, and that's an interesting comparison for Brooke. I'd say more so Stephenie than Jamie, but both could definitely be possible.
Mikey and Tracy's deal. Nice to see such big enemies in the beginning of the game uniting under a common cause. Though I'm pretty sure one's going to turn on the other before the Final 2. Tribal Council was great, too. All the scrambling with the votes, ending 4-2-1-1 was great.
Thanks! This was also one of my favorite parts of the episode, and I also liked the way the voting went down. Tracy/Mikey are definitely important to the ultimate story, and they have been since Episode 1.
I'd give it an 8.5.
Thanks for the 8.5! I appreciate that! :)
Mary: Why choose Aras? In the slim chance that it was another political challenge (which it was), she had think they'd be picked off. Plus the fact that if they split off and one of them won, they could try to talk to their partner about strategy.
It was for personal reasons. (I believe it was her that said) She didn't want to go on a Reward with any of the people that she didn't like because she didn't want to get stuck with them. She wasn't thinking strategically with that decision, whereas Aras tried to explain to her why they shouldn't partner up. Most of the Reward Challenges this season are somewhat political...
Thanks for your predictions and for filling out the Popularity Poll!
Thank you again for your comments. Great to still have you as a loyal reader! Hope you enjoy the last three episodes (next one in a few hours), and have a great day! :)
