Survivor 18 will be in the Maledives which are struggling back to life. It was scouted before and that is why they are visiting India now. Its a nice somewhat
easy to get to location after Gabon.

Not that I'm believing anything at this point, but the Maledives looks absolutely beautiful! Cook-Islands beautiful.
If there are some islands that are not built-up and resort-ified, it would be a perfect place for Survivor. Just search maledives (or maldives seems to work better) in Google Images. Here's a picture of the capital from Wikipedia. |

Maldives would be a nice contrast to Gabon. After such a hard location for S17, they probably want to go somewhere more comfortable for S18.

Maldives is a very small place in Indian Ocean. Production crew may choose one of the Atolls (Island reefs) in Maldives.
