Reward Challenge - Nut Bucket

<'Bolero' plays, as the camera rapidly zooms across the vast ocean, and then shows an aerial view of the beach where the challenge is set up. A wide view of four rope nets is then shown, before the camera rapidly scrolls around them and then cuts ahead to show Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <talking loudly> Come on in, guys! <The camera switches angles to show a view of a teal 'Outwit, Outplay, Outlast' flag, and then scrolls down to show a front view of the eight Rubak members walking in to the challenge area. A close-up view of both Tracy and Mary is shown, before the camera zooms out to show the castaways gathering into a group on their mat. A wide view of the entire Rubak tribe is then shown, before the camera returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Alright; <short pause> you guys ready to get to today's challenge? <The camera shows Eliza nodding her head dramatically, and then zooms out to show several castaways>

Jeff Probst: Right now, though, big decision to make: <Jeff takes another short pause, as the camera returns to both Eliza and Mikey> who are you going to send to Exile Island? <There is a prominent sound, as Mary turns her head, and the camera zooms back in on Eliza and Mikey, who can be heard whispering to each other> Keep in mind that whoever you send will get another clue… <The camera shows Eliza nodding her head knowingly>

Immunity Challenge - Marine Memory

<'Wild Dogs' plays, as the camera rapidly zooms over the vast ocean where a floating obstacle course can be seen, and then abruptly cuts ahead to show a close-up view of Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <talking loudly> Come on in, guys! <The camera turns to show a side view of the seven Rubak members walking in to the challenge area. Quick close-up views of both Sherea and Eliza are shown, before the camera zooms out to show the seven castaways assembling into a group on their teal mat. Jeff is then shown again>

Jeff Probst: We'll now bring in Brooke, returning from Exile Island. <An eerie shift in the music occurs, as the camera abruptly switches angles to show Brooke walking up the beach and re-joining her Rubak tribemates on the teal mat. Sherea can be seen hugging Brooke, before the camera shows a clip of Alexis patting her on the shoulder>

Alexis: <to Brooke> Welcome back… <Eliza can be heard saying "Hey" to a smiling Brooke>

Brooke: Thanks! <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows a rapid view of the entire Rubak tribe, and then focuses back in on Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: You guys ready to get to your Immunity Challenge? <A close-up view of Tracy is shown, as she nods her head and several castaways respond with an enthusiastic "Yes!">

Tracy: Yes… <The camera shows a quick clip of Brooke, and then turns to show another view of Jeff, who sets his hand down on the Immunity necklace, which is already on its stand>

Jeff Probst: Once again, Immunity is back up for grabs. <Mikey can be seen subtly nodding his head, before the camera scrolls across several Rubak members and then returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: For today's challenge, you're going to race out into the water and maneuver across a series of obstacles. <An aerial view of the obstacle course is shown> When you reach the end, you'll dive down 10 feet to a long plank <An underwater camera now scrolls down to show the wooden plank> with seven island symbols on it. <Rapid clips of each of the symbols are now shown> Memorize as many of those symbols, in order, as you can, <The camera focuses on a palm tree, and then turns to a crab> and then race back to the beach, where you will attempt to replicate those symbols in the same order on your answer board. <A view of a female castaway's answer board is shown, as she arranges her symbols. Jeff is then shown again> First person to solve it correctly wins Immunity; <short pause> is guaranteed at least one more day in this game. <A wide view of Eliza, Aras, and Tracy is shown> Losers, you know what happens: <The camera now focuses in on an expressionless Brooke, as she nods her head> Tribal Council tonight, <Mikey is then shown listening intently> and for one of you, this game will come to an end. <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera shows Sherea shifting her expression, and then cuts back to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Gotta make your way across the course, <An overhead view of the challenge area is now shown, as the castaways swim towards the obstacles> and memorize the symbols in order! <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera abruptly cuts ahead to show Aras climbing up onto the first floating platform>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Aras first up on the obstacle course. <The camera then turns to show both Brooke and Mikey> Brooke up on a platform; <short pause> Mikey B right behind! <The camera now zooms out to show a wide view of several Rubak members beginning to make their way across the obstacle course>

Jeff Probst: <narration> You're looking to get all seven symbols in the correct order! <Aras now says "Stone" aloud, before the camera switches angles to show Mikey racing up the beach and arriving at his puzzle station. He then begins to work on his puzzle>

Jeff Probst: <narration> It's down to Aras and Mikey! <Rapid clips of both men are now shown> How much do they remember? <Mikey sets the coconut tile down into the fourth spot on his answer board, as the camera shows him flipping through the other tiles>

Mikey: <talking aloud> What was next?! <Another view of a determined Aras is then shown>

Jeff Probst: <narration> If you call it out and you're wrong, <Aras now places the stone tile down> you gotta go back and take another look before you can make any changes! <The camera shows Aras setting his final tile into place, and then turning to Jeff>

Aras: Jeff, I think I got it… <A quick view of Mikey is shown. Jeff can then be seen rushing over to Aras' puzzle station to check over his answer board>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Aras thinks he has it! <Mikey is heard calling out for Jeff, before the camera shows Jeff examining Aras' answers. A close-up view of a hopeful Aras is shown, as the camera focuses on him for a few seconds, and then shows Jeff raising his arms>

Jeff Probst: <shouting> Just like that, Aras wins his second individual Immunity! <A victory theme begins to play, as Aras claps loudly and then raises his arms victoriously. The camera shows Mikey with a disappointed look on his face, and then switches angles to show several other Rubak members arriving back on shore. Aras is now shown cheering happily>

Aras: <shouting> Yes! Yeah! <A close-up view of an unimpressed Brooke is shown> Take that! <A quick view of Sherea is shown next, before the camera goes back to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Aras, get over here. <The camera shows Jeff grabbing the Immunity necklace, and then turns to show Aras walking over to him, as claps can be heard from the other Rubak members. Jeff is then shown putting the necklace around Aras' neck>

Jeff Probst: <to Aras> I know you want this… <Aras nods his head, before the camera switches angles to show a close-up view of a frustrated Sherea>

Sherea: <mumbling> I hope it strangles him… <A prominent drumbeat is then heard, as the camera abruptly cuts back to both Jeff and Aras>

Jeff Probst: Congratulations. <Aras nods again and says "Thank you"> You're safe at Tribal Council. <An expressionless Eliza is then shown> With this around your neck, you cannot be voted out. <Aras is shown pumping his arms into the air again> Sadly, for the rest of you, this game will be coming to an end tonight for somebody. <The camera shows Brooke staring ahead with a subtle smirk on her face, before switching angles to show Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Grab your stuff; <short pause> head back to camp. <Quick views of several Rubak members are shown, before the camera goes back to Jeff> I'll see you at Tribal. <A close-up view of Alexis is shown, before the camera zooms out to show all eight Rubak members walking out of the challenge area. A joyful Aras is then shown, as the camera zooms in on the Immunity necklace, and the screen fades out>

Tribal Council #12 - Rubak Tribe

<'Tally the Vote' begins to play, as the camera shows a view of the sun setting in the darkening sky, and then fades into an aerial view of the Tribal Council village. The eight Rubak members can be seen making their way across the wooden dock, before the camera shows a close-up view of a flickering flame, and then cuts ahead to show Jeff. Several castaways can be seen walking past him, before the camera switches angles to show the Rubak members setting their torches down in their slots and then sitting down at the benches. Jeff is now shown again>

Jeff Probst: Let's get to the last few days: <short pause> Tracy, how are you feeling about the result of the last Tribal Council? <The camera shows a rapid clip of Ian and Kathy, before turning to Tracy> Because it's no secret that you and Kathy had gotten pretty close… <The camera shows a wide view of the entire Rubak tribe, and then zooms back in on Tracy again>

Tracy: You know, that was probably the hardest, most emotional Tribal Council for me. <Mikey can be seen looking towards Tracy> I know it's a game, and betrayals happen; <The camera now focuses in on Kathy> yeah, it doesn't feel good, <A quick view of Mary is shown, before the camera goes back to Tracy> but you know, you have two choices: <short pause> either you're gonna mope around and just wallow about it, <Eliza is shown smiling> or you're gonna get up, dust yourself off and persevere. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows a thoughtful-looking Aras, and then scrolls back over to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Sherea, how has this game changed you as a person? <The camera shows a wide

view of all eight Rubak members> Is there anything that you learned this time that's maybe different from what you took away from China? <A close-up view of Sherea is shown next>

Sherea: Definitely; um, <pause> I've been doin' a lot less talkin', you know, than in China, and a lot more listening. <The camera shows a quick view of Tracy, and then returns to Sherea again> You know, I've definitely learned to be more patient with people and not be quite so outspoken all the time… <Mary can be seen raising her eyebrows, before Jeff is shown>

Jeff Probst: Let's talk about relationships: <short pause> Mikey B, do you see any bonds in this tribe that concern you? <The camera shows a close-up view of Tracy, and then switches angles to show Mary> Certain people that are grouping together or that are closer than maybe you'd like 'em to be…<Alexis can then be seen looking up, before the camera turns to Mikey>

Mikey: I think the closest two that have, you know, a "relationship," if you wanna call it that, would be Aras and Mary, <Rapid clips of both Mary and Aras are shown> which we've all known about since before the merge. <The camera returns to Mikey again> Alexis is obviously an alliance with them, and then Brooke, Sherea, and Eliza are another alliance, <A wide view of the three women is shown> you know, which leaves myself and Tracy by default… <Tracy is shown with a subtle smile on her face, as she brushes her hair back. Jeff is then shown next>

Jeff Probst: Mary, what's the relationship between you and Aras? <The camera shows Aras smiling and looking towards Mary, before scrolling over to her>

Mary: The relationship between myself and Aras is totally innocent. <The camera continues to show Mary for a few seconds> You know, we're flirting a little bit, <laughs> snuggling at night, <Eliza makes a disgusted face> and he's just a beautiful, beautiful person inside and out… <A tense-looking Sherea now raises her eyebrows, before the camera turns back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Eliza, you buyin' that? <The camera shows Eliza shaking her head dramatically>

Eliza: No; I think that's pretty much a load of crap. <Mary can be seen tensing her expression> When they're lying on the beach together or in the hammock in the middle of, you know, 100˚ heat, <Aras is shown with a strange look on his face> and Mary's got her head on Aras' chest, or they're in the shelter practically making out and intertwined like snakes, <laughs> <Mary is then shown scowling> um, <short pause> it's not just to stay warm, so I'm definitely not buying that… <There is a mysterious shift in the music, as the camera scrolls across several Rubak members, and then switches angles to show Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Tracy, <short pause> tell me about camp life. <Tracy is now shown, as she subtly nods her head> Have you been sensing any tension within this tribe, or is it all just starting to come out tonight? <The camera continues to focus on Tracy for a few seconds>

Tracy: There's absolutely tension in the tribe. <Eliza is then shown listening intently> You know, there's been personality conflicts going on constantly the last three days, particularly with the younger girls, <Alexis and Mary are both shown next> but I think that's natural with a group of six women who living in such close quarters. <A close-up view of Brooke is then shown, as the camera focuses on her> It gets pretty intense… <laughs> <The camera shows Mikey with a wide grin on his face, and then turns back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Alexis, <Jeff pauses, as the camera turns to Alexis> what's the food situation like 30 days in? <The camera now zooms out to show both Mary and Alexis>

Alexis: I think right now we're definitely getting concerned about the amount of food that we have. <The camera shows a wide view of the entire Rubak tribe again> You know, we're getting down to the end of our rice and our beans that the Favorites won early in the game; <A close-up view of Brooke is then shown next> um, we've only got two of our chickens left out of four, and we're trying to conserve them for eggs, <Mikey is then shown listening intently> so yeah, I mean, we're definitely not eating enough to feel full, which is why it's so key to win Rewards… <There is a prominent sound, as the camera shows a frustrating Tracy tensing her expression and shaking her head, before returning to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Tracy, you had a big reaction to what Alexis just said… <The camera switches angles to show another view of a thoughtful-looking Tracy>

Tracy: Well, it's aggravating because they talk about running low on food, but yesterday, they said "You know what? We're gonna cook enough rice for eight people" <Brooke can be seen shifting her expression> when only five of us were eating it, <Mikey is then shown nodding his head> you know, basically using up three extra portions that we could have saved, <A wide view of the entire Rubak tribe is shown next> so tell me how that jives if you're really trying to conserve? <An eerie shift in the music occurs, as the camera shows quick clips of Alexis and Mary, who both display strange smirks. The camera shows an uncomfortable Eliza, and then turns back to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Let's go back to something Alexis said, because by my count, Eliza, you've won four of the last five Rewards. <Eliza is shown nodding her head, as she says "Yep"> Do you think these other people are looking at that and thinking "Mm, threat; <A quick view of Alexis is shown> gotta get rid of her?" <The camera shows Eliza again, as she nods her head again>

Eliza: That's definitely crossed my mind that people could be resentful of me, or, you know, hold a grudge against me for winning three Rewards in a row. <Alexis can be seen shifting her expression> You know, I'd be stupid not to worry about what they're thinking, <The camera then switches angles to show Mary raising her eyebrows> and that thought definitely makes me uncomfortable, <Another close-up view of Eliza is shown next> but <long pause> if they didn't want me to win another Reward, <The camera zooms out to show all eight Rubak members again> they could have given me and Mikey more coconuts, <laughs> so, <pause> you know, they can't hold it against me for me winning this time… <A close-up view of the central fire burning is shown, before the camera fades out to show Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Aras, <short pause> what was your reaction when you realized that the breakfast in bed was gonna happen at your camp? <An eerie sound is heard, as Eliza immediately turns her head> Did you go and watch, or did you give them their own private space? <The camera zooms in on an uneasy Aras>

Aras: I watched them eat for a few minutes, <Both Mary and Alexis are shown> but then I just got depressed that they were getting breakfast and I was getting rice… <laughs> <A few laughs are heard, as the camera shows Eliza, who interjects>

Eliza: <to Aras> Oh, it must have torture! <The camera abruptly cuts back to Aras again>

Aras: You know, but at the same time, you almost want to keep watching. <Alexis can be heard saying "You feel compelled to"> It's like when I was a kid and my mom used to take me into a toy store and say "You can look, Aras, but you can't buy anything." <laughs> <The camera now shows a wide view of the entire Rubak tribe> You know, you still want to look for the coolest toy in that store, even though you know you can't have it, <Mary can be seen subtly nodding his head> and it was the same thing today with food… <Brooke is shown shifting her expression, before the camera shows a burning torch, and then returns to Eliza>

Eliza: But then they also had to make comments about how "fluffy the pancakes looked," and how "greasy the bacon was…" <Aras is then shown with a strange smirk on his face before the camera cuts back to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: How frustrating would it be, Mary, to be voted off tonight? <A rapid clip of Eliza is shown, before the camera switches angles to show Mary>

Mary: It would be very frustrating, but I would definitely, definitely not be surprised. <Alexis can be seen listening intently> You know, the tribe is divided five and three; <short pause> Aras has Immunity, so I really feel like Alexis and myself are the two most vulnerable of going home tonight. <The camera shows a wide view of several castaways, before focusing back in on Mary> You know, as much as we've tried, I haven't really noticed any clear cracks where anyone was willing to vote for somebody within their alliance, <Eliza is then shown raising her eyebrows> so yeah, it'll be hard to be voted off tonight, but I already see it coming and at least it won't be a blindside… <There is a prominent sound, as the camera shows Eliza turning her head, and then focuses in on a contemplative Brooke. Jeff is then shown again>

Jeff Probst: Alright; <short pause> let's get to the vote. <The camera scrolls across several Rubak members, before turning back to Jeff> Aras, you have the Immunity necklace, unless you want to do something crazy and give it to somebody else. <Aras is then shown smiling>

Sherea: Um, it's just your time to go; <A close-up view of Alexis is shown next> you're not part of our alliance. <Sherea now begins to fold her vote in half> See ya! <laughs> <Mikey is shown arriving at the voting confessional and uncapping the pen, before the camera switches angles to show a Micronesian mask burning in the central fire, as flames flare up around it. The next castaway to vote is Eliza. She can be seen making her way across the main Tribal Council area, before the camera shows both Ian and Kathy watching her. Eliza: <whispering> Sherea, I love you dearly, <The camera fades out to show a close-up view of an unsuspecting Sherea> but in order for me to get further in the game, I have to get rid of you because I feel like you have some kind of deal with Brooke. <A quick view of a conflicted Brooke is shown, before the camera returns to Eliza> I'll miss you a lot around camp… <An immune Aras can be seen placing his folded vote into the urn, before the camera shows a close-up view of an uneasy Mary, and then cuts ahead to show Brooke walking up to the voting confessional. Jeff Probst: I'll go tally the votes. <A haunting tribal chant is heard, as the camera shows Jeff walking out of sight, and then scrolls over to the eight Rubak members. A tense-looking Sherea is shown staring ahead, before the camera fades out to show a close-up view of a contemplative Eliza. Brooke is then shown, before the camera scrolls up to show her face. A quick view of Mary is shown, before the camera turns to show Jeff returning onto the screen with the voting urn in his hands>

Jeff Probst: If anybody has the hidden Immunity Idol and you want to play it, <An eerie sound is heard, as the camera shows Mary turning her head> now would be the time to do so. <The music becomes more dramatic, as the camera shows rapid clips of several Rubak members looking towards Mary. Mary is then shown with a thoughtful expression on her face, before she stands up and reaches into her sweater pocket to pull out the hidden Immunity Idol. Eliza smiles, before the camera shows Tracy brushing her hair back. Mary can now be seen confidently handing the hidden Immunity Idol to Jeff, before the camera switches angles to show Mikey with an amused smirk on his face, and then turns to both Tracy and Brooke. Jeff is then shown again, as the music softens>

Jeff Probst: Mary is playing the hidden Immunity Idol. <Another prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows Aras and Alexis both smiling and exchanging confident glances> Mary is immune from tonight's vote. <A surprised Sherea can be seen tensing her expression and then shaking her head, before the camera focuses back in on Jeff>

Jeff Probst: The rules of Survivor state that if anybody plays a hidden Immunity Idol, <Mary is now shown sitting back down, as the camera shows the entire Rubak tribe> any votes cast against that person do not count, <A grinning Eliza now nods her head> and the person with the next highest number of votes will be sent home. <Another close-up view of Mary is now shown, as she continues to stare ahead> Any votes cast for Mary do not count. <The camera shows Sherea with an uncomfortable look on her face>

Jeff Probst: <Jeff is now shown pulling the first vote out of the urn> First vote: <He quickly looks down at it, and then reveals it to the castaways> Alexis. <Eliza is shown with a slight smile on her face, before the camera scrolls over to Aras and Mary, and Mary tenses her expression. An annoyed Alexis is then shown rolling her eyes, before the camera cuts back to Jeff, who already has the next vote in his hands>

Jeff Probst: <Jeff can be seen pulling the third vote out of the urn. A rapid clip of Mary is then shown, as he unfolds it. Jeff Probst: <to Sherea> You need to bring me your torch. <Ian and Kathy are shown exchanging surprised glances, before the camera cuts ahead to show Mary taking a deep breath and then clasping her hands in front of her mouth. Sherea can then be seen grabbing her torch, before the camera shows an unfazed Tracy staring ahead>

Sherea: <sarcastically> Thanks a lot to whoever switched… <A wide view of the entire main Tribal Council area is now shown, as Sherea places her torch into the slot in front of Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Sherea, <long pause> the tribe has spoken. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows Jeff snuffing out a frustrated Sherea's torch>

Jeff Probst: <to Sherea> It's time for you to go… <Sherea is now shown walking out of the main Tribal Council area, as the camera focuses on her for a few seconds, and then switches angles to show a wide view of the seven remaining Rubak members. Eliza is shown with a satisfied grin on her face, before the camera goes back to an expressionless Brooke>

Jeff Probst: Well, <Jeff is then shown, as he takes a long pause> tonight's vote and Tribal Council were certainly one of a kind. <Aras is shown staring ahead> We are 30 days into this game and we've already seen the greatest number of blindsides ever in Survivor history. <A close-up view of Mary is shown, as she shakes her head out of frustration> I guess the lesson that you should take out of tonight's Tribal Council is: <short pause> anybody who still feels safe in this game is a fool. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows Mikey listening intently. Eliza is then shown smiling, before the camera returns back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Grab your torches; <short pause> head back to camp. Good night. <'Ancient Voices of Micronesia' begins to play, as the camera shows Alexis and Tracy both standing up, and then zooms out to show the seven remaining Rubak members grabbing their torches and walking out the Tribal Council village. EPISODE 11 NOTES:

Here are a few important notes about Episode 11 and the rest of this story. Please be sure to read them so that you have a better understanding of what is going on.

1) So there is Episode 11 (with Tribal Council this time!). Only three more to go, and I guarantee there will be a few more surprises and some exciting strategy moments. This episode was strange in that it was the second episode in a row where the person voted out was UTR in their boot episode. That wasn't something that I planned for in advance, but especially in this episode, there was so much going on otherwise that Sherea was the one person who was simply not involved in what was happening. The other seven characters are all main characters now, as far as I'm concerned.

2) I'll be working on updating everything in the thread in the next two days. I know I've gotten behind on some of the images again, but I wanted to get this episode posted before I did any of them, so now I'll go back and do that.

3) The rest of the notes will go through the whole episode in order, like usual, and I'll also answer a few questions that I think you might have about what is going on right now:

4) As most of my episodes do, this one started with a scene after Tribal Council. This scene focuses almost entirely on Tracy and Mikey though, and Tracy gets four confessionals in it. Although Tracy is upset about Kathy going, she reveals that she knew she couldn't take Kathy to the F2 because she needed Kathy's vote on the jury. Also, notice how Tracy makes a comment about how you respond to betrayal and how you deal with anger. Mary yelled at Brooke/Sherea after the last Tribal Council, whereas Tracy made amends with Mikey and the two developed a better understanding of each other. I wanted this scene to be told from Tracy's POV since we get more from Mikey later on in the episode. Just a few other things to point out: 1) the episode title comes from this scene; 2) When Tracy says "I can pull through; I did last time," that was referring to after Jason's boot. This scene was also important for re-introducing the Airai Final Three that becomes important. Oh, and I should mention about Alexis' confessional where she says that she WOULD have voted for Aras had the other three done that.

5) There's a quick scene at the village Reward, where Eliza says she's excited to see who was voted off. The chief gives the girls a treemail message about their next challenge, and then Sherea gets her only confessional in this episode, which talks about similar people coming together instead of finding things that divided them. I'm not sure if anyone saw this connection, but this just happened about 30 seconds before with Tracy and Mikey - they could have stayed divided, but they decided to unite since they have a common goal. As Tracy said, the Favorites and the younger girls did the opposite: they divided from each other, so even though it seemed like Sherea's confessional was just talking about people in general, it was also specific to what was going on in the tribe.

6) The next Rubak scene is already quite long, yet I had to cut some parts out of it (some of it went into the next episode). It begins with Aras giving a recap of the 5-3 division in the tribe and saying that his alliance's best chance is to get Tracy/Mikey to turn against Brooke/Sherea/Eliza. It's also the perfect time to start planting this seed because the girls are still gone on their Reward. So Aras tells Tracy that if the Final Five is B/S/E/T/M, Tracy and Mikey would be out at the Final Five. Tracy then explains in a confessional that Eliza would be the swing vote in this case because she has ties to Brooke/Sherea and Airai. She also says that if her/Mikey have an opportunity to get rid of one of the Favorites (meaning Brooke or Sherea), they would do it. Essentially, it would prevent this swing vote situation at the Final Five. Obviously, this is meant to explain why they vote Sherea out later in the episode.

Tracy and Mikey then have a talk about which Fav. Girl they want to get rid of first. They agree that Brooke's the bigger threat, but Tracy says she thinks Eliza will try to get rid of Sherea. Bingo! And a lot of you caught onto the fact that Eliza would backstab Sherea for this reason too, so very good job!

B/S/E then return to camp and bring the treemail message with them, which says to divide into four pairs. I like the idea of having them have to pick their own partners at camp (like they did in Australia and Africa, I believe), because I think it's a good way to cause some drama like what happened here. I had to cut this scene down a lot, but Mary basically wouldn't accept anyone as a partner except Aras, and none of the girls wanted to go with any of Aras' group anyway. Tracy volunteered to go with Alexis. Sherea immediately wanted to go with Brooke, which was another reason that caused Eliza to question their relationship. And there's a couple confessionals from Mary and Aras - nothing spectacular or especially significant.

7) So we get to the Reward Challenge, which was one used on the real show in Episode 3, where they had to throw coconuts into nets and someone had to hold the nets. Instead of as a tribal challenge, I made it individual so that there could be four nets instead of 2 and they could mix things up a bit and target certain people. Also because I needed two challenges that would be short and I knew this would be one of them. As you'd expect, the five-person alliance targeted Aras/Mary first, while Mary targeted people from the five-person alliance (specifically, the Favorite Girls). Eliza/Mikey ended up winning the challenge, and the Reward was breakfast in bed and letters from home, but they were told there was a small twist to it. Eliza/Mikey sent Brooke to Exile Island so that Brooke could look around for the hidden Immunity Idol, which unbeknownst to them, Mary already had. I think that's the problem with having the clues set up this way; it becomes too easy to find the idol and people can find it on one trip out to Exile.

8) The next scene skips right to the next morning, where the tribe is woken up very early in the morning and Eliza/Mikey find out that the twist was that instead of going away somewhere for the Reward, the bed was right on their beach, which means that everyone else could watch them eating the breakfast if they wanted. The Eliza/Mikey pairing at the challenge was important because Mikey revealed that he has a "connection" with Eliza, which hopefully helped to explain when Eliza said Mikey would definitely take her to the F2. I really enjoyed the two scenes from the Reward. I couldn't resist a reference to Eliza looking like an alien, and then of course, there's the drama of the Aras group being annoying and watching Eliza/Mikey. I liked Eliza's confessional about them being drooling dogs. If you notice the gray text, Mikey drew a perimeter around the bed that they couldn't pass. Eliza says she wishes she could send them to Exile Island permanently, which segues into the next scene.

9) With so much else going on, the Exile Island scene was extremely short, but it is significant for one thing: Brooke says that she trusts Eliza's decisions and judgement in the game, which was meant to partially justify why Brooke trusted Eliza in the end and voted out Sherea.

10) Back to the Breakfast Reward, where Eliza and Mikey get their family letters. You should notice the lines from Mary/Alexis saying "I can't believe they just got their letters" in between positive confessionals from Eliza and Mikey. That was definitely meant to be negative for them. Mikey's letter was sad because one of them was from his mom, who passed away earlier this year. The letter provided a great opportunity to show a more positive and sensitive side of Mikey though that I hope you enjoyed. I also liked that he was able to get the news of his sister having twins and how that was tied into one of his confessionals about life/God. Also liked the line in Italian. In general, I just really enjoyed this scene even though it was sad for me to write, and I felt that I should put an "In Memory" at the end of the episode since I had to talk about Mikey's mom. Hopefully everyone felt like this was handled in a respectful way since I know it might be treading on personal territory.

11) The rest of this scene adds even more negative to Mary/Alexis. There are only five people eating rice (since E/M got the breakfast and Brooke is on Exile), but Mary/Alexis decide to still make 8 portions of rice and then they divide the extra three among the other 5 that are eating. Mary says that she doesn't care because she won't be around when the food runs out, and Alexis also uses the opportunity to try and create some discontent by saying that Eliza has won all the food Rewards. She wants to get people from that alliance to turn on her and this is how she goes about it.

12) Now we hit Day 30 and the tribe gets treemail. There's nothing particularly important about this scene (despite it being fairly long). Aras says he needs to win Immunity, Mikey says he hopes the breakfast will help give him a boost to beat Aras. Perhaps the most significant part is that Eliza floats the idea of voting off Sherea to Mikey/Tracy (her "Airai alliance" even though people don't really know about them being a group). Eliza also makes a Vanuatu reference about putting up with Twila/Scout, which I thought was appropriate. Anyway, she explains in a confessional that Sherea is a more dangerous person to keep around because Sherea would take Brooke to the F2 over her (she also worries that Brooke might take Sherea as well), whereas Mikey would definitely take her to the Final Two, and Tracy probably would. Eliza is thinking that in a B/T/E/M Final Four, Tracy and Mikey would turn on each other, Tracy would be fourth, and then either Mikey or Brooke would take Eliza to the F2 which gives her a good position. This is supported by what we saw in the episode, so it seems like a good move for her. What Eliza means by "killing two birds with one stone" is that Mary would not know of the plan to get rid of Sherea, so she would still use the idol, and then Sherea would be gone AND Mary would waste the idol.

13) Now we go to the Immunity Challenge, which is again very short. It is a combination of two types of challenges that have appeared on the show before. Based on the scene before the challenge, you might have guessed that it would come down to either Aras or Mikey to win it. Realistically, they may have had to swim out to memorize the symbols more than once, but for the sake of length, I just cut it down and made it look like Aras correctly memorized it on the first run out there. That may not have been the case, but I needed to keep the challenge short. I'm sure it didn't come as a huge surprise to anyone that Aras won again. Nothing more to say here.

14) The Rubak strategy scene starts with confessionals from Mikey and Brooke about the Immunity Challenge: Brooke was upset because Aras celebrated winning, blah, blah, blah. After that, Brooke explains that she couldn't find the hidden Immunity Idol, and the five-alliance decides that they have to vote for Alexis again (since Mary might have it). I believe I cut this line out, but in Alexis' first confessional she originally said that she didn't expect to get any more votes for the next two TCs since she was at the bottom of the pecking order. Obviously, she was wrong about that.

We now switch to Aras' group for their strategy, where Mary reveals that she found the hidden Immunity Idol. Aras says that he's going to vote for Brooke, while Alexis/Mary both want to vote out Eliza because they say she's won too many Rewards AND that it would split the five-alliance down the middle (remember, Eliza is seen as the swing). Aras has two confessionals, which indicate that he has renewed hope in the game and he believes Eliza will go home. I liked his line about Eliza being a "walking billboard for paranoia." It's true.

Why did Aras vote for Brooke, if he was talking about Eliza going?"

There's been a few times in the real show where someone has made a random or throwaway vote at TC that was never really explain. This was one of those times, although we did see that Aras initially wanted to vote for Brooke. He figured that the vote would be 5 for Mary, and 3 for Eliza, and since Mary would use the idol, she'd be safe. Therefore, Aras decided that he can vote for Brooke just because she'd never had a vote yet, and it would still be 2-1 for Eliza to go home. So it was kindof a "screw you" vote. Remember, Tracy's quote about the Favorites and the younger girls all hating each other and taking each other. That definitely came true and it was meant to tie into the events in this event.

15) The rest of the scene revolves around Brooke and Eliza, where Eliza confronts Brooke about who she would bring to the Final Two, and even though Brooke says Eliza, Eliza is not convinced (although she doesn't express mistrust - initially, she was going to say "Well, you betrayed Ian…" but I didn't think that would be good for their alliance). Eliza still says that she wants to vote Sherea off, and Brooke is against it; Brooke wants to vote off Alexis now, and then possibly get rid of Sherea next depending on whether or not Aras wins Immunity. Once again, Eliza IS paranoid just like Aras said. Anyway, I gave Eliza a confessional saying she doesn't know if she'll be able to convince Brooke just so I could leave it open before Tribal Council and there would be a lot of suspense about the vote.

Then there's a fun little scene where Mary is packing her bag and Brooke/Eliza basically tell her she's going. Notice the comical music here to go along with Mary's confessional where she thinks that Eliza will be sent home because of the hidden Immunity Idol. This was meant to make Mary OTT(N) because I felt like she was very simplified and the episode focused on all negative things and in an exaggerated way: her relationship with Aras, wanting to be his partner, the rice thing, being wrongly confident about the hidden Immunity Idol, the comical musics to make her look stupid about it (think Jaime in China).

Finally, Brooke gets a confessional before Tribal Council saying she doesn't know what she's going to do…

Why does Brooke vote for Sherea?

It really is hard to explain this, but the best line that I can use comes from Brooke's final confessional where she says that she would prove that she is trustworthy to Eliza. However, I personally don't think it was a great move for Brooke at all. I think it was an excellent move for Eliza but not for Brooke. I almost think of someone like Stephenie in Guatemala who got rid of Jamie/Judd/Cindy when she didn't necessarily have to. Brooke was really just going along with Eliza/the majority here.

16) Tribal Council: I liked Tracy's answer to the first question about how she reacted to Kathy going home. It was a very smart answer I'd say. Then Sherea got a question about how she changed and she said she was more patient and less understanding. We definitely saw that in the editing because she certainly didn't do as much talking as she did in China. Then there's some questions about the Aras/Mary relationship yet again, and Eliza makes it sound pretty dramatic. Tracy explains about the tension at camp between the younger girls again, which we see come into play with the vote. Alexis then gets a question about the food situation and says that they're running low on food, and then Tracy responds about the making extra rice thing. The focus on the food situation was supposed to tie into the fact that Eliza won all of those Rewards, which Alexis says at the end of her answer. Jeff then asks Eliza about it, and Eliza says "If they didn't want me to win, they could have given me more coconuts in the RC." Very true. Aras talks about watching them eating the breakfast and Eliza says they made annoying comments, and then Mary gets the final question where she says that she hasn't noticed any clear cracks where the alliance would turn on one of its members (oops, wrong), and it definitely won't be a blindside tonight because she knows she's going home…

17) The votes are cast and we see one for Eliza, one for Alexis, and one for Sherea. We get to hear Brooke's voting speech, which I think might tell you that she voted for Sherea. There was also Aras' vote for Brooke that I didn't show because I thought it might have been too confusing at that point and Brooke definitely wasn't going to go. Notice that Eliza still felt Sherea had a deal with Brooke. Maybe she just said that to feel better about the vote?

Anyways, after the votes are cast, Mary plays the hidden Immunity Idol expecting a 5-3 (or 5-2-1) vote between Mary-Eliza (and possibly Brooke), but when the first vote for Alexis comes up, it's not a good sign. Then Eliza. Then Brooke. Back to Eliza. Then the last four votes were all for Sherea (who wasn't expecting to get any), and Eliza threw in the comments: "And none for Mary." So all of the younger girls got votes except for Mary, who thought she was going and played the idol.

18) Sherea's Final Words show that she had no idea it was coming and she doesn't even know who voted for her or why she was voted out. But she definitely has some negative feelings towards the four that booted her, and she also thinks that the move didn't make sense.

Overall, I feel kinda bad about Sherea's edit in this season. I really think she was an amazing character and had a great story in China, and sadly, I was unable to duplicate it here. It's one of the prime reasons that makes me not want to write another season that has returning players in it. It is extremely difficult, especially when certain ones don't live up to the hype or when someone like Earl (or Yau-Man in real Micronesia) goes out early without playing much of a role. It's disappointing.

19) A LOOK AHEAD AT EPISODE 12

Episode 12 is going to be an episode where there's some very unique and interesting strategies relating to the challenges (both of which I wish someone would actually use on the show). I think the strategizing this season has, at times, been very creative (maybe because these people are supposed to be Fans), and this episode is no different.

Per the episode title "The Great Divide," the tribe also becomes even more separated between Aras' group and the other four (who now have a Final Four pact), and we see some acts of sabotage and other things like that that don't come into play in the real show a lot. It's an interesting dynamic in the tribe, for sure.

And could there possibly be another hidden Immunity Idol? I hope not, but the answer is probably Yes, since there are still a few more times it could be used… I think even the castaways are becoming as tired of it as I am.

20) So that's it for Episode 11. I hope these notes served to clear up some things. I know some of the strategy was complicated and confusing, and I definitely want you to understand what's going on.
