I don't see how that makes me retarded - I would think the retarded one would be the loser who couldn't come up with their own material and had to borrow a graph that showed how consistent Carrie's sales were and try to make it seem like something bad. When Kelly performed in Irvine back in 2006, did anyone know what the fuck happened there? She always references that that place was the lowest point in her life and her show was a bit sub-par and she had to cancel the meet and greet. Any guesses? And no, the song Irvine doesn't really give me any hints.

She had been touring for ages, had been really sick and had to cancel a few shows, and was having problems in her relationship. I think the girl had been run into the ground and was more than ready for a break.

Kelly & Graham had broken up 6+ months before the Irvine show. Kelly had been on a non-stop tour at that point for almost two years and while she loves touring it had taken a toll on her both mentally and physicially. I don't recall ever hearing that it was on specific event although it could've been and judging from songs like Judas I'm gonna say someone close to her betrayed her somehow. Kelly refuses to discuss what happened so we'll probably never know for sure but I can say it must've been pretty bad for her. The recording of Irvine that you hear on the CD is the only time she's ever sung that song from what the producer of My December says. She recorded it in a closet into her Mac and they just laid track over it. I know when I listen to it I can feel her hurt that's for sure. That song always gives me chills! I wrote it after my Irvine show on my last tour. I was just so burned-out. I was really struggling at getting somebody out of my life and finding people that really cared. The whole song is a prayer. I wrote it in the bathroom of the venue after the show. I had to cancel my meet-and-greet; it's the only meet-and-greet I've ever canceled. I couldn't smile. It was just a really, really bad night.
