For the record, Kim Caldwell and Ruben Studdard guest starred together in the SAME episode of "Life On A Stick." It aired 3-4 years ago. They played
two of the employees at an ice cream stand that is opening in the same mall that our heroes (?) work in, and they were hoping to run them out of business.
Ruben has virtually no dialogue-- maybe Kim copped all of his lines. She gets to give the finger to the show's heroine and is perfectly convincing as a
total bitch. Okay, so it's not a stretch, but remember--the worst actors can't even play THEMSELVES convincingly.

I admit to being a blog lurker mostly. I don't usually comment. But it seems as though about 90% of bloggers express hatred for Caldwell vehemently. The
other 10% are probably Kim defending herself or her close family/friends (since they tend to be too obviously passionate). The feelings of disdain are all over
the place, and it would be hard for Cook to miss the honest lack of respect for his gf. What's strange to me is that if he's such a nice, down-to-earth
guy who wants people's respect, why would he go out with a girl whom most people despise (and it's not just the fan girls; apparently his own
mother too .. sorry, this is a bit gossipy, but I'm from her town and I heard many rumours)? If a large number of people despised my partner, I
would get turned off pretty quickly, especially if I had a need to be liked/respected by others (some people care if others like them and other people
don't care; I get the feeling he has a need to be liked/respected a lo t).
On another note, the only guarantee that Caldwell will go away is if the "consumer" does not watch the programs she hosts or her mini-series, or buy her music, or support any of her activities. Plain and simple! You should also lobby TMZ/TV guide, etc. to stop giving her any attention, i.e. vote with your consumer dollars. If it means no attention to Cook, so be it. He made his bed, now sleep in it! |
