Are you kidding? Preschool teachers and daycare teachers would LOVE a ratio of less than 6 to 1.
In Illinois, the ratio for 4 year olds is 10 to 1. That's pretty average nationwide.
Two year olds - the ratio is 8 to 1.
In my state a licensed home daycare (with just one caregiver) can have 2 children under the age of 2. Up to 6 total including their own children. When
they get 1 year of experience they can have up to 8.
