One of my reasons for not thinking either Craig or Paul is the Mole is because of this promo that was aired before the show even started. In the middle of it, Craig, Ali, and Paul all say "I'm not the Mole" or "It's not me", and then the announcer says, "Too bad, one of them is lying." I find it hard to believe that ABC would actually narrow down the field to just three people as Mole possibilities before the show even starts. It seems like a poor advertising gimmick at best because it disqualifies three people to begin with or, at worst, it HAS narrowed down the Mole's identity to three people (two now that Ali is out of the picture.) IMO, the logic would be that neither of these two (Paul & Craig) can be the Mole. It doesn't matter if the general intent of this promo was to suggest that any one of the 12 contestants is lying. They chose these three contestants to show and IF one of them actually is the Mole, then this promo was "prophetic" and a total giveaway of the Mole's identity. Could ABC be that much of a spoiler? |

No Shan... cuz Clay or Nicole is the Mole. Nicole is so blatenly acting molish... her squirrellyness has me wondering. Clay, on the other hand is the
opposite... quiet, laid back, off the radar. Can't wait!

I heard an interesting point recently. During the Travelers mission, Craig and Jon were waiting at the halfway point for the contestants. Did Craig mention
the potential taxi from back in the second episode when Mark and Kristen were racing uphill on the tandem bike? Because if he did, how would he have known
about that, given that we never really saw Mark or Kristen talking about it.

We don't see a lot. I'm sure Mark and Kristen mentioned it at some point.

Will wrote: Oh, you meant season 2 of The Mole. I thought when you wrote S2 you meant Survivor 2. I was very much around for Mole 2. Bill was my pre-show pick and I went through hell on the ABC boards defending my position. As Will mentioned, the substantive clues weren't shown until the show started (ep2, I believe, had the enhanced Pisces Sky clue that pointed to Bill, the only Pisces.) If this promo is to be taken at face value, then ABC has blown the show before it even started. Personally, I give them more credit of NOT being that ignorant, which is why I feel the promo confirms that neither Paul or Craig are the Mole. |

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I think I remember Jon telling the group at the end of the mission that Mark and Kristen were offered some temptations but they refused. I'm sure he told the group about the taxi. |

It never said that one of the three is lying. I doubt ABC would narrow it down to three suspects in a commercial. I think they just did a confusing
commercial. When they say one of them is lying I take it as one of the twelve is not one of the three.

The commerical I remember seeing was some people early on saying they're not the mole then came a describtion of the mole, then it was Ali, Craig and Paul saying they're not the mole and then the announcer saying too bad one of them is lying refering to the whole group of people shown. I even think we had a back drop of the 12 contestants saying "I'm not the mole" then at the end Nicole and somebody else saying "But I'm the mole!" |

I don't know who first did this so I can't give them credit but seen it on another site. The clue card we got for episode three was s666-LIAr. Someone solved the first half like this. Count 6 spots from the "s" and you get "Y". Count 6 more spots and you are at "E". Count six more spots and you are at "K". The word KEY. They apparently want to stop there and call it good enough and figure the clue is "key liar". That doesn't seem good enough so I ended up at a translation site and entered LIA. It came back as "plaited esparto rope". Esparto is a type of grass that can be made into paper, shoes, and cordage such as rope, string, cord, lanyards, and necklaces. During that same episode Craig was wearing a necklace with a key on it so it would seem a good bet that this clue points to him. It also has to be more than a coincidence that the laundromat Craig found during that mission was right next to a key shop. The only problem I have with this clue is the small r after LIA unless it were to mean repeat as in repeat clue or something. At the beginning of episode 2 Jon was wearing a jacket with the word italia on it. It was halfway unzipped and divided the word, with ita on one side and lia on the other. To me, this would indicate that LIA was also a clue to the players. Anyone have any thoughts about the proper way to finish the second half of this clue? |

One more thing I wanted to post. At the beginning of All for One, Jon was standing outside the building and the name JAIME was written on it. This name is a variant of the name James, and according to a couple websites both those names are variants of the name Diego. As in SanDiego where Craig is from. Most of the sites I looked at listed Jaime as meaning "supplanter". Supplant means: "to supersede (another) especially by force or treachery". Since that sounds like the description of what the mole does it would be a pretty good bet that this is an actual clue. The only thing I don't like about this is that it is also a variant of the name Jacob, as in Alex Jacobs. Alex really needs to leave this week so my life will be less complicated.

By that same token, you could say the clue works out as "sYEK - LIAr" in which case, you can rearrange to make "SLIKE" (Craig's last name that he proudly wears on his t-shirt). But then, where does that leave the YAr? unless it's, SLIKE-ARY.. some kind of made up descriptive noun. |

"San Diego" also means "whale's vagina" in German, so this probably points to Nicole.
