I live on the Florida Gulf coast (where Jaws II was filmed).
What the fuck do you think? We see sharks with laser beams attached to their heads just abut every time we go in the water. |

I dated a shark once. He had a HUGE fin. The biting was a turn off though.

Actually White sharks DO bite their mates (to inspire eggs) while mating- much like a cat does.
you can see this pregnat 18 foot female has bite marks near her gills...most defiantely occured during mating. Picture is in Hawaii...the guy in front is Jimmy Hall (RIP) I was in these same cages about a week before this white shark turned up in Hawaii!! |

We go on a day excursion every year in the Bahamas that takes you out to the Exuma Cays. The Sharks and stingrays follow the boats into the shore. The crew
then feeds the sharks with leftovers of what they are preparing to feed everyone for the day. About 10 minutes later they yell "Time to Snorkel".
The first year I was scared shitless since you can still see the sharks swimming (Reef, Nurse & Lemon), but now it doesn't bother me too much, they
stay at a pretty good distance. The neatest thing I have seen is a stingray about 6ft in diameter swimming, it was awesome.

True, the sharks get accustomed to the tour boats. When we did our Sharge cage dive the sharks showed up after a few loud rev's of the engine...as it was ringing the proverbial 'breakfast bell' I have a freind who lost his arm to a Lemon shark in Florida. He was surfing and he got caught ina baitball that swan under his board for protection and a predating Lemon took his arm at the shoulder. Stingrays are so beautiful and graceful. |

I was always told the whole idea behind Jaws came from a shark attack that happened in Matawan, NJ. They actually have a festival every year called "Sharkfest." |

I had a dead baby shark in a bottle of alcohol when I was in junior high. Not sure what ever happened to it.
Once I nearly stepped on a stingray. But my uncle stepped on it first. Dumb ass. |
