I would fucking love to see Amberly hand all the boys their asses week after week and win the damn thing. It would be so funny and she's amazing so I'd
love to see her win.

Tonight was a really good night for Kanada. Two chicks, one being black, and a foreigner. KONGRATS KANADA!
I really hope anyone but Amberly wins. That doesn't mean I don't like her. I think she's the only one who has a shot at being successful and don't think she needs to be tarnished with the Idol crown. Maybe she could do a Jacob and come in third and become really successful that way. But who knows though, she might not be that type of artist who can't really be successful without the crown. Although winning doesn't give much of a push, the winner at least get's one fairly well promoted single, and that's all she may need to really make her a star. I think everyone else will fade into obscurity after the show is over. |

On the one hand yeah the Idol contract sucks but on the other it's really the only contract. Jacob is the exception to the rule. As a rule anyone who
doesn't win either has to go indie or go with a small label and does even worse than the winner. The winner's get very little success but pretty much
everyone else gets none. So I want to see Amberly win.

I'm actually really pleased with the results. Paul sings okay but I can stand watching him perform. That picture of him with his mouth hanging open about
sums it up.
 I love Lisa's personality but her voice is screachy. Marie-Pierre would've been my choice to stay out of those 3. Jesse was only
good with his few lines in 'yellow', everything else he's done has been terrible. Jessica has made a modern song sound old fashioned. I'm
glad Adam got to stay out of his group as well.

Except for Paul. Poor Paul though. Oh well. 
Oh Happy Day! I can't believe Messica got booted out so early. Thank you Manada! Somewhere arch-nemesis Christine is laughing. 
And how fitting that it came down to Lisa and Marie-Pierre, the song battle girls. Marie-Pierre pwnd her in the end. |

The only person that is ready to win and can actually move/sell albums would be Amberly.
The Piggotts and Theo as also strong possibilities but it's not as high as Amberlys and their chances of flopping are still there. If Amberly doesn't win, I'd agree with Wyldawg, another failed winner. The other 3 boys could still sell well but I don't think have longevity. Amberly is ready to be marketed to the U.S. and other overseas territories. Amberly is someone who would go to the U.S. and get signed by a major label like Arista or something. Knowing the stupidity of this country, Mark Day will win. |

The results have been really surprising for the most part thus far. Makes it really hard to guess who goes next week. And with 6 people leaving people
supporting the vulnerable idols may freak out and vote massively.
And about idols success post show, I haven't exactly been following their career, but are Theresa and Kalan still alive? They seemed like the only 2 who had the potential to pursue their idol success. In short, anyone who thinks going on an idol show will make them a permanent or long-term selling artist is just kidding themselves. Hell, Kelly and Carrie are two steps away from falling into the oblivion. Bet on it. |

Kelly can definitely fall into oblivion but I think Carrie has a pretty solid career in country for a while.
Kalan put out an album in August and flopped. He's probably barely making his rent wherever he is living in downtown Toronto. |

Theo Tams Amberly Thiessen Sebastian Pigott Oliver Pigott Mark Day Mitch McDonald Katelyn Dawn Mookie OR Earl Drew Wright Omar Lunans I will consider it a travesty if Adam Castelli or *shudder* Katherine St-Laurent are in the top 10. I'd love to see Mookie and Earl, as well as Marie-Pierre, in place of Omar and Mark Day. Canada has done such a good job in voting thus far, it gets me excited about the possibility of the best top 10 ever. However, knowing what usually happens in the top 14, I'm not holding my breath. |

I'm pretty content with tonight's results. Of course, I would have preferred that Mark Gay went home, but what can you do? We all know that the only
way he's going home is if the island of Newfoundland somehow sinks into the Atlantic. OR, if Mark reveals on next week's show that he's actually
from Thornhill. Then he'll be out of there.
I'm a little sad that Lisa's gone, but it was pretty much inevitable. Pretty much I would have been okay with any of the bottom 6 leaving tonight, but I'm glad that Jessica, Paul and Jesse are gone. We'll see what next week brings, whether it'll be a surprise Top 10, or six-man (woman?) massacre... |

I really hope Katelyn makes it and Katherine doesn't. I know the show has been pushing both but Katelyn is a million times better and I don't want
cute-young-blonde vote splitting to ruin her game. We don't even need to discuss Marie, she ain't surviving 6 eliminations, no way no how.

No sympathy from me because you knew beforehand that you'd be wasting those 2 hours.
Ben said we'd make our Top 10 next week and there are 16 people left so logically 6 would be eliminated. However their is speculation about it being a Top 12 and them leaving it until the last second like they did with the 24. Apparently if we make a Top 10 now the show will be over on the week of Sept 9th/10th, but it's usually over on the week of September 15th so that would be too early for it to end. They could be doing a Top 12 with a double boot for the first week, which would be way better than booting 6 next week. I think it'd be cool if they did a Top 11 and the judges got to pick the wild card to save out of the 6 who didn't make it. With it being 5 from each group one person in the wrong group could slip through the cracks and not make the Top 10, this would give the judges an opportunity to save them. Since the judges have better taste than Canada I wouldn't at all be upset by this. Top 11 would allow them to go to their normal finale week and still only eliminate 1 person per week. |

A Top 11 is GREAT. And the judges pick.
This is a great buffer if someone like Amberly for some bizzaro reason (you know how Manada is) ends up in the 6. Judges pick, bam. They probably have multiple scenarios of what will happen and based on the voting results, they'll release whatever method would best suit them. Which is fine by me. |
