America.

Nice try but no.
I agree with Jakob, they're probably making up all these statistics just to make themselves feel good as a country. I hate it when people use facts like they're facts.

We have no comparison to Miami, New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Boston and San Francisco. Cities in Canada are too new, and generic. You go to those U.S. cities and there is distinct flavor to them, not so in any Canookian city other than Montreal - and that is not an English speaking culture, so it is too foreign for my tastes, almost like Euro-lite. Cities are defined by shared experiences, common history and it's culture and arts. In Canookia only Montreal really qualifies as distinct and with
it's own flavor. I love Nova Scotians, but looking at Halifax (family home is 35 minutes away), I was never so disappointed. Ugly architecture, low rent
looking new developments despite a great harbor and natural topography to work with, and the highest rate of college graduates in Canookia. Vancouver is pretty
nice to look at, but generic and bland culturally.

You quoted from Pulp Fiction, who quoted from the bible. Are you denying this?

old Halifax is nice. The green space is nice. I'm talking about the new condos being built. Crowding the water and gawd awful design/aesthetics.

Ok agreed ..... the planning comittee is fucking short sighted and easily led by developers, but I think the peasantry might be revolting against that soon.
as hickish as it sounds, I love going to the city. It's big enough to excite but not so big as to overwhelm a rube such as myself. ( I hate driving in it though) |

ah... no, no I didn't.
Granted, I only have been there for fights. I am not a fan. I can play poker anywhere. Watching CSI is all the Vegas I need. ETA: I do think real cities need a 24/7/365 district. Where you get a drink, party, eat anytime.
