I'm watching the group performances on the official site. CI is really taking huge leaps in the right direction this season, people were dissatisfied last
season and basically every season since Season 2 and last year they took a few steps but this year they just revamped the whole damn competition. In Season 2 I
think they just lucked into great people like Theresa and Jacob but this year they set it up specifically to get people like that again and it worked.
Have You Ever Seen The Rain with Paul, Martin, Lindsay and Shaun is nice. They did a good job putting people together. They all sound good on it. I liked it.
In The Midnight Hour with Lindsey and Adam. Ummm I just hate Lindsey, she sounds cheesy and annoying singing anything apparently, thank God she left. Adam sounds good, much better than that hideous song he chose this week.
Old Time Rock and Roll with Mark, Cow Bitch, Earl and Mookie. Okay fine Cow Bitch sounded good on the song, I'll give her that. Mark was out of place and I didn't like his voice on it. Mookie and EARL!!1111 were awesome. This is the kind of song Jessica should sing, something more soulful, she has it in her to do it and it would be a hell of a lot more interesting that her souless, styleless belting.
Yellow with Jesse, Katelyn, GODDESS AMBERLY and Mitch was great. Holy fuck Amberly is amazing. Jesse kind of ruins it, but not to the point of it being unbearable. Mitch was really good, he should have sung this song instead of Shaun, although I love "Follow Through." Katelyn sounds nice but for female voices Amberly overshadows her. I could listen to Amberly's parts over and over though.
I Heard It Through the Grapevine with Gary, Omar and Drew. I like this song with the guitars, it's cool. Drew sounds very nice on it, for some reason I like Gary's voice so I liked him on it. Omar sucks but him and all the other people I think suck don't suck on a horrifying level the way other crappy semi finalists have in the past. Omar is like Eva Avila compared to someone like Derek Hoffman.
Fly Like An Eagle with Sebastian, Oliver and Tetiana, just wow. Really great, I loved it. Not much more I can say, they're talented. It's a shame about Tetiana getting the boot but she wasn't going to go much further anyway. Loved Oliver on it, wow.
Imagine with Lisa, Theo, Katherine and Marie Pierre, another great one. Theo and Lisa sound great together. Why no solo for Katherine though?
All were pretty awesome.
Piggs and Tetiana were best, with Amberly and Co 2nd and Earl and Co 3rd.
I'm just fucking floored by the talent this season. It's amazing, like I said about Omar, even the lesser talents are far and away better than lesser talents in past seasons. I honestly don't think with this group Canada could pick a bad Top 10.

Way better idea than the usual Idol results show group performances with the cheesy choreography and trying to get all 24 people to sing together. No doubt AI will steal this idea next year, and so they should.
