I only saw a little more than half of this episode, can someone tell me why she was so scared of her husband if she was the serial killer?

I loved this one, it was funny as hell.
Just like with Masters of Horror, every once in awhile they do one that cracks me up, like this one did. And Catholic churches give me the creeps anyway. |

So when does this show get scary?

as soon as she read the note it was easy to figure out the "twist." they foreshadowed the crap out of it with the missing ex-boyfriends, etc. the
problem with horror anthologies is that audiences have become so much more jaded - there are really few twists left that could surprise an audience. it's
all been done to death - pun intended.
the only surprise was the brother dressed like a woman. the imagery was good with the statues, but that was about it. what might have worked better was if the note had said: "The person marrying you is a serial killer." and then the priest could be the killer. but other than that, meh. |

The only thing I didn't get is why wasn't the card labeled To the Groom. I mean why give it to a deaf priest? Besides what would the groom of done,
believed it? Its kind of a stretch, if I got that note on my wedding day I would just be like WTF? Who's messing around? She should relaly kill him though
b/c he seems to be a little on the violent side anyways.

I am just confused. I don't get why she was scared for so much of the episode if she and/or her brother were both killers. Why be so nervous? Why need to
be all jilted by strange noises and stuff? Odd. I understand a twist, but....why the whole hour of her being so damn scared?

I don't think she knew it was her brother dressed as the woman, I think her brother wanted to stop her from marrying and thought that would be the way to do it. The whole time she was concerned with somebody following her and exposing who she truly is and that her new hsuband knew as well but her husband did get damn scary. I think the blonde BFF stole the show. Just my two cents. The Asian friend was a close 2nd.

^I thought she was black, haha.
Anyway, so are we saying the bride KNEW from the second she got the note that it was referring to her, then? I guess that would make sense, considering the amount of times she almost lost it/someone else almost saw it, as well as her alienation of her bridesmaids. |

AAA nailed this.
even more important, landis was just fucking with us here. if you can, (tivo, whatever) go back and rewatch this as a comedy as opposed to a fright-fest. dude did as many comedies as anything in his career. y'all (me too) just got punked. pwned! srsly! isn't that how they say it now days? fuck you landis. i hate you. i love you. |

I watched it twice and the episode checks out pretty damn well once you know the twist. Pretty clever little story, really. Loved it.

Oh.... I get it...
no wait, I got it 15 minutes into the episode. Zombies just aren't meant for prime time. |

Ummm I'm pretty sure that was 45 minutes of running around randomly and 15 minutes about a relationship I could care less about. I think this is the one I
liked the least, which is sad because I was expecting so much from Darren Bousman.

You could totally tell this was by the guy who did the Saw movies. He used that same spastic editing that he did in all the Saws. I like zombie stories but
this one was just blah. There wasn't enough time for an actual storyline that made you care about anyone. And the ending just made me think, who cares?
I do have to say that this has been the goriest one yet.
