Jesse is the missing link | ||
|
I read an interview on mmajunkie.com done with Matt Riddle talking about Jesse's post-TUF antics. Him, CB and a few other guys were with him those last two
crazy nights.
Riddle shared his recollections of Taylor's costly final nights in Las Vegas. "I was in the limo when [Taylor kicked out the window], and it wasn't just the window," Riddle said. "The night before, he got kicked out of another club for wrestling around all in the bathroom, out of control. "Then the following night, we went out with Rampage to PURE (nightclub), and the security didn't want to kick Jesse out because he is so big and a fighter, and the last thing they needed was this guy going crazy. So they asked me ... and a bunch of guys from the show to escort him out. When we told [Taylor] he got kicked out, he flipped out in Caesars Palace. "We were all dragging [Taylor] through the casino and trying to get him out the front door, and security was threatening to hit him up with pepper spray and Tazers because he was out of control. We finally got to the front door, and we literally couldn't find a taxi, so I had to pay for a limo. "In the limo, we are still holding him down because he was so pissed off and going crazy. Eventually, about 10 minutes into the ride, he calms down, and we get back to the Palace Station. Now, Zuffa (the UFC's parent company) owns the Palace Station, so that's why they have all the video footage. So what does JT do the second we park? (He) lies down on his back and kicks out the biggest window in the limo." The guy truly is a meathead. I bet his picture is posted at every casino and club in Vegas with "Do Not Serve" on it! |

Yeah, that guy was a lawsuit/PR nightmare waiting to happen.

What a dumbass... all that bitching about doing this for his kid and trying to make something was bullshit. Dana is spot on with the "what are you going
to do if you WERE famous" spiel. I could easily see that bitch flipping out on somebody who is egging him on to get an easy check and some publicity.

I have some great news for Rampage fans !!!!!! I have a gut feeling that Forest will win this fight. He seems hungrier and I think Rampage has a track record
of losing interest. Rampage is fantastic and I love the guy. I just think that Forest will win.
Now keep in mind I had the same gut feeling that Dan Henderson was going to beat Anderson Silva. That means Rampage should be safe, even with my lame pick |

Wow, Forrest actually beat Rampage tonight for the LHW belt! Props to the champ from TUF season 1!
I thought Matt Serra would be the limit for TUF winners, but Forrest validated the whole process since he wasn'nt a UFC retread like Serra. I'd love to see a teacher vs. student fight with Chuck Liddell vs. Forrest for the belt! |

The Ultimate Fighter = Infinitely validated now.
I'd love to see a teacher vs. student fight with Chuck Liddell vs. Forrest for the belt!If and when Chuck beats Rashad in Sept, we'll be seeing that on their late Dec show. Throw in Wanderlei/Rampage III and I'm a very happy MMA fan. |

Am I the only one who thought Rampage was robbed?

I didn't exactly think that, but I thought it could be either one of them winning and was surprised the decision was unanimous. |

I had at best 3 rounds to 2 for Forrest. I was watching with buddies and a few of them thought it was 5-0 Forrest cuz he was the aggressor and never stopped. I
had it 4-1 for Forrest, though maybe one of those maybe could have gone to Rampage. Forrest imposed his will and outworked Rampage, simple as that. Rampage
would be the first to admit his pre-fight discipline was lacking. 4 months ago he was at 250 lbs and spent over 5 months not even training. He admitted this in
his pre-fight interview and he didn't look the same as the Rampage of old. Beautiful thing though is he'll be back, lesson learned. He's too
talened to stay away from the title scenario for long. Congrats to Forrest tho, he was the better man on the night. Looking forward to seeing the people's
champ in action defending the title go-forward. I'm actually excited to see Brandon Vera dropping down to 205 finally for his next fight. He'll be
dangerous at 205lbs,
And yup, if Chuck wins we'll see those two fight and Rampage should get another date with Wanderlei or Shogun pretty soon. I think it makes the light heavyweight landscape alot more interesting with Forrest as champ in terms of possible matchups now. Was a good night of fights, Cote's decision was razor thin too, I had Almeida 29-28 but that was too close to call. Next month's card will be sick, hopefully GSP pulls out the win and Lesnar is sharper in his 2nd tilt. |

Thought overall the card was pretty boring. Cote played it safe and I lost a lot of respect for him. Nothing shows me he deserves a shot at the title. The
Rampage/ Griffin fight more than made up for the rest of the card. I think that Griffin deserved the win. I like both guys, but was pulling slightly for
Rampage. And I even had to admit that Forrest CLEARLY won the fight. I am actually glad Rampage did not get the decision because then we would be heading down
the road of boxing. In boxing the champ ALWAYS gets the benefit of the doubt and with MMA, that seems to not be happening. Cannot think of too many bad
decisions that involved a title
See you all next month Oh and I almost forgot- It was nice to FINALLY get a prediction right. I guess sooner of later one of my upsets would have been right due to law of average |

Jesse Taylor vs. CB Dollaway on UFC Fight Night on July 19th on Spike TV. Prediction: CB beats Jesse via ground and pound since CB is the more accomplished
wrestler.
Other fights: Anderson Silva vs. James Irvin is the main event. Prediction Silva by TKO via ref stoppage. Brandon Vera fights Reese Andy in one of the other feature fights. I have no clue who Reese Andy is, so I pick Vera. Frankie Edgar vs. Hermes Franca: Really good fight between 2 hard nosed guys. Edgar via better wrestling and overall stubborness. Jake O'Brien vs. Cain Velasquez: Velasquez vis better wrestling credentials. Anthony Johnson vs. Kevin Burns: Anthony Johnson absolutely destroyed Tommy Speer (TUF 6 runner-up) by knock-out on a recent Spike TV Ultimate Fight Night, but Kevin Burns submitted Roan Carneiro on a recent UFC PPV. Hard to call. I'll pick the more athletic Johnson. |

In other hilarious news, a couple of the guys got picked up for a contract.
Matt Riddle - which is a no brainer C. B - another no brainer though his record is going to look like shit in a few months Tim Credeur - he has a few years left in him Jesse Taylor - I guess his punishment was long enough Cale - Amir - Tough enough winner Wait thats right Cale, I guess they want someone to get punched in the face repeatedly, or as they call in Pro-wrestling "enhancement talent" |

Rampage got picked up again. I just read this off TMZ:
