I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like him. I think his voice is average.
He also looks like Ryan Malcolm, with hair. He's almost guaranteed Top 10/12 just because of regional voting. |

A carpenter and musician, 22-year-old Mitch is the youngest of seven children and enjoys cooking, songwriting and playing guitar. "Being a full-time musician involves a lot of hard work," Mitch says, but he's ready to rise to the challenge this summer on Canadian Idol. Mitch admires the career of fellow East Coast musician Gordie Sampson, and hopes that Canadian Idol will bring him similar successes. "Canadian Idol gives artists who may not have the funds to get their name out there and gives a huge window of opportunity for publicity Canada-wide." When it comes to his approach to becoming the next Canadian Idol, Mitch thinks it all comes down to a few simple, yet important keys to success. "Practice, sleep, water, and great song choices," he says. Like many Canadians, Mitch is a hockey fanatic and has been playing the sport his whole life. He's a dedicated Habs fan and even considers his antique woollen Montreal Canadiens jersey signed by Maurice "The Rocket" Richard to be one of his most prized possessions... besides his guitar, that is! While Mitch's travels have led him overseas to places like the Netherlands and Scotland, he still considers himself a down-to-earth Maritimer, and cherishes his hometown.. "No matter how far away a Port Hooder can get from home we all love coming back," he says. "I'm proud of where I'm from!" |

Far too many Mitch haters around here already. I may end up being his only fan, I just hope he doesn't get Derrick Hoffman'd and leaves me without one
of my main favo after week 1.

I like the guy too. His tone is the most unique in the bunch (except for Paul, whose tone drives me up a wall). I loved Monday's performance... I hope
the more obscure song choices don't doom him.

I've found the perfect song for Mitch. He sounds exactly like this guy.
(The World Aint Slowing Down by Ellis Paul) Kinda gives you an idea of what a Mitch CD would sound like doesn't it. I don't think Mitch's voice is as original as the judges make it out to be. |

Mitch and Amberly sounded fantastic singing together. They're in my Top 4 with Earl and Seb Piggy.
Earlberly is my ideal Top 2 at this point but I'd love Mitchberly too. louie how do I get me one of those avis, I want one if Earl and Amberly are ever near eachother or sing together. |

Joeyrd made it for me, in the whole fgc avatar making thread thingie.
It's sad cause as of like 3 days ago I could have made them for everyone. But my free trial of the program I was using ran out, so now i'm back to relying on other people for them again as well. |

If it's the type of free trial program that expires after a certain number of days instead of number of uses, you can try changing back the date on your
desktop clock to see if works again. That's what I do with the one I use. I'm still using the same one that expired in 2005.

Yeah as long as you don't care about the date being right on your computer you can just change the date backwards and most trials will still work.

Mitch may be trying to build a fanbase - hence his mainstream song choices.
This show is watched by tweens and I doubt they know or care who Elliott Smith is. |

He won me over last night with his song choice. Plus he seemed a lot more confident in his abilities With KKKanada you can NEVER predict this kinda thing....but I'll go out on a limb and say Mitch & Amberly F2. (Slight chance a Piggott or Theo overtakes them)

Tonight was by far my favorite of his thus far. This was the real Mitch and this is what I want to listen to from him. Though I think getting the number 1 spot
in the worst possible week imaginable is gonna do him in.
At least it will keep the streak going of my overall favo always losing at this point. |
