Cirie getting screwed out of the F3 by a production twist just killed the season for me.

It was inappropriate Goat management that screwed the season. Natalie had JASON feeding out of the Palm of her hand and decided to use that in order to boot him, instead of RIDE him into the End Game. Then the women had Erik, presumable Immunity Winner to ride. Instead they chose to screw him, which only played into Parv's hand.

WHITHER the Cirie of Exile Island, willing to ride both the TERRY and ARAS juggernauts into victory? Killing off the Goats and FORCING them to face HER in the F2???

Naaaaaaw, come on Sun - there have been LOTS of introverts on the show before, but you could still see the thought processes rolling behind their eyes. And several of the "quiet ones" have been fan favorites. In fact, it was often the fact that we could see the thought processes rolling behind their eyes, while their mouths stayed closed, that made them fan favorites.

Well, my POINT being that the GAME is favored towards Extroverts over Introverts. Because MB RIGS the game with NUMBERS towards Extroverts. Because he wants CONFLICT, which big Egos provide. Which puts great Introvert players at a Disadvantage.

You look at Introvert Winners of Survivor, you have VEE, the deepest in the woods player ever to win. And YUL, the Camp Counselor who had Ozzy and Becky, both fellow Introverts to beat. And CLEARLY beat them on the SOCIAL game. Parv's win makes me RESPECT YUL all the more, an Introvert that can QUIETLY control the Game.

Parv's win reminds me most of all of Jun, in Big Brother 4, who everyone pretty much HATED, but she got everyone to play STUPID into HER hands. Pretty much without any skills of her OWN.

I disagree--it is a pretty big skill to get someone to do something against his or her own self interest, and in this case I don't think that Parvati did it on her own. She got lots and lots of help from the other women at strategic points in the game. I think this F2 was Amanda's to lose, and since she didn't have a chance to learn from her mistakes in China before she was off to Micronesia, she was doomed to repeat herself. So not so much a Parvati win, but an Amanda loss. And, as others have noted before, Cerie was screwed totally out of a chance to sway the jury in her favor.

But all in all, I enjoyed this season more than I can remember enjoying Survivor since about Marquesas.

I enjoyed the second half (merge and on) a lot. The first half was a lot of wasted time.

It's still very very unfortunate that Jonathan went out by injury. It probably would have been a less entertaining game with him in longer, we almost certainly wouldn't have seen Erik's blunder, but I think it would have been more interesting.

What utter bullshit. I don't mind twists and swaps, but the fundamentals should be known beforehand. The castaways should know the basics - final 2 or 3, how many jurors, and how deadlock ties are resolved, so they can scheme and plot adequately. My other pet peeves is that all votes should be read, even "extra" ones after a majority. No one should be "hidden" and protected by MB/JP, especially when those previous votes counted towards getting booted. Well, they are all in the same boat, equal footing with regards to plotting. Actually, that's not entirely true. They are all told (or not told) the same things, but recruits will have less prior knowledge than long-time fans. That doesn't necessarily give them a disadvantage. China's Courtney came in second place as a recruit vs. Leslie's (major fan) as an early boot. The whole purpose of "twists" is to keep them on their toes, otherwise, it becomes too predictable, which is boring TV. The verb "pagonging" was created after only one season. Africa's tribal swap was created to help prevent pagonging's, which are boring. Ever since, not knowing exactly when, how, who or how many will (or will not) be switched effects the outcome in unpredictable ways. The Outcast twist, while sucky, still helped in having the castaways, perhaps, think twice about who and how to vote someone out, because they could be back at any time. The fake merge, that screwed Shii Ann, taught them not to assume. Brad making the Jury before the merge, did the same. Ditto for the mutiny. The quitters and medivacs effected the game in ways that would have been unpredictable to SEG, from the get-go. The players just had to adapt. If JFP and Jonathan hadn't left when they did, I'm not sure the outcome would have been the same. Oh, and the F3 to F2 was not planned. Also, I gather that two double-boots episodes were planned for Micronesia, and didn't happen because of Jonathan's and Kathy's medivacs. Adaptability is a huge factor in this game. Inevitably, those who learn to cover their bases, will do better. Cirie getting screwed out of the F3 by a production twist just killed the season for me. It wasn't a production twist. James left and they were left one short of a TC episode. They couldn't go into the Final 4 two hour Finale with one RC and one IC and only one TC. That's just a one hour show. She was lucky that they were stupid enough to bring her to the F3 to begin with. Natalie would have been a lot easier to face in an F3, imho.

China had a F4 RC and IC and 2 TCs in the hour. So it was production's decision to change it to a F2 that fucked her.

In the Final Five Episode, every OTHER member in the Final Four PROVED their game over Parv:

• AMANDA, for working Erik over like Sam Waterston in Tribal Council, getting him to CONFESS the BULLSHIT of his game.
• CIRIE, for not only organizing the OZZY boot, (with which Parv only RELUCTANTLY agreed) but for concocting the plan for Erik to give up the HII.
• NATALIE, for not only playing DOG-BOY, Jason, LIKE A FIDDLE, but after DOING SO, got Erik to make an even WORSE play, through her Snaky Powers of Persuasion.

EACH of them proved themselves better Winners than Parv, and her, "Tee Hee! I'm so EVIL! *snicker* strategy to a million dollars.

heh - kinda funny. Going into the finale, I told people I'd be okay with even Natalie winning....just so long as it wasn't Amanda who won

Hey - I never claimed to be president of the Whore-ati For-Evah fan club, nor have I ever expressed a "I think she's thuper-duper and thwell and I wanna be just like her" sentiment about her. In my dreams, I yearn for a F5 of Yau, Penner, Ami, Eliza and Cirie

But faced with the reality of a Whore-ati/Aman-duh F2...I can more easily reconcile in my head, a flirty bitch who at least kept her head in the game and her focus on reaching the end - than a bubble-headed, wishy-washy dunderhead who was more interested in being a role-model to future "Thuh Iraq" pageant contestants, and making twue-wuv snoogy-oogums with one of the most over-rated dumb-f**cks to ever play the game

My choice was "who is the least objectionable?"

Parvati won because she was so well-liked. Alexis and Natalie were unwaveringly loyal to her even after she voted them out. Amanda was completely devoted to her and was the only reason Amanda had any affiliation with the women's alliance. Parvati was the entire driving force behind both dominating alliances (the couples and the women's alliance).

I still think she blew one key answer...to Cirie, which may have cost her Cirie, but certianly cost her Eliza. That was enough...IMO both were worthy, both played hard. Cirie like Rob C, had no way to get her to the Finale. Too bad, so sad

Amanda was way better than China. As is, she won about $180,000 on a game show and has had some action off of it. Not a bad return for one year.

Meanwhile Gabon is on with reports of no HI and no EI, "back to S1 feel" and hopefully a F2.

It'll be interesting to see if they go back to an F2, since MB loves the F3. I'd be surprised, but at the very least, the players won't know! :)

I hope it goes back to being like Season One. That would be great. I hope it stays a final 2. I just like it better that way, I'm not sure why. To tell the truth, it really hasn't made a difference in any of the seasons that used it.
