I certainly wouldn't have called us friends, but we were friendly. We hated each other, well actually I HATED him at the Vanuatu finale, but then we met at Cocoa beach the previous summer and kind of made up in a way. I found him to be somewhat tolerable to be around and actually pretty funny. So that's what I mean by "friendly."

I also thought I would bond with Jonathan and Yau-Man and was already friendly with Fairplay. That's how I was counting the numbers. I saw the Parv/Ozzy and Amanda/James foursome coming before the game even began. "Before the game even began." Do you mean when you were doing Survival training as a group and not allowed to speak? Did you see Parv flirting or non-verbally communicating with Ozzy, James, and Cirie? I'm sure she was thinking about getting the numbers as much as you. IGN: What caused such a big rivalry between you and Eliza? Parvati: Oh god, Eliza! [Laughs] You know, Eliza I knew was trying to vote me out from day 1. And I was trying to vote her out from day 1, because the second we step on that beach at Malakal, Eliza comes up to me and goes, "I heard you and Ozzy are dating. That's a huge threat. I think there's a huge target on your back." I was like, "Excuse me? Do I know you? A, Ozzy and I are not dating. We're friends and we're never dating, okay? And B, who are you?!" [Laughs] "Go away!" So she kind of put her foot in her mouth and got on my bad side on the first day, but honestly, I love Eliza! I really do. And I think we worked so well at challenges together that if Eliza and I could have just worked together in the game, it could have been the two of us to the end, because she was just so good in challenges, you know? And I give her a lot of respect, because she fought to the bitter, bitter end. But I like her a lot now. I think she's a great person. So you decided she was a target and not a potential ally before that first conversation? Ha, I guess you and Ozzy both thought Parv was closer and more loyal to him than she actually was.

I asked the two girls a number of questions, including: "As you may or may not know, I'm extremely politically active and something I think is very important is being socially aware. Therefore, please name ANY three candidates running for President of the US right now." (At the time there were at least 15 to choose from). Neither could do it. HAHAHAHA So, this begs the question--if Amanda HAD been able to name three, would she have gotten your vote?

Posts: 13360 (06/25/08 1:03 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I recently read a Myspace blog by Leslie from China which got me wondering about how many Survivor conncections and rivalries are made before the players are even allowed to speak: "This week marks one year ago exactly that we left for China. I thought I'd share what we were doing on this date, one year ago (I can't share many production details, but I can share my feelings and thoughts). Hope you enjoy it...I think I had a pretty keen sense of the people I was with before we even met!! LOL..." June 19, 2007 I'll call it waves. It's that sinking feeling of "what the heck am I doing?!" that comes over me. One thing I've realized is that it is short-lived. I always seem to come out of it and when I do I'm always so glad I didn't make a decision during my "wave"! If I can recognize that feeling, I suppose maybe I can prepare and know it will pass eventually if it comes again. I slept well again. I did wake up at 3am ready to go (It was 3pm for me!) but I prayed and asked the Lord for more rest. I slept until 4:30 and decided to getup. For a moment I thought it was 5:30 because my I-pod said it's 13 hours ahead in Beijing but it's only 12 apparently and I'm now sitting here in the lobby waiting for everyone else to arrive, 1 hour early. All of a sudden, journaling is becoming a familiar friend. Speaking of familiar friends - I really seem to click with one of the younger girls here. I don't know her name, but she seems very genuine. I actually saw her first in the finals in LA. We still haven't spoken, of course, but I suppose we'll see what happens... (note - this "younger girl I clicked with" was Jaime!) Later that day at the train station... We've been through a pretty long day! We began with a flight from Beijing to Shanghai and now we're waiting to take a train to location. We're all exhausted physically and I can tell everyone is still mentally checking everyone else out. I actually see a love connection between the young blonde girl I mentioned earlier and curly haired adorable cute guy. (note - Jaime and Erik! LOL) Don't ask how I know - I just do. I also think the thin blonde girl has a thing for hip-hop boy. Just a guess. (note - Courtney and Frosti) Tall guy believes he is going to win - I can tell. He's pretty cocky. Hope to vote him out first if I can. (note - Jean-Robert!) I just think attitude is everything and he's a rule breaker and a trouble maker I can tell. I am excited about this journey. Today got me more excited because they had us shoot the opening scene. There has been no other Survivor opening like it- it's going to be very cool!

ELIZA------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did you already know Parv, Eliza?? Was there rivalry before you guys ever realized you'd be playing together?? Also-KB said she had a weird feeling when there were only 10 players that they might be playing against all stars...it being the 16th season and all...did you feel the same or just assume they were keeping the ALL Stars separate? And were you disappointed when it wasn't? Hoping it was an ASS2?

As soon as I saw I was only on the plane with 10 people, I KNEW we were playing against non-all stars. I didn't know it would be "fans" but a lot of them weren't anyhow, so my instincts were right on. We played against LA mactors and a few interesting characters. I was disappointed that it was not all-stars. I wanted to be CALLED an all-star more than I cared who I played against. I also wanted more of my friends to be there. :) Michelle Yi, Coby, etc. I was REALLY hoping to see some more friendly faces.

I am an old (compared to most people here) hippy, and love Survivor. Most of my friends hate it (or haven't watched it since the first season...the only season I missed, but have seen on DVD). I am a seriosly involved Obama supporter with a poly sci degree. I'm always amazed there are so many in this country who are freaking oblivious to politics and what makes differences in people's lives. No wonder we have had to suffer through two Bush Administrations...can it PLEASE be over soon? Who have been your favorite players down through the years as a fan of the show? Posts: 1251 (06/26/08 12:26 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	No doubt...if I were you (Lizey) I would've been disappointed too...but you were one of a whopping TEN people chosen and you were also called a Favorite...which is pretty cool...I was hoping to see the people you were hoping for too, I'm sure...you, Ami, Penner, Cirie, Yau, even JFP were all great choices and people I actually considered faves but I was dying to see some other players return that probably never will now...Twila, Coby, Judd, Shane, the Courtneys...it sucks...the fans who were cast could have actually at LEAST been fans...it sucked as it was, enough, without having a group of wannabe actors and models pose as fans and destroy the whole premise of the season...still if I were you I would've been so honored and excited to have had the chance to play with some of them...the ones I listed...and as far as I'm concerned you ARE an all star! Always have been...Amanda could not be LESS of an all star OR a favorite...it's ridiculous...and actually I felt the same way about Parv but she redeemed herself this time and really played a good game in my opinion...as much as everyone loves him I wanted to puke over the James choice too...suppose he was the only player they could match next to Fuckwaffle tho...
