Fire the audio guys IMMEDIATELY. I couldn't hear SHIT. They've been doing this for 6 years now...you'd think they'd know how to mix audio so
that the TV audience can actually understand what the hell the performers are singing. These opinions are probably severely skewed because of it.
Lindsay - Shit. Her voice has no power whatsoever. Martin - I didn't hate it, I didn't love it either. That canadian accent...or rather, lack of british accent, was fucking brilliant. Gary - Token rocker dude? I'd rather not root for this guy if I can help it...he seems like an arrogant prick. Tetiana - She's hot...and actually pretty decent. Mitch - No power in this guy's voice either. Forgettable performance. Paul - He earns major points for singing one of my favorite songs EVER. But, as is typical when somebody sings a song I really like, I'm severely let down. This was no different. He should definitely stay though on his song choice alone. Earl - One word...EARLOWNAGE! Lisa - Can't blame DC for liking this chick. I thought she was pretty good. Mookie - Yes. Mookieownage. Now there's a voice with power. Drew - Fodder. Oliver - He is way too fucking good for this show. Like, seriously. Katherine - What the fuck? Were the judges on crack for this one? She was nowhere near as good as they made it out to be. Should be fodder. |

You can't win with the judges. If you do your schtick all the time they say you need to change, if you change they say you need to be who you are. Just
judge the fucking performance and not who you think the fucking person is.
I missed the first half hour but Oliver, Earl, and Mookie were the only ones that I didn't want to change the channel at some point. Oliver as a person was a bit of a let down after he sang though....very awkward. |

Lisa just finished singing here, I keep forgetting I can watch the earlier feed.
I liked all of the guys and none of the girls so far, but I think like 4 girls total are performing tonight. So far for me I enjoyed all the guys but Earl especially. Earl is still my favourite male. I hope Amberly performs tonight too so I can see them both. Mitch was my 2nd favourite, Gavin DeGraw is amazing and I thought he did very well on "Follow Through." Lisa sang fucking "Long Train Running," such a fucking karaoke song. It was okay, but yeah, it's like the karaoke song. \ Now I'm waiting for Mookie ownage. We just learned about his name. Apparently some baseball dude called Mookie hit a game winning run the second he was born and thus he was named Mookie. 1 second into Mookie's performance and it's totally Mookieownage. EARLMOOKIEOWNAGING! Oh and Jessica looks really fat, wtf? |

Earl, and to a certain extent Mookie, are in a league of their own tonight. Hopefully some of the other performances can be chalked up to nerves and Week 2
will be better for those affected.

Jake was right, Gary has a much better voice than that. I'm not sure why he chose to do that song. He could have shown artistry and his vocals with a
different song.
Oliver is amazing. I hate the "so and so is too good for this show" stuff. I hope no one thinks they're too good for the show because fact is none of these people got a record deal on their own and this is their opportunity. (Arguably) it's a talent competition and they're all there to show talent. The best ones are the best ones, they're not "too good" for the show unless they can walk off the show and get signed by a major label. |
