That was back when the sextuplets were infants, LONG before they ever did any of the specials, much less the weekly show. They'd been born premature and she did have a state-funded nurse their first year. They appealed (or soemthing) the state taking their nurse away after that. I'm not sure of all the exact deteals, but I do know it was back when the 'tups were preemie infants. Jon had been let go from his job 7 months before they were born because his company did not want to insure his growing family. THAT is who they should have gone after, IMHO. What a crappy thing to do to a guy with 3 YO twins and 'tups on the way.  They had no medical coverage when the 'tups were born - hence the state aid.

My sister introduced me to this show about a week ago and I absolutely love it. I haven't seen many of the episodes yet but I like the little boy with the
glasses the best. Can't think of what his name is right now. Anyway just wanted to come in here and show my love for this show.

Thanks for that info. I didn't know that. Can a company really do that? That doesn't seem like an acceptable or legal reason to terminate someone's employment. Let me say when they showed that video of Kate saying she had just fed all eight kids breakfast by herself and was getting ready for baths I was having a panic attack. No way could I take care of all those kids. I give them lots of credit. They're lucky they had the kids when they were young and didn't wait until they were in their 40's to try fertility treatments. |

I'm quickly becoming addicted to this show. Alexis is my favorite kid - she's just too cute for words. And I love the dynamic between Jon and Kate.
At least three times an episode we crack up at Jon's nonverbal reaction to something Kate is saying. And while she's kind of bossy and anal (although
I think you'd have to be in her position) she has a good sense of humor too, like when Jon makes fun of her and she just agrees with him.

The Disney Episode is Really Classic of JAKP8. Their very 1st ride was Dumbo and I remember Aaden calling himself Dumbo and Collin didn't want to get off the ride. This year, I'm going to Disney and when I'm in the car, me and my sister will pretend to be Aaden and Leah saying "We're going to go see Goofy" and many others that they said!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! |

okay the boys were hilarious. I loved jon and collins exchange about being dirty. I loved the "your mothers brainwashed you into thinking you have to be
clean" line. I have a feeling collin might be like mady in a year or two, he seems like he gets upset easily lol.

The kids are so friggin adorable. Poor Kate, that stomach was 52 inches around, she couldn't even stand at the end, her feet would turn blue or something.

I liked the valentine's day episode today. Most parents don't make such a big deal about that holiday. I think Kate, in her own way, is trying to
really instill a family togetherness that is obviously lacking from her upbringing.
Did you guys find the men putting the boys' potties outside hilarious? Men find a no nonsense practical way to deal with issues. I loved it. |

Collin has been my favorite since watching the show and he had some great lines last night, especially him telling Jon he was holding his big stick at the
sporting goods store
I missed having no Mady in last nights episode though, no Mady = no fun. |
