Anyway, I am now addicted. I think John is absolutely adorable. After reading this thread I thought I would dislike Kate, but I really do like her. She definitely wears the pants in the relationship, but I think they are cute together. And 100% agreeance on Joel being gay.

Aunt Jodi rocks. I'd rather watch her with the kids than Kate. And it seems like the problem isn't her as she lives near and speaks with her brother. She also speaks to her sister Kendra, although I don't think we've seen her on the show yet. We've seen Kendra's husband in that ep in which he helped Jon paint that room pink.

That made me think joel may be gay but then again he was only 3 at the time. Jon has said that joel has a lisp in the past hes even mimicked it but i have yet to here it. There are alot of scenes and parts of episodes on youtube, some compilations of each of the kids. The compilation of joel has him talking quiet a bit and i still cant here a lisp lol.

There is obviously more going on there if both her and her brother don't have much contact with them and Kate doesn't want to talk about it. I just assume there's a good reason for it.

In any event, it's kind of weird that none of the living grandparents on either side (at least now) have anything to do with such a big family. What are the chances of that?

They are all so cute though - I love the way Alexis talks. Love/hate Kate. I do get her sense of humor which I think doesn't always go over that well. But sometimes I just want to smack her - like at the Crayola Factory when she wouldn't let the kids use markers and glue. Ridiculous! Can't wait to see what she's like at the pottery painting place. I love Jon. I think he's a very good dad, he's very loving and affectionate with his kids. He does everything for them. I wish Kate would ease up on him a bit, it makes me cringe the way she treats and speaks to him at times. I do think they are a good match in many ways, sometimes they just need to STFU and stop screaming. The kids scream because their parents do. And they use Time Out with the kids all wrong, I wish I could visit and show they how to have a Quiet Seat AND a Naughty Seat and how to use both. (Quiet Seat for meltdowns/tantrums and Naughty Seat for misbehaving.) They send the kids to time out mostly for tantrums - they need to send them there for hitting, kicking, pushing and biting each other. Oh and those kids are walking advertisements for Juicy Juice and Gymboree clothing. You can bet they get loads of freebies from those 2 companies. The girls wore the Gymbo line "cute as a cupcake" all winter long. And they had dresses from "lady daisy" when they were on the Today Show last week.

I don't watch this show too often, but lord, when they visited the Crayola factory is when I officially began to not care for Kate. It just annoyed me so much. I understand where she was coming from with not wanting to clean all the stains out of their clothes (but I don't even think that Crayola markers stain), but really, you were in a Crayola factory, what did she expect?

And Jon is so laid back, if she wasn't organized, it would be total chaos. When they met he seemed like kind of a slacker, boy, has he changed. And if they are getting money from TLC, good for them. I couldn't believe their house when I first started watching, it's just a normal house. They didn't get a free 5,000 square foot house like the McCaugheys, or all the other crap that woman seemed to think they deserved. Kate and Jon seem a lot more normal than the McCaugheys or that family with 18 kids.

I did hear about Kate (saw in some article) complaining that the state was taking away her nurse that she uses as a nanny. I find that funny, since they are doing the show and have to be making some $$$ off of it - unless they are just putting it all up for their college. Oh and the hair transplant one. I could not watch because it was so gross... but did he cover up the bald spot in the back of his head? I saw the front part (some of it) but didn't finish watching.
