The funny thing is his versatility also allowed him to appeal to TPTB and he was smart enough to throw in the Music of The Night performance which appealed to those who don't appreciate his style. I have co-workers who did not watch AI but have come to like Cook after seeing him make the rounds on the talk shows. Because he comes off as a funny, self-effacing, down-to-earth guy who's humbled by his success and grateful for every bit of it, especially after toiling in Tulsa bars and sometimes playing to crowds of five or six. He's easy to root for.

Hell, I've seen pictures like these from my little brother's college days and well, now. Maybe Cook himself would be embarrassed if he finds out they're plastered all over the internet. I'm guessing he'll now add "Kill my friends" to his to-do list and that's the end of that?
