Malakal Tribe - Night 16

<An eerie music plays, as the infrared camera shows a fast-forwarded view of the dark night sky, and then fades into a clip of a rotting coconut on the beach, as several rats pick at it. The camera then turns to show the eight Malakal members walking back into their camp>

Brooke: That was quite the betrayal… <Sherea can now be seen setting her torch down>

Sherea: <to Brooke> Told you we should have thrown that one challenge… <Another close-up view of Brooke is shown, as the camera continues to focus on her>

Ian - CONFESSIONAL: Coming back from Tribal Council is, uh, always a two-sided sword. You know, you're happy because you're still in the game, <A wide view of several Malakal members is now shown> but you kinda get that unsettled feeling in your stomach because you know that somebody else probably got taken by surprise with the vote and you don't know how well they're gonna handle it… <The infrared camera goes back to Sherea>

Sherea: <to Brooke> We should have known somethin' was up, you know, with all that quiet talk goin' on… <Brooke is now shown subtly nodding her head>

Brooke - CONFESSIONAL: Since the mix-up and since the switch of tribes, um, the Favorites had talked about sticking together, as well as the women, <Quick views of the Malakal women are shown> but tonight at Tribal Council, Alexis, Mary, and Aras all broke those alliances and Ami went home, <The infrared camera shows the tribe's fire flickering, before scrolling over to Kathy> so that was definitely a hard hit for the women… <The camera shows a clip of several castaways gathered around the fire, before zooming back in on Brooke>

Brooke: <to Aras> I'm not upset, but I mean, I know it was a strategic move on your part; <A quick clip of both Ian and Alexis is shown> I just think it was totally dumb though… <A defensive Aras is then shown looking up>

Aras: <to Brooke> Hold on; you're calling me stupid now? <Brooke can be heard saying something inaudible> I voted with the majority, so… <The infrared camera then abruptly switches angles to show Brooke and Sherea again>

Brooke - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Aras is interesting. He thinks "here, now." <Aras is now shown, as he continues to speak> You know, he definitely doesn't think one step down the road or two steps down the road; <short pause> um, he doesn't look that far, and that's fine. <Brooke is then shown again> If that's how he wants to play, game on! <laughs> Not only will I fight him, but I will win… <Another close-up view of Aras is now shown next>

Aras: You know what? You both had my word 100% until I found out that I was gonna be next after Joel, <An uneasy Mary is now shown turning towards Aras> so for me, when you went back on that word, there was no more alliance… <Brooke is shown making a confused face>

Brooke: <to Aras> How did we break the alliance?! <The camera then goes back to Sherea>

Sherea: <talking loudly> We voted for Joel! <A rapid view of an uncomfortable Joel is shown, as he stares ahead> You know, that's what you don't understand! <Another view of Aras is then shown, as the camera focuses back in on him>

Aras: By you changing your story and telling me one thing and telling Mary and Alexis that I was next, <The camera zooms in on Mary, as she nods her head dramatically> that's a pretty obvious case of breaking an alliance… <Brooke is now shown>

Brooke: Aras, we told you that we were voting for Joel and we did… <Sherea then interjects>

Sherea: <to Aras> Why would you listen to them anyway instead of comin' to one of us?! <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera shows both Mary and Aras>

Aras: Don't stand there and tell me that you were never gonna write my name down, <Brooke can be heard saying "We weren't!"> cause what you're doing right now is you're insulting my intelligence, <Another infrared view of Sherea is shown, as she tenses her expression> and you're calling those girls both liars. <Alexis, Brooke, and Sherea are then shown next>

Brooke: <to Aras> It's obviously to their advantage to throw us under the bus… <Aras is shown shaking his head, as the infrared camera focuses back in on him>

Aras: Don't, don't go there… <There is an eerie shift in the music, as the camera zooms out to show a wide view of the entire Malakal tribe gathered around the fire>

Aras - CONFESSIONAL: In voting out Ami, I may have put a target on my back with Brooke and Sherea, <Another view of Brooke and Sherea is shown> and I felt bad for them up to a certain point; <short pause> you know, until they started attacking me and telling me that they weren't gonna break the alliance… <The infrared camera now shows Mary>

Mary: <to Brooke> You're just sticking to the story that you want to believe, and you don't even want to listen to Aras. <Aras is then shown again, as he begins to say something>

Aras - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> You know, I made my decision, Ami's gone, and it's now up to everyone else to learn to live with it or not because that's out of my control. <The camera scrolls across several castaways, and then focuses back in on Sherea>

Sherea: I hold to my word, you know? At least I didn't go behind nobody's back… <The infrared camera now switches angles to show another view of Aras>

Aras: <to Sherea> I don't feel like I went behind anybody's back. <A stern-looking Sherea is then shown again> As far as I'm concerned, it was public knowledge that I was probably gonna vote Ami out. <The camera turns back to Aras again>

Aras - CONFESSIONAL: It is definitely a drag that Brooke and Sherea are being really sour about it. <Sherea can be heard saying something inaudible> You know, I do have compassion for them because I've been in their shoes and it's not a fun place to be, <The infrared camera switches angles to show Joel tending to the fire> so I'm certainly not gonna make them feel excluded, but <pause> I mean, they need to get over it because they're ruining my night at this point <laughs> and they're making it that much easier to just vote them out next. <There is a prominent sound, as another view of Sherea is shown>

Sherea: <to Aras> If you [inaudible], you're not gonna like what happens next. Believe that…

Aras: Then I am asking for you to accept my apology. <Brooke is now shown with a thoughtful look on her face> I apologize sincerely; <short pause> I don't apologize for voting Ami out, but I am sorry it didn't work out for you and that it weakened your positions. <Alexis is shown>

Alexis: <to Brooke and Sherea> We want you to work with us so we can work with you. <The infrared camera then scrolls back over to Aras again>

Aras: Every day is a new day, and this tribe will be a new team tomorrow… <Kathy is then shown, as a comical sound is heard>

Kathy: Good; can we go to bed now? I'm, like, dozing off. <laughs> I have to go to sleep…

Aras: <to Kathy> Yeah. <There is a prominent drumbeat, as the camera shows a close-up view of a pensive Mary and then focuses in on the tribe's flickering fire. The screen fades out>

Malakal Tribe - Day 17

<'Floating' plays, as the camera shows a view of the tops of several palm trees and then scrolls down to the Malakal tribe's flag. A wide view of the early morning sky is then shown, as the sun begins to rise over the calm ocean. The camera now turns to show Mary walking over to Alexis and Aras, who are standing on the beach together>

Mary: <to Aras> I want to learn some yoga from you… <Aras is then shown smiling>

Aras: <to Mary> You want to learn yoga? <An excited Mary can be heard saying "Yeah, teach me something," before the camera switches angles to show a watchful Joel>

Joel - CONFESSIONAL: Aras definitely has the hots for Mary, you know, and vice versa. <A close-up view of both Aras and Mary smiling and laughing is shown> At this point, I don't see that relationship/alliance, whatever it is, posing a threat to my ultimate survival out here. <The camera focuses back in on Joel, as he haphazardly chops into a coconut and narrowly misses his hand> Maybe after the merge that alliance could grow, and become more of an obstacle, but <pause> in my mind, it's first and foremost a numbers game and it's a voters game, <A clip of Mary, Aras, and Alexis stretching on the beach is shown> they're in my larger alliance with Alexis and with Ian and with Kathy, <The camera shows quick views of Joel's Malakal alliance members> so right now, I've got the numbers. <A mysterious music begins to play, as the camera turns back to Mary, Alexis, and Aras, who are still doing yoga on the beach>

Aras: Alright; I want you to focus every muscle in your feet. <The camera zooms in on Alexis, and shows her for a few seconds> They're relaxed. Okay, now your legs, your waist, <A view of Mary is then shown, as the camera scrolls up to her face> back, arms, all the way up to your neck; <short pause> they're all relaxed. <Mary is shown again, as she listens intently>

Mary: <to Aras> Okay… <The camera now continues to focus on Mary>

Mary - CONFESSIONAL: I think the strategy to vote out Ami was brilliant. <The camera abruptly cuts ahead to show Brooke and Sherea wallowing in the shelter> You know, you always want to be highest on the food chain in your tribe. <Joel is then shown eating a piece of coconut> Having a majority is key in this game. Alliances are everything, and <short pause> I really feel like I'm developing a relationship with Aras. <Aras is now shown next>

Aras: So all of your muscles are just dead weight now. <The camera zooms out to show a wide view of the three Malakal members> Okay, now breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. <Another close-up view of a calm Mary is shown, as she exhales>

Mary - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Um, I'm developing real genuine feelings for him; you know, we're alike in so many ways… <Aras is now shown again>

Aras: <to Mary> Squeeze your shoulder blades together. <Mary and Alexis are both shown again> Now hold that position there. <A rapid view of Aras is shown next> Take a few more deep breaths. Okay, exhale. <The camera switches angles to show Alexis again>

Alexis: <to Aras> I can feel that pull in my arms… <Aras can be heard saying something inaudible, as the camera scrolls back over to Mary, who continues to stretch>

Mary - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Alexis really is a great girl. She's a sweet southern belle. <Aras can be heard saying "Deep breaths," as Alexis inhales> Ian, <short pause> Ian, I'm also really impressed with. <Ian is shown carrying a fishing net out into the shallow ocean waters> He's definitely a worker. <The camera cuts ahead to show Ian carrying a bundle of firewood> He wants to be all he can be, and offer something valuable to the tribe and to the world, so I think we might as well align with people who we're going to enjoy being with for 39 days, <laughs> and I hope that's my four. <laughs> I really hope it is… <The music now changes to a softer and more upbeat tune, as the camera switches angles to show Mary, Alexis, and Aras talking in the shallow ocean waters>

Alexis: <to Aras> We were thinking you, me, Mary, and Ian for the Final Four… <A close-up of Aras is shown, as he subtly nods his head in agreement>

Aras: Yeah. <The camera then scrolls back over to both Mary and Alexis>

Alexis: <to Aras> Do you think that'd be good? <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera abruptly cuts back to Joel and Kathy, who are standing by the fire>

Kathy: <to Joel> Look. He's nodding to whatever she's saying… <Aras is then shown again, as the camera returns back to the three Malakal members>

Aras: <to Aras> Yeah; the only thing is I have a prior commitment with Terry, <Mary is shown with a contemplative look on her face> but if we can possibly bring him in as five… <The camera now shows Alexis looking up>

Alexis: <to Aras> Before Joel or, uh, Kathy? <Another view of Aras is shown next>

Aras: Yeah, and believe me, he would be fifth out; <short pause> before any of us… <The camera then focuses back in on Alexis, as she subtly nods her head>

Alexis: <whispering> This is the thing: <short pause> if we can rely on the four of us, we could probably keep individual Immunity within our group, <Mary now says "Right," as Alexis points to Mary and then Aras> and just downplay this alliance right here; <Aras is then shown again> know what I mean? <The camera scrolls back over to Alexis again>

Alexis - CONFESSIONAL: I think, right now, the game's really starting to pick up. <A wide view of several other Malakal members is shown> Alliances are starting to become even more important as we get closer to what we think is a merge, <The camera now focuses back in on Alexis> and <pause> Mary and I definitely feel like we have the numbers on our side between the other Fans, and Aras and Ian. <The camera zooms out to show Alexis, Mary, and Aras>

Alexis: I'm loyal to you guys… <A close-up view of Mary is now shown next>

Reward Challenge - Money Movers

<A dramatic music plays, as the camera shows an overhead view of the beach, where several large stone money pieces can be seen stacked on three raised platforms. The camera shows a close-up view of two of Airai's orange money stones, and then cuts ahead to show Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <talking loudly> Come on in, Airai! <The camera abruptly switches angles to show the five Airai members walking in to the challenge area. A close-up view of Mikey is shown, as he carries the orange challenge flag. The camera focuses on him for a few seconds, and then zooms out to show all five Airai members gathering in a group on their orange mat>

Jeff Probst: <talking loudly> Malakal, come on in! <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera turns to show the eight Malakal members walking up the beach>

Jeff Probst: Both tribes getting your first look at the other tribe: <The camera now shows a close-up view of Jason, as he turns towards the Malakal members. Sherea, Brooke, and Ian are shown, before the camera zooms out to show a wide view of both tribes> Ruth Marie voted out of Airai; <The Malakal tribe can now be seen assembling on their purple mat> Ami voted out at Malakal's Tribal Council. <A stunned Eliza is now shown, as her jaw drops. The camera shows a close-up view of a smirking Terry, and then turns to Aras, who is staring into the distance. Jeff is now shown again>

Jeff Probst: You guys ready to get to today's challenge? <Another view of all five Airai members is shown, as the castaways nod their heads>

Mikey: Yeah… <The camera then switches angles to show Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: For today's challenge, we're gonna test your ability to work together to solve a puzzle that appears very simple in concept, <An aerial view of both tribes' stacks of stone money pieces is now shown> but is a lot harder than it looks. <Sherea is then shown with a thoughtful expression on her face> Each tribe has six stone money pieces of varying size and weight: <short pause> from 5 pounds up to 30 pounds. <The camera now scrolls around Malakal's stone money pieces> Each tribe also has three platforms. <A wide view of the Airai tribe's three platforms is then shown next> Moving one piece at a time, you will transfer your money stones from platform 1 to platform 3, <The camera shows a clip of five castaways carrying the largest stone money piece across the beach> using all three platforms to solve the puzzle. <The castaways can now be seen setting the money stone down onto an empty platform> In addition, you can never have a larger piece on top of a smaller piece. <Brooke can be seen nodding her head knowingly, as she whispers "Okay"> Finally, all five of your tribe members must be inside the white ring before you can move on to the next platform. <An aerial view of one of Malakal's platforms is shown, as a white ring around it is highlighted> First tribe to correctly transfer all six money stones to platform 3 wins Reward. <The camera shows a quick view of Mikey, Jason, and Terry, and then returns to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Wanna know what you're playing for? <Another wide view of both tribes is shown, before the camera zooms in on Kathy, who nods her head>

Kathy: Yes. <Another close-up view of Jeff is then shown next>

Jeff Probst: The winning tribe will be taken to a nearby island that is home to a nice, relaxing Coffee House… <The camera abruptly switches angles to show a smiling Kathy>

Kathy: <excitedly> Oh my God! I love coffee! <laughs> <Jeff is then shown looking amused>

Jeff Probst: You'll have coffee, muffins, and danishes. <The camera now scrolls across the Airai members> In addition, you'll have access to a bath, showers; <Mary is then shown smiling and nodding her head, as she says "Oh my God"> a chance to get clean: <Jeff can now be seen removing the cover from a basket of toiletries> plenty of soap, towels, toothbrushes, and toothpaste; <The camera continues to focus on the Reward basket> got some Oil of Olay shampoo. <A close-up view of Sherea is shown next> Whatever you don't use, you'll take back to camp with you. <A clip of both Jason and Mikey is shown, before the camera goes back to Jeff again> Finally, the winning tribe will send one member from the losing tribe to Exile Island. <Tracy can be seen raising her eyebrows> That person will also choose somebody, again, from the winning tribe to join them. <The camera shows a wide view of all eight Malakal members, and then scrolls back over to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Worth playin' for? <The camera now cuts back to Jason, as he nods his head>

Jason: Of course! <A rapid view of Tracy is shown. The camera then returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Malakal, <short pause> because you have three extra members, <A wide view of the eight Malakal members is now shown> you're sitting three people out, <Ian can be seen nodding his head knowingly> keeping in mind you cannot sit out the same people in back-to-back challenge. <Another view of the entire Malakal tribe is shown, as indistinct conversation can be heard. The camera then zooms in on Ian, who is talking to his tribemates>

Ian: <whispering> Who wants to take part? <A close-up view of Joel is then shown next>

Joel: It's physical strength… <Brooke can be heard saying something inaudible, as the camera focuses in on Kathy>

Kathy: <to Joel> It's physical strength, but it's not all muscle. There's brains in it too…<The camera shows Alexis whispering something to Aras, and then cuts back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Who are the three people sitting out? <Joel is now shown again>

Joel: Mary, Aras, and Alexis are sitting out… <Rapid clips of the three Malakal members are shown, before the camera switches angles to show another view of Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Alexis, Aras, and Mary sittin' this one out. <The three castaways can be seen walking out of sight, before the camera returns to Jeff> Give everybody else a minute to strategize; <short pause> we'll get started… <An aerial view of the challenge area is shown, before the camera fades into a close-up view of Airai's stack of stone money pieces. Jeff Probst: <narration> Both tribes off… <The camera focuses on the Malakal tribe for a few seconds, as Ian can be seen picking up the smallest stone money piece. Tracy is then shown reaching out and grabbing Airai's smallest money stone>

Tracy: Which way're we going? <Eliza can then be seen pointing to the second platform, as the Airai members race over to it>

Eliza: <to Tracy> We're going over here… <The camera now shows the Malakal members gathered in the white circle, as Ian sets the smallest money stone down>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Gotta have everybody in the circle before you set it down! <Tracy now sets Airai's first money stone down, as the five Airai members race back to platform 1, and pick up the second piece of stone money>

Tracy: Number three, right? <The camera then shows a wide view of both tribes, as they carry their second money stone. Ian can now be seen setting it down on platform 3, before the camera switches angles to show the Airai members again>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Now's where it starts to get tricky… <Eliza is shown next>

Eliza: I got it, guys. Let's go! <The camera shows the Airai members racing back over to their starting platform, before switching to another overhead view of the entire challenge area>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Undoing a mistake in this challenge could cost you a lot of time, so make sure you're right before you make a move. <The camera now focuses in on the five Malakal members, who are all deep in thought>

Kathy: The only thing we can do is put that first piece on top of this one… <Brooke is shown>

Brooke: <to Kathy> Yeah, we have to clear this spot. <The camera now shows Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Both tribes making their next move, <Another clip of the Airai members is shown, as they move the smallest money stone onto the second-smallest one> and it's the same move… <A rapid view of the Malakal tribe is shown, as Sherea and Ian make the same move, before the camera cuts back to the Airai members, who pick up their third money stone, carry it over to platform 3, and then set it down. The camera then switches angles to show the Malakal tribe again>

Brooke: Move the smallest one back over to number one? <Kathy says "Yeah," as the camera zooms out to show both tribes making their next move>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Remember, only a smaller piece can go on top of a larger piece! <A side view of a thoughtful Eliza is now shown, as the Airai members pick up a money stone>

Eliza: Now bring this one back there… <The camera then cuts ahead to show Malakal moving their fourth money stone, and continues to focus on them for a few seconds>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Both tribes tryin' to figure it out… <Joel can be heard saying something inaudible, as the Malakal members are shown whispering to each other, and Kathy can be seen pointing to platform 3>

Kathy: Bring that big piece over there, <A thoughtful-looking Sherea now says "Mm hmm"> cause it's smaller, <A rapid view of the Airai tribe moving another money stone is shown, before the camera cuts back to the Malakal members again> and then keep moving 'em back, you know? <The Malakal members can now be seen racing over to platform 3>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Malakal really taking the time to think it through! <Joel is now shown grabbing the smallest money stone> Airai just making moves. <Mikey and Tracy can be seen looking over towards Malakal, before the camera zooms back in on Eliza>

Eliza: It's okay; <short pause> we're good… <An aerial view of the challenge area is shown, as Malakal can be seen moving their smallest stone money piece back over to platform 3, after having made several moves beforehand>

Jeff Probst: <narration> You're gonna have to use all three platforms… <The camera shows a view of the puzzled Airai members, and then goes back to Malakal again>

Brooke: Ready? Let's go… <The five Malakal members can then be seen lifting up the 25-pound money stone, and carrying it over to platform 2>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Money stones getting heavier and heavier as you go. <The camera shows the Malakal members arriving at platform 2, as indistinct shouting is heard>

Brooke: Everybody in the circle. <Ian says "Yep"> Drop it! <The Malakal members now set the second-largest money stone down in the white circle, before the camera switches angles to show Airai again, and then zooms in on an uneasy Mikey>

Mikey: Theirs looks way different… <Jason is shown picking up the smallest money stone>

Jason: <to Mikey> Don't worry, we got it! <The camera now shows a thoughtful-looking Eliza, as she says something inaudible to Tracy>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Airai starting to struggle now! <Another clip of Tracy is shown next>

Tracy: <to Eliza> How are we gonna get that over there? <The Malakal members can now be seen carrying the second money stone over to platform 3>

Jeff Probst: <narration> This is the kind of puzzle you could work on for hours, and then suddenly "get it." <An eerie shift in the music occurs, as the camera focuses back in on the five confused Airai members>

Eliza: I don't think we should have this one in this spot… <Mikey is then shown>

Mikey: Do you want to just move it back or what? <The camera shows Jason and Terry both picking up the money stone again, as Jason says "Yeah">

Jeff Probst: <narration> Malakal making good progress. <A close-up view of Sherea is shown, as the five castaways carry the largest money stone over to platform 3>

Sherea: <talking loudly> Let's go! <The camera continues to focus on the Malakal members>

Jeff Probst: <narration> They've got the sixth money stone onto platform 3! <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera shows Aras, Mary, and Alexis cheering excitedly. Another view of the Airai members is then shown next>

Mikey: Damn! <A fast-forwarded view of the sky is shown, as the clouds rapidly shift and rain continues to pour down. The camera then fades out to show Joel and Ian carrying a stone money piece, as the three women jog behind them>

Brooke: Faster, Kathy, faster! <Ian and Joel now set the 25-pound stone money piece down onto the 30-pound one, before the castaways race back over to platform 1>

Jeff Probst: <narration> Malakal is very close! <Rapid clips of the frustrated Airai members are shown, before the camera turns back to the triumphant Malakal members, who are carrying the final stone money piece over to platform 3. The camera zooms in on a grinning Sherea>

Sherea: Yes! <A close-up view of the top of Malakal's stack of stone money is then shown, as the five castaways place the 5-pound money stone onto the top it. The camera abruptly switches angles to show Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <shouting> Malakal wins Reward! <A victory theme begins to play, as the camera shows a view of the cheering Malakal members. Alexis and Mary can both be seen immediately jumping up and hugging, before the camera shows Joel, Kathy, and Ian, and then switches angles to show the defeated Airai members. A frustrated Mikey is shown quickly running his hand through his hair, as he knocks his orange buff to the ground. A rapid clip of a disappointed Jason is then shown, before the camera goes back to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Malakal, congratulations! <A wide view of the entire Malakal tribe is shown, as the eight castaways smile excitedly and Alexis says "Thank you." A joyful Mary is then shown>

Jeff Probst: First things first: <short pause> choosing somebody from Airai to go to Exile Island… <The camera now focuses in on the eight Malakal members for a few seconds, as indistinct conversation can be heard>

Joel: I would send Mikey back… <The camera zooms in on Aras, as Kathy says "Or Tracy">

Aras: <whispering> Either Terry or Mikey. <Alexis, Kathy, and Sherea are now shown, before the camera scrolls back over to Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Malakal, who's it gonna be? <Another close-up view of Aras is now shown>

Aras: Mikey… <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera shows Mikey smirking>

Jeff Probst: Now Mikey, you have to choose somebody from Malakal to join you, <The camera now shows Tracy with a thoughtful look on her face, before turning to Brooke> which means whoever you choose will not get to go on the Coffee House Reward… <Kathy is now shown looking surprised, before the camera turns to Eliza, who raises her eyebrows>

Jeff Probst: <talking loudly> Come on in, guys! <The camera turns to show the Malakal tribe walking up the beach, before switching angles to show a rapid clip of the four Airai members gathering in a group on the orange mat. Terry plunges the orange challenge flag into the sand, before the camera zooms out to show both tribes, and then returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: We'll now bring in Mikey and Joel from Exile. <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera cuts ahead to show both Joel and Mikey walking up the beach. The Airai members can be seen looking towards them, as Mikey rejoins his tribemates on the orange tribal mat>

Mikey: What's goin' on? <Joel is then shown walking over to his Malakal tribemates, before the camera shows a close-up view of Aras and then returns to Jeff again>

Terry: There's, uh, nobody more surprised than me. I thought for sure we were gonna go in there and whoop the pants off Malakal at a lot of these games, <Jason is now shown widening his eyes> but the reality is it hasn't happened and it probably won't happen. <Eliza can then be seen making a face> But, um, once you're that high on a winning streak, then you end up on a sinking ship, you really have to shift it into gear and get out of it, <The camera focuses back in on Terry again> because it's more than just a physical thing or a mental thing at that point. <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera turns back to Jeff>

Eliza: I would like nothing more than to believe that this tribe can win another challenge against Malakal, <Jason is shown with a somber look on his face> but we're so far in a hole right now numbers-wise, and everything-wise that I really don't know… <There is an eerie shift in the music, as the camera scrolls across the castaways and then cuts back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Terry, <long pause> what do you bring to this tribe that's better than what Eliza can bring? <Eliza can be seen looking towards Terry, as the camera zooms in on him>

Terry: As far as doing some pre-planning ahead to the merge, I can offer them Aras and Ian, <Mikey is now shown listening intently> which I'm totally willing to do; <Terry pauses, as the camera shows a close-up view of Tracy> she only has Brooke, so… <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as a defensive Eliza immediately interjects>

Eliza: <to Terry> That's blatantly not true! <The camera now cuts back to Terry again>

Terry: <to Eliza> How 'bout you let me finish my sentence and then you'll get your chance to respond… <A wide view of the entire Airai tribe is shown, before the camera returns to Eliza>

Eliza: <talking loudly> First of all, Ian is 100% not going to flip on his tribe and go with the Fans. <Terry is shown with a tense look on his face> You'd have to be a pretty big idiot to bank on that after everything he's said about honesty, <The camera switches angles to show a conflicted Jason> and second of all, Sherea will flip. <Tracy is then shown looking up> That's not even a question, so that gives us an automatic six, plus Joel and Kathy if we can get them, so we'll be set… <Another view of Jeff is shown next>

Jeff Probst: So Eliza, <short pause> why should they keep you tonight and not Terry? <The camera focuses in on a determined Eliza>

Eliza: Because I'm not threatening in individual challenges. <Tracy is then shown with a thoughtful look on her face> You know, as far as me, Brooke, and Sherea, we would be much less of a threat to the Fans, whereas I think Aras and Terry together would dominate. <Terry can be seen shifting his expression, before the camera returns to Eliza> You know, without them around, I think Jason would have a much better shot at winning Immunity, <Jason subtly nods his head in agreement> and so would Mikey B and Tracy… <Jeff is now shown again>

Jeff Probst: Terry, <long pause> why should they get rid of Eliza and keep you? <A view of a burning torch is now shown, before the camera scrolls forward to show Terry again>

Terry: Right now, they need somebody strong and I've got the brawn. <Mikey can now be seen staring ahead> I'm gonna keep competing at 110%; <short pause> heck, I'll even give 200% for these guys, and, uh, Eliza can't give that. <Eliza now tenses her expression> Second reason: the alliance with Aras and Ian is solid, <Another wide view of the entire Airai tribe is shown> and that's gonna take these guys a long way. <Jason is shown looking towards Terry, before the camera returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: So Mikey B, <long pause> it does sound, from all the talk tonight, like it's either Eliza or Terry going home… <The camera shows rapid clips of both Terry and Eliza. A close-up view of Mikey is then shown, as he nods his head>

Mikey: I think we're all pretty much aware of it. <Another view of Jeff is then shown>

Jeff Probst: <to Mikey> But I think you'd all agree that we've seen some pretty big blindsides lately. <A wide view of the entire Airai tribe is shown, as the castaways nod> If it was you, Mikey, and you didn't see it coming, totally blindsided, torch out… <Mikey interrupts Jeff>

Mikey: Oh, if I go home anytime before the merge, I'm not the player I think I am; <Tracy is now shown smirking> I don't deserve to be in this game, because there's no reason why I would go home before the merge. I'll tell you that right now. That's a fact… <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera shows Jason turning his head, and then cuts back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Tracy, <long pause> truth be told, are you feeling worried tonight, <Another quick view of Jason is shown, before the camera goes back to Jeff> or you feelin' okay? <The camera now focuses in on a thoughtful Tracy>

Tracy: Truthfully, I don't feel vulnerable tonight, but I know there's always that chance. <A wide view of the entire tribe is shown, as both Mikey and Eliza look towards Tracy> You can't take anything for granted in this game, <A close-up view of Mikey is then shown, as he subtly nods> so the most you can do when you're at Tribal is hope for the best. <Terry can now be seen shifting his expression> Be prepared for the worst, but hope for the best… <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows a close-up view of an expressionless Jason>

Jeff Probst: Alright; <short pause> let's get to it. <Another wide view of all five Airai members is shown, before the camera turns back to Jeff> This time Mikey B has individual Immunity, <A close-up view of a smiling Mikey is then shown next> courtesy of Terry at the last Tribal Council. <The camera now scrolls over to Terry> You'll now pass it on to a tribe member who will be immune from tonight's vote. <Another view of the entire tribe is shown, as Mikey subtly nods his head. Jeff is then shown again> Know who it's gonna be? <An eerie sound is heard, as Tracy looks towards Mikey, and the camera focuses back in on him>

Mikey: Yep; it's gonna be Jason… <There is a prominent drumbeat, as the camera shows Mikey taking off the necklace and then handing it to Jason>

Jeff Probst: Immunity comin' back to Jason: <pause> the guy who started this chain. <A smiling Jason is now shown putting the Immunity necklace around his neck>

Jason: Sanctuary… <laughs> <The camera abruptly switches angles to show Jeff again>

Jeff Probst: Everybody in this tribe has worn individual Immunity except Eliza… <A close-up view of Eliza is then shown, as she raises her eyebrows. A mysterious shift in the music then occurs, as the camera returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Alright; <short pause> you cannot vote for Jason; <Jason is shown smiling and nodding> everybody else is fair game. <Another view of Jeff is shown next>

Jeff Probst: It is time to vote. Eliza, you're up. <A wide view of the main Tribal Council area is now shown, as Eliza can be seen standing up and making her way past the central fire>

<The camera scrolls over to Tracy and focuses in on her, before fading out to show Eliza arriving at the voting confessional and uncapping the pen. She begins to write a name down on her piece of parchment, before the camera shows a clip of an uneasy Mikey, and then goes back to Eliza, as she holds up her vote: Terry>

Eliza: Terry, I'm having to write your name down one too many times. <The camera fades into a close-up view of Jason> Hopefully twice is enough… <A close-up view of a nervous-looking Terry is now shown, before the camera abruptly cuts ahead to show Mikey placing his folded vote into the urn. A clip of Terry is now shown, as he walks up to the voting confessional and picks up the pen. The camera focuses in on Tracy, and then cuts ahead to show a smug Terry holding his vote up the camera: Eliza>

Terry: Eliza, <long pause> I can't wait to see the look on that face of yours if it's you. <The camera shows a close-up view of Eliza, as she blinks several times> My only regret is that you can't go out in a blindside like Earl did… <Terry begins to fold his vote in half, as the camera fades out to show a wide view of the main Tribal Council area, and Tracy can be seen walking past the central fire. The camera now shows a close-up view of her piece of parchment, as she begins to write a name down. A view of an uncomfortable Eliza is shown, before the camera shows Tracy walking back to the benches. Jason can be seen standing up, before the camera scrolls over to a traditional Micronesian mask, and then fades out to show Jason holding his vote up to the camera, but it cannot be seen>

Jason: <whispering> Um, this vote is for strategy tonight. <A quick clip of Eliza is shown> I think I have a chance to go a lot further in the game and possibly win the million dollars if you go home. <The camera now fades into a view of Terry, as he stares into the distance> Take care… <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as Jason places his folded vote into the urn. A close-up view of the central fire burning is then shown, before the camera shows rapid views of both Eliza and Terry again, and then switches angles to show Jason sitting back down. The camera then turns to Jeff, who gives a subtle head nod>

Jeff Probst: I'll go tally the votes. <Jeff can be seen walking out of sight, before the camera fades into a view of Eliza, Mikey, and Tracy. A close-up view of a tense-looking Terry is then shown, before the camera scrolls over to an expressionless Jason. A wide view of the main Tribal Council area is shown, as Jeff returns back onto the screen with the voting urn in his hands. The camera continues to focus on him for a few seconds>

Jeff Probst: If anybody has the hidden Immunity Idol and you want to play it, now would be the time to do so. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows a suspicious Jason turning his head, and then zooms in on Mikey, who remains still and silent. A burning torch is then shown, before the camera shows a quick clip of Eliza, and then returns to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Okay; <short pause> once the votes are read, the decision is final. <Terry is now shown again> Person voted out'll be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. <A view of Tracy is shown, as she subtly nods her head> I'll read the votes. <Jeff is shown again, as he removes the lid from the urn and sets it down on the stand>

Jeff Probst: <The camera now shows Jeff pulling the first vote out of the urn, and turning it over> First vote: <He stares down at it for a few seconds, and then reveals it to the castaways> Terry. <A smirking Terry is now shown nodding his head knowingly, as the camera focuses on him for a few seconds, and then scrolls over to Mikey. Jeff is then shown with the next vote already in his hands>

Jeff Probst: <Jeff quickly reveals the second vote> Eliza. <A prominent sound is heard, as Eliza tenses her expression, and the camera cuts back to Jason, who has an uneasy look on his face> One vote Eliza; <short pause> one vote Terry. <The camera goes back to Terry, and then fades out to show an unconcerned Mikey. Another view of Jeff is then shown next>

Jeff Probst: <Jeff can be seen pulling the third vote out of the urn. A quick view of Mikey is then shown, as he unfolds it. Jeff now reveals the vote to the castaways> Eliza. <A prominent sound is heard, as a surprised Eliza shakes her head dramatically> Two votes Eliza; <Tracy can now be seen shifting her expression> one vote Terry. <The camera continues to focus on a tense-looking Terry for a few seconds and then cuts back to Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <Jeff can now be seen revealing the next vote to the castaways> Terry. <There is an eerie shift in the music, as the camera shows Terry making a strange face> We're tied: <short pause> two votes Terry; <The camera shows a close-up view of an unfazed Mikey> two votes Eliza. <Eliza is now shown with a nervous smile on her face> One vote left… <The camera now focuses back in on Jeff>

Jeff Probst: <The music softens, as the camera shows Jeff pulling out the fifth vote. He turns it over and quickly looks down at it> Eighth person voted out of Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites: <A rapid view of the entire Airai tribe is shown, before Jeff reveals the deciding vote to the castaways> Terry. <The camera shows a relieved Eliza with a satisfied grin on her face. Terry can then be seen reaching down to pick up his bag and then standing up. A wide view of the entire Airai tribe is now shown, as Terry can be seen walking over to his torch>

Jeff Probst: <to Terry> You need to bring me your torch. <The camera shows a close-up view of an expressionless Mikey, and then switches angles to show quick views of both Jason and Tracy. The camera now cuts ahead to show Terry placing his torch into the slot in front of Jeff>

Jeff Probst: Terry, <Jeff pauses, as a frustrated Terry nods his head knowingly> the tribe has spoken. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows Jeff snuffing out Terry's torch, and then shows another clip of Jason, who continues to stare ahead>

Jeff Probst: <to Terry> Time for you to go. <A side view of Terry is now shown, as he walks out of the main Tribal Council area without looking back at any of his former tribemates. The camera shows a rapid view of a delighted Eliza, and then focuses back in on Terry for a few seconds, as he fades into the engulfing darkness. Jeff is then shown again>

Jeff Probst: Well, <long pause> for a tribe that has said over and over you need to start winning, <Jason is shown shifting his expression> you just voted out one of your strongest members. <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera shows a close-up view of a glaring Tracy> Hopefully you made the right choice. <The camera abruptly turns to Eliza>

Eliza: Oh, they did… <laughs> <The camera goes back to an amused Jeff, who subtly smirks>

Jeff Probst: Grab your torches; <short pause> head back to camp. <The camera shows another wide view of the four remaining Airai members, and then returns to Jeff again> Good night. <'Ancient Voices of Micronesia' begins to play, as the camera shows the castaways standing up and grabbing their torches. A close-up view of Jason is shown, before the camera switches angles to show all four Airai members from behind, as they walk out of the main Tribal Council area. An aerial view of the Micronesian village Tribal Council is now shown. The camera scrolls around it, as the screen fades to black>
