Rich in tragic history of a cruel regime as well as local culture, it is home to many famous monuments including the world-renowned Angkor Wat. And within proximity of Siem Reap, is Battambang province. Within this province lies Wat Ek Temple, the eleventh and FINAL pit-stop in a race around the world. Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg for a mandatory rest period. There are no more eliminations and this final leg is all that counts. Which of the three remaining teams will pull through and win The Amazing Race? Will Thomas & Zoey's lead from the previous leg give them an edge over the other teams or will all the other teams catch up? Will Henry & Florence be finally able to score a final first place finish after three consecutive legs in 2nd place or will their old age slow them down? Or will Michael & Tiffany be the ones to take home the prize after being in control for most of the game or will their bickering hinder their progress? Teams will depart from the final pit-stop, 12 hours after they have checked in on the prior leg. Thomas & Zoey who were the first team to arrive at 5.05pm… Zoey: Woohooo. YEAH! Once there, teams will have to take a taxi to the famous Taipei 101 building, the world's current tallest building where they will have to take the elevator to the top floor at 101 storeys to receive their next clue. Thomas: C'mon, we gotta go go go. Zoey: Oh my GOD! I can't believe this is it! Thomas: Final leg! Zoey (conf): Being in the Final 3 is just… surreal. Thomas (conf): We certainly didn't think we could get this far. Zoey (conf): We've come a long way, that's for sure. Zoey: There's a cab! they enter the cab and get driven off to Siem Reap airport Thomas: Right now, we have a lead of almost 2 hours over Henry & Florence and Michael & Tiffany from the previous leg… Zoey: Yeah. We just gotta maintain this lead as much as possible. We need to get to Taipei, Taiwan in the quickest way possible! Zoey: It is very important that we get on the EARLIEST possible flight as possible. Airline Counter: I'll do the check for you, alright? Zoey: Yeah, that'd be nice. Thank you SO much. Thomas: Hopefully… we'll get on a flight the other teams can't catch. Zoey: Alright… Airline Counter: From Phnom Penh, you can either catch a flight that gets into Taipei at 11am that connects through Hong Kong or a flight that gets in at 12.20pm that connects through Shanghai. Thomas: So we'll want to connect through Hong Kong then and get on the 11am one. Airline Counter: Yes, that but that means that you HAVE to make it on the 6.25am flight to Phnom Penh in order to make it for the flight en route to Hong Kong. And that flight is completely full. scene cuts to the airport clock which shows 6.10am Zoey: Is there ANY way we can get on? Airline Counter: Yes, if people pull out of the flight. And I cannot issue you tickets until that happens within the next 5 minutes or so. Thomas: We'll wait. PLEASE try to get us on that flight. Airline Counter: Alright, I just need you to wait over there. Zoey: Sure, sure. Thomas: We NEED this stroke of luck right now! Zoey: If we get it, we'll be set for at least the Taiwan portion of this finale leg. Thomas: Yeah. And that could mean an even further lead during the final city portion of it. Could we get the fastest possible flight to Taipei, please? A/C: Oh you're going to Taipei too? Your friends were just here. Florence: Oh are you serious? Were they a father/daughter team? A/C: Yeah. Thomas & Zoey, who will be travelling via Phnom Penh and Hong Kong, are scheduled to arrive in Taipei at 11am. THIS puts other skyscrapers to shame. Zoey (conf): It was just breathtaking magnificence. Thomas: C'mon, grab your bags and let's go! Zoey: We gotta find the marked lift to get up! Thomas: We can't take any random lift? Zoey: No, Dad! Read the clue! Thomas: Alright, where's the marked lift? Zoey: OH I SEE IT! C'MON DAD! Thomas (to driver): Please wait for us. We come back soon! they sprint towards the marked lift and enter, pressing the 101th floor Zoey: This is gonna LONGEST elevator ride of my life. Thomas: Just be patient… the lift starts to ascend Thomas: Woah. This is moving pretty fast. Zoey: Yeah. No kidding. We're like halfway there already. Zoey (conf): The elevator was REALLY fast. We got up to the top in less a minute. *the lift reaches the top floor Thomas: That was a really fast ascend of 101 storeys. Zoey: Look at the view! Thomas: I just hope we don't have to bungee jump off this building. Zoey: OH…MY…GOD… I didn't think of that! Shoot! Zoey (conf): I totally forgot the possibility that we might have to do a heights-related challenge at Taipei 101. I was FREAKED. Zoey: Please let the next task be away from here! Thomas: The clue-box is right there! Zoey: Judgement time! they jog to the clue box and retrieve their next clue Thomas: Route Info! Zoey: Travel by taxi to Sindian City and find the Bitan River! Phil: Teams must now take the elevator, back down 101 storeys and get a taxi to drive them to the nearby city of Sindian where they will have to find the Bitan River. Teams will have to search along the entire river for a race flag and their next clue. Thomas: Well, nothing for us to do in Taipei 101, I guess. Zoey: THANK YOU, LORD. Zoey (conf): It would've been DREADFUL having a heights-task at Taipei 101; the world's freaking tallest building. Thomas: Get in the lift, Zoey! Do you see the flags over there? By the boats? Zoey: Yeah! I do. Those are dragon boats! But there aren't any clue boxes there. Thomas: We must have passed it or something. they turn behind, bewildered Zoey: Oh my god, DAD! Is that it!? Where we came from? I see flags that we didn't see just now. Thomas: Unbelievable! Oh my god. We're so STUPID. Zoey: C'mon, Dad. We gotta run. Who knows how close the other teams are to us right now. Thomas: I know, I know. they run very fast to the clue box Thomas: Can't believe we missed it! -rips clue- Zoey: Detour! Oh boy! Thomas: Chinese Dragons or Chinese Dumplings. Zoey: Whaaat…?! Phil: A Detour is a choice between 2 tasks; each with its own pros and cons. In this final Detour, teams have to choose between two traditional activities used to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival called "Duan Wu" which is a festival used to remember Qu Yuan, a Chinese patriotic poet who committed suicide, nearly 2000 years ago, in protest of the corruption during his era. The choice: Chinese Dumplings or Chinese Dragons. In Chinese Dumplings, teams have to proceed to a marked section of the riverbank where there are traditional tools and ingredients used to make the Chinese rice dumplings known as "Zong Zi". Each team will have to make 30 of such rice dumplings only using the ingredients and tools provided and they will be given some basic instruction by a local who speaks no English. Once this local has approved of all 30 dumplings, teams will receive their next clue. This task requires no physical strength but getting the hang of making the dumplings could take a long time for teams who do not have dexterity and patience. In Chinese Dragons, teams have to proceed to a marked section of the river where there are several Dagonboats lying around where they will participate in a 500 meter Dragonboat race. Teams will be given a basic briefing on the techniques on how to row and how to co-ordinate with the rest of the team. Then, they will join an actual competitive 12-man crew Dragonboat where they will compete with another competitive 12-man crew boat. If the team's boat wins, they will receive their next clue. This task requires a lot of physical strength, stamina, will and coordination because all it takes is one person to slack and the boat will slow down considerably. -Currently in 1st place- http://home.vs.moe.edu.sg/devms/peru.mp3 Zoey: What do you wanna do? Thomas: I think we should maybe try the Dragonboats… Thomas (conf): My way of thinking was that there are 12 other rowers and since it's gonna be 14 vs 12, the odds of us winning are high and it'll finish in like 5 minutes as compared to god knows how long for the dumplings. Zoey: Are you sure? It's gonna be really physical. Thomas: Yeah, I think we should give it a try. If we don't get it on first try, we'll switch. It'll take like… 5 minutes tops. Zoey: Alright, Dad. Let's go. they run to the marked section with the Dragonboats and are given instructions on how to row Zoey: We might just be able to do this! Thomas: That's the spirit, girl! the 2 boats are aligned and the starting horn is about to blow Zoey: OH MY GOD. I'M SO NERVOUS! the horn blows and the 2 boats start racing each other Zoey (conf): It was absolute insanity. The pace was just… crazy! Thomas (conf): It was definitely MUCH harder than it looks. scene shows both Thomas & Zoey being uncoordinated with the team but both boats are still neck-and-neck Thomas: ZOEY! WE CAN DO THIS! Zoey: I CAN'T SEE! Zoey (conf): After awhile, the salt water that gets splashed all over the place got into my eye and I just couldn't see and I couldn't paddle properly. scene shows both boats approaching the finish line, marked by two orange buoys while Zoey completely stops paddling Zoey (conf): There was just no way to paddle with that much pain in my eyes and my arms and even somehow the pain got to my legs. scene shows the opponent's boat inching past Thomas/Zoey's boat and in the end, T/Z's boat lost the race Thomas: SHOOT! Zoey: Dad, I'm SO SORRY. Thomas: It's alright. It was hard, I know. Thomas (conf): It was REALLY hard and we didn't really expect it to be of THAT difficulty. Zoey: Sorry, Dad. (Hugging) Thomas: It's okay. We'll just do the other one. Thomas (conf): I just felt kinda at fault since I was the one who talked her into doing it. Thomas: It's alright, really! they get off the boat, get their bags and start jogging to the dumpling areas Thomas: Let's just do this as quickly as possible, my dear daughter. Zoey: Yeah. (referring to a piece of document on the table) Phil: Teams must now consume one of the Chinese's most notorious delicacy: the fermented tofu. The fermented tofu is infamous for its highly unbearable odour but generally delicious taste. However, teams will not be eating ordinary fermented tofu but the twice fermented tofu that is specially produced by Dai's House of Stinky Tofu. What teams may not know is that the Memorial Hall has since been renamed and is now referred to as the "National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall" instead, hence also having a changed Chinese name. Florence: Looks like being screwed over by Michael & Tiffany and losing to them in a footrace was a blessing in disguise. Henry: Well, we only have a 10 minute lead… And the place where we need to go might be further from our landing airport than theirs. So, who knows how this will play out? Florence: We're definitely not gonna rest on our laurels. We've done some substantial research on Indianapolis and we're ready to kick butt! Henry & Florence, on the other hand, are currently on a Delta Airlines flight to Indianapolis METROPOLITAN Airport which is scheduled to land 10 minutes earlier; at 1.10pm after connecting through Cincinnati. Once teams land, they will have to take a taxi and find the Indianapolis Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument which was erected in 1888 to honor veterans who were involved in the conflicts in the 1800s including the US Civil War, and the Spanish American War. However, teams are not given the name of the monument but only an old black-and-white picture of the monument taken in 1898, taken more than a century ago! However, while teams are expecting to look for the red-and-yellow flag far away in the distance, the actual place they are looking for is Chase Towers, the building just adjacent and next to the monument. The tallest building in Indianapolis. Florence (conf): We did our research. Henry: Alright, let's go. We're taking the elevator down. It's not far after that. I would have been looking at buildings far away if it wasn't for you. Henry: This last leg has been pretty thought-intensive and tricky. Full-stop. they reach the rooftop of the tower and… -pause- find rappelling equipment all set up & ready Instructor: Alright, you guys. You now need to rappel, face down, down the building, about 48 storey's high, and once I'll attach your next clue to the 2nd person rappelling, and you can only open that clue once both of you are on the ground, alright? Florence: Has anyone died doing this? Instructor: No. You'll be fine. Florence (conf): I re-iterate! I have a fear of heights. So things like rappelling face-down a 50-storey building isn't exactly my hobby nor is it something I'd ever WANT to do. Florence: Alright. I have a fear of heights but this is RIDICULOUS! For this final Roadblock, it will test the racers ability to recall intricate race details under the pressure of the one million dollars being just right around the corner. In this Roadblock, the selected team member will have to complete 4 parts of a puzzle that will determine how well they remembered the race. At each of the chosen 3 marked sections of the gardens where they will encounter 15 boards, each representing the 15 foreign countries they have visited. The first part requires the team members to insert the flags next to each of the 15 boards, in the order that the race has visited. The order is: Cuba, Guyana, Bolivia, Greenland, Ireland, Monaco, Czech Republic, Mali, Uganda, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Australia, Singapore, Cambodia and Taiwan. The second part of the Roadblock requires the team members to paste the respective pictures of the eliminated teams on the board next to the correct flags, in the correct order. For countries where teams are not eliminated, a total of 6 (Cuba, Bolivia, Monaco, Mali, Lebanon and Taiwan), teams have to paste the provided blank photos. For the countries where teams are eliminated the order is: Mike & Mark - Guyana Bryan & Kyle - Greenland Brandon & Alexa - Ireland Jeffrey & Ryan - Czech Republic Melissa & Sean - Uganda Dorothy & Lauren - Bangladesh Jessica & Ashley - Australia Jason & Nicholas - Singapore Jenn & Nicole - Cambodia For the third portion of the Roadblock, the team member will have to correctly paste the green Fast-Forward stickers on the 7 of the 15 countries where the Fast-Forward was available. These 7 countries are: Bolivia, Ireland, Monaco, Lebanon, Australia, Singapore and Cambodia. The fourth portion of the Roadblock will require the team member to label the 2 countries where the U-Turns were available. These countries are Australia and Cambodia. Once the team member believes that they have correctly completed the task, they may ask the stationed university professor to check their arrangement and if they are right, the professor will hand the teams their next clue. For this Roadblock, their other team member may enter the marked sections but may NOT assist their partners in ANY way but are allowed to cheer on as well as give strategies though they cannot mention anything in related to the answers or the team will be penalized with a 15 minute penalty. Tiffany (to taxi driver): Stay here alright? We're leaving our bags here and we'll come right back. Taxi Driver: Okay. Henry: Oh my god. Crown Hill Cemetery! We're here! Florence: I can't believe how close this freaking thing is! Henry: Alright, Florence. We gotta jump out. This could be it. both taxis stop and both teams are in a mad footrace to the clue box -both teams reach the clue box at the same time- Tiffany: GRABB ONNNEEEE! Florence: HENRY! GET IT, AND OPEN IT! QUICK! Michael (rips open clue): Travel by taxi to the Finish Line! Henry (after ripping clue): White River State Park! Phil: Teams must now travel by taxi to White River State Park. Once there, teams will have to follow a marked path to an area called "The Lawn", a famous venue for outdoor concerts. This Indianapolis landmark located in the middle of America's only urban cultural state park is the Finish Line for the race… The first team to cross the Finish Line… will win…. ONE MILLION DOLLARS! Florence: This is it! GO! GO! GO! Michael: Oh my god. We gotta GO! both teams rush to their taxis and both taxis take off… but in opposite directions Michael: Why are they going in a different direction? Cab Driver: There are many ways to get to White River State Park, my friend. Tiffany: And you're sure this is the FASTEST possible? Cab Driver: Yes. Michael: Oh my god, you have to MAKE SURE! This is worth one million dollars right now. Cab Driver: Don't worry. We'll get there before them. Henry: You're taking a different route from them? Taxi Driver: Yeah. You can use up to 4 ways from here to get to White River State Park. Florence: Are you sure your way will get us there first? Taxi Driver: You're need to get to "The Lawn" right? Henry: Yeah. They're less than 3 minutes away from us! Tiffany: You mean that was them? Michael: Yeah, it was. Tiffany: Damn! Thomas: We just passed by Michael & Tiffany. Zoey: No idea where Henry & Florence are… Thomas: Look! There it is! Crown Hill Cemetery! Zoey: C'mon, Dad! Let's get out right now! Thomas (to taxi driver): Wait for us, please! they sprint to the clue box and obtain their last clue Thomas: Route Info! Zoey: Take a taxi to the Finish Line! Thomas: The Lawn at the White River State Park Zoey: This is it…! Thomas: GO! GO! GO! Zoey: We really gotto GO GO GO right now! they run back to their cab Thomas: We need to get to The Lawn at the White River State Park! Zoey: Please go as FAST as you can please! Drive as fast as you can go without getting in trouble. ---- scene shows each of the Taxis driving in different ways to get to the White River State Park Henry: Oh my god. This is SO scary right now. Florence: My heart is definitely jumping out of my mouth right now! Henry: Damn! At this rate, it's probably between Michael & Tiffany and us. Florence: It's all coming down to which taxi driver chose the best & fastest route to the state park. Henry: I'll give you all my money, there's 200 dollars here to get us there AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. Florence: We're sorry we're rushing you but 30 days of travelling and competition comes down to this! We desperately WANT to win. Taxi Driver: Alright. I'll get you there as fast as humanly possible. Buckle up! the taxi driver steps on the pedal Michael: I'll give you ALL my money if you get us there first. Tiffany: Please. A million bucks is on the line right now! Taxi Driver: You'll reach there first! Thomas: Oh my god, I can't believe we're going to the Finish Line right now. Zoey: It has just been one surreal ride, huh? Thomas: Yeah. It was really fun too, right? Zoey: Yeah and I think we bonded really well. Thomas: Of course. But damn, it'll be nice to be the first Parent/Child team to win! Zoey: I know. Sir, could you please drive even faster? We need to get there as team number one! Henry: No matter what happens, I love you. You know that right? Florence: Of course. And that's why we'll win. scene shows the cityscape of Indianapolis as there are 3 different taxis racing to the same place Michael: Did you see that sign? White River State Park. Straight ahead! Tiffany: Grab the bags and get ready. Give all the money to the guy! Michael: GO GO GO, DRIVE AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN. WE NEED TO MAKE IT. ALL THE MONEY'S YOURS. Florence: It's not that far?! Oh my gosh, we're almost there. Thomas: Oh my god. White River State Park is just right there! Zoey: You see it? Thomas: Yeah! It's RIGHT THERE. Michael: Please lord… Let us be the first team there! Florence: This is it! The moment of truth. Zoey: I think we might be the first ones to arrive, after all. We just cruised through traffic the entire way. Thomas: OH! OH! Michael: RUN RUN RUN! -pause here for 5 seconds- scene flashes to another carpark where another taxi arrives… and the door opens… a leg steps out of the taxi and it's… HENRY & FLORENCE! Henry: FLORENCE! DROP THE BAGS! Florence: LET'S GO…! Henry: I can hear them cheering already! Damn! Henry: RUN! Alright, first let's talk to Thomas & Zoey… Zoey, how has your relationship with your Dad changed after this race? Zoey: Oh my god. This race has done WONDERS for us. We're now like best friends. Like gal pals! -laughs- I think we can now talk about ANYTHING. And we're THAT much closer than we were when we started this race. We love it. Phil: So, Thomas… What do you think of your daughter? After making it all the way to the Final 3 with you? Thomas: Zoey is just the incredible daughter that she has always been. You know, on this race, she has always been my motivation to go further and work harder. And I think our position in the race really shows how much we've grown to love one another. And Zoey's definitely a very talented and morally upright young woman whom I'm REALLY proud to call as my own. She's just perfect. Zoey (conf): The Amazing Race has been such a wonderful opportunity for bonding to take place between me & my Dad. We've really grown SO MUCH stronger as a team and he's definitely the person I look up to the most. Thomas (conf): The money is one thing but such strong family relationships is something that money simply cannot buy; as cliché as it may sound, it's true. Zoey (conf): And we're winners in our own right. Phil: Alright, Michael & Tiffany! How does it feel to come in 2nd? Michael: Well, obviously, Phil. Coming in 2nd is really bittersweet. On one hand, we made it 2nd position out of 12th teams in such an INTENSE and COMPETITIVE game. And it's a really remarkable achievement. On the other hand, coming into the Final 3, no one expects anything worse than a 1st place finish. So it's definitely REALLY disappointing as well. But heck, Henry & Florence DO deserve the win and we're really happy for them. Phil: So, Tiffany, how's the relationship? Still going strong? Tiffany: OF COURSE! Yeah, we do have lots of fights and bickering and very violent disputes BUT… we do that because we love each other SO MUCH and we expect nothing but the best from one another. And I guess you could call it tough love. And anyway, we KNOW that everything will be back to normal once the race is over and yeah… We have a very strong relationship and none of that "little" friction is enough to break that apart. Michael (conf): Tiffany was the perfect partner for me in The Amazing Race. She put up with my outbursts and lack of anger control and she KNEW that I was a very intense and competitive person. And I really think she's superwoman for being able to do that. Tiffany (conf): As unlikely as it may seem, the relationship Michael & I share is very, very strong. And after being able to survive this emotional turmoil the race has forced us through… I think we can survive anything. And I KNOW we'll spend the rest of our lives together, with our kids. Phil: And last… but definitely not least… our winners: Henry & Florence! Congratulations once again for being the OLDEST TEAM EVER, to win the 1 million dollars. What do you have to say about your teammate, Henry? Henry: Florence is just a remarkable person. She has not changed A BIT since I first met her almost 50 years ago. She's feisty, she's very competitive and she has that "no nonsense" attitude that made me fall in love with her, nearly half a decade ago. Our win today is really a testimony of the competitive spark in her that she hasn't lost even though she's 70. Phil: How about you, Florence? What do you think about Henry? Florence: Though I always make fun of Henry a lot, I have TRUE admiration for this guy. He's my rock. He's my everything. We've been together for SO LONG that I don't know what I'd do without him. I love him VERY much and this race has even further strengthened our relationship in ways I didn't think was possible. Henry is MY man, for sure. Florence (conf): I can't imagine EVER doing this race with ANYBODY else other than Henry. He's my knight in shining armour and he's definitely my motivation in life. Henry (conf): We as a team, delivered our promise to show the world that being old means nothing and age is but a number. Awesome leg, even if I skimmed over it in like 5 minutes because I couldn't wait any longer, the build-up's just been phenomenal. Awesome work Dragoon!

Better than the show, I think, and unlike so many TARs you had a good winning team. Dragoon, you have a real flair for this. I hope you are going to do another season. Have you ever considered getting involved with the online TARs? Do you think your talent for this would carry over to being either a team or a host?

I wish the real race could be as climatic as this. Henry/Flo truly deserve the win. In fact all of them deserve the win. I was pulling for Thomas/Zoey, but well, the real competition is between the Oldies and Michael/Tiffany, which you stressed over and over again in the episode. I'm actually glad it's over now.
