Actually that's not quite accurate, ILGE. As far back as the fall of 2006 some fans have thought they were a couple because of how touchy-feely they were
at the David Foster Gala (and they exited with their arms around each other. I've seen the pictures and video). I've always tried to keep from
"shipping" him with anyone as it just seems extremely intrusive to me. But some fans are always looking for clues, and there are quite a few that
have never wavered in their belief that these two were a couple.

Yep, there have been plenty of Clay/Jaymes shippers for quite a while. I never was into that myself, but they may have been right after all.

Yah, I read all about the Clay and Jaymes being a couple for awhile now. I always thought she had alittle crush on him, but who the hell knows and I guess I
just don't care. It's his life and he's doing it his way. . . as it should be.
ILGE ~ I believe some fans were alittle blindsided by the AI, sperm donating aspect of it all. I was! Never saw that coming at.all. Don't really care now I guess. It's just still kinda weird to me, but whatev.

I wish them the best of luck with the baby. I just hope after the baby's born they would speak about it. It could help other people going thought the same
issues and also make it less weird to the public. The last thing they need is for the baby to suffer from media attacks.

I hope so, too, latingrl. I know he values his privacy, but it would be nice for some reputable tv show (if there are any left) to have him or them on to talk
about it. If people could just see the joy on their faces I think most of them would be happy for them. The assholes would still spew their vomit, but
hopefully fewer people would listen.
eta: I don't believe for a minute it was AI - much more likely IVF, given Jaymes' age. I like these pics of her.

Clay Aiken appeals for world attention on SomaliaBy Guled Mohamed 2 hours, 57 minutes ago HARGEISA, Somalia (Reuters Life!) - Clay Aiken appealed on Wednesday for the world not to forget Somalia, where conflict and hunger have created one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. Aiken said U.S. and international interest in Somalia had been minimal since failed military intervention in the early 1990s. "There hasn't been much discussion of Somalia since the early 1990s in the U.S.," said Aiken, a U.N. goodwill ambassador, on a visit to Somalia. "The American population kind of got a bad taste of Somalia in the early 90's and hasn't really had much interest in the country since." Somalia has suffered relentless civil conflict since the 1991 toppling military dictator Mohamed Siad Barre. In the latest cycle of violence, an Islamist-led insurgency against the Somali government and its Ethiopian military advisers since the start of 2007 has killed thousands and made one million people homeless. "It's the most dangerous place for a child to be," Aiken said. "In the lower part of the country, southern part, I feel it's a more desperate situation than any place we've ever been." Aiken, 29, who was traveling on behalf of U.N. children's agency UNICEF, was in Somaliland, a relatively peaceful northern enclave of Somalia that has declared itself independent but not been recognized internationally. While there have skirmishes with neighboring province Puntland, Somaliland has functioning political institutions. "In Somaliland, you really do have a sense of people who really want to help themselves, who want to do better, who want to effect change for themselves, that is very hopeful," he said. Somaliland authorities hope a high-profile visit like Aiken's may bolster their case for world acceptance of their separation from Somalia. For 12-year-old, Ubah Mohamed, her wants were simpler. "I understand he is famous. I hope he will give us food and build a school for us," she said, near to a refugee camp. Thanks, EllieTay. I had no idea where Somalia was, but it's on the coast.
Apparently a very dangerous place to be. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gKQ6Hm0yuq8jNqzJY4rRkn0qzwhQD91H1RHO0 Negotiator: Kidnapped German boy ill in Somalia |

July 6 is too far away. I hope Clay steps on someone's foot or backs into a tree with his car so he can make the news before then. I miss him.
